This is the worst run Home Depot in the USA. Do not shop here. The entire store is a disorganized mess and severely under staffed. The parking lot is full of bums, dudes looking for work and shady junk hauling trucks 24x7, drinking and doing drugs in the parking lot leaving trash everywhere and pee'ing next to parked cars. Carts are scattered everywhere or sometimes some weirdo is sitting on them, this shows you how little the management cares. Now lets get back to the store itself, inventory is hit or miss, on several occasions I have purchased items and they are missing parts, when I exchange it I find ALL of the in stock replacements were missing parts, obviously someone is stealing and returning items that they don't bother to check. HINT: If it looks to be taped up or opened, DO NOT BUY IT, it is probably missing parts. Self checkout is a disaster and often completely closed leading to long lines with people cutting in front because they can't tell where lines start, heaven forbid if you need something that is locked up, they say it will be available upfront but when you ask for it and they cant find it the employees get annoyed and forget about you. If you need help with something good luck, most staff are nice and helpful but lets face it this is not the old Home Depot where you can find experienced (usually retired) trades people working, HD got rid of that generation of workers. Rarely is ever more than 1 register open with a human working, and when that line gets backed up they yell at you to go to Pro Checkout lines 1 & 2 and then those cashiers get mad when a flood of people show up in the Pro Checkout lines or need an item for pick up. Bottom line is this a poorly run store, I do not fault the employees or cashiers even though they get annoyed or offer limited help at times, you can tell they are overwhelmed and busy fielding questions. All this falls squarely on management, there is no pride of ownership at this store and it has been like this for a couple years now, I only shop here if no other choice, otherwise I would rather drive farther to the Hesperian or Newark store. PS: Here is an idea, maybe give the bums in the parking lot a box of trash bags and ask them to clean up.

I come to this Home Depot only when I need something very basic and is always in stock. It would seem that certain higher end items are either not carried at this location or they have one left that had been returned. I was just there yesterday and two things caught my attention right away. First their mobility devices for customers who have an issues walking are never charged up, making them useless. Second I know it's the holiday season, but at this store there is so much merchandise blocking the isles you have to squeeze through much of the front area of the store or wait for others to walk through then you can go afterwards. The entire time your in the store your constantly saying excuse me to others due to lack of space. The San Leandro store has a wider selection, and they generally leave merch to the side so people can walk by.

The Home Depot has the worst service, not knowledgeable, send you in circles; don't try calling. They keep hanging up on you! I've called 3-4 different times today; just get disconnected. I've called in the last 3 weeks; never get through to the supposedly pro regarding garage door. They transfer; once that happens it rings then hangs up on you!!!!! So annoyed!!!!! I'm trying to get through to get garage door installed but if no one answers; think I'm going to contact another company!

Came here to get blinds for our new home and associate Adriana was a HUGE help! She helped get our blinds and even labeled each one so it'll be easier to install. She also cut the ones we needed to have cut. She spent a lot of her time with us to ensure we had everything we needed. Great attitude, super friendly, and very hardworking! Made the trip to Home Depot very easy.

This home depot location is great. It's fast easy access to the freeway so you can come and get your equipment and you can make it to the freeway without being a traffic. The employees are friendly here always very helpful.. they pretty much have everything you will need home supplies landscaping and much more.

Purchased and paid in cash the blinds that I ordered last May 13, 2023 but it took them so long to have it installed. Its been 3 weeks now and still waiting. Calling them also sucks, they just keep on putting you on hold and transferring from one person to another. If only I knew their service sucks I should just have bought my blinds and get installed by another store. So If you're thinking of getting your blinds go look somewhere else.

Updated Review from Friday, April 28, 2023. I waited in the indoor Garden section for about 10 minutes. Then I decided to go get help. My firstt encounter was met with avoidance. The orange smocked worker turned his back to me so he could make a call. The rep at the "Returns" area explained that the two Garden employees were outside on the forklift. In the meantime I got into a conversation with another customer. Eventually he got tired of waiting, so he left. After a few more minutes I could see orange moving past me from my right. I yelled something like I've been waiting for a while, please help. He said something that I couldn't make out whille he hurried away.I decided to call the store while I waited there. I told the automated system that I had a question regarding garden tool and was transferred to a number that just kept ringing. After seven minutes on hold, I appproached the Returns area again. The original rep was on the phone. I explained that the worker was no longer on the forkliift and that I had been waiting for over twenty minutes and on hold for over seven minutes. I asked if there was someone else in the buillding with a key. She said the Garden guy was helping in another department. Oh, is that where he rushed to instead of helping me? The rep asked if I wanted a manager. Of course I said yes. So as she was dialing, the original rep informed my new rep that she was on the phone with the managet. My rep explained that I was waiting and tolld me that the manager was on the way to help me. Did she really speak too the manager? The first repp was stilll speakng to her.It was several more minutes before I was hung up on and the manager approached. They must have realized that I was the one calling..The manager did apologize for the long wait, but didn't offer an explanation regarding the llack of workers on the floor. I am giving two stars because the manager took the time to read the specs of thee trimner I was interested in purchasing. At least thirty minutes after my arrival, I had my trimmer and replacement wire/thread.Please note that there was aanother customer who complained to the Returns desk stating, "he still hasn't come yet..Here's What I Think... Don't bother. Go to Lowe's. For the small businesses who have HD finance accounts, I hope that this is only a Friday afternoon issue.

Went in to get 5 gallons of paint mixed and we got Mauricio! He was awesome! Very thorough, patient, informative and honestly just the best customer service I've received in a very long time. I get its part of the job, but lately in this generation you just don't get that top of the line customer service and Mauricio was so refreshing! Great job!

Oscar was so helpful! He made my trip to Home Depot worth while! I appreciate the time he took to help me find all the materials I needed to make my project come to life! If it wasn't for his dedicated attention, I am sure I would've spent forever trying to find things. THANKS OSCAR!

Has anyone else had problems with their pro rewards and or their account not being secure and are unable to enjoy your spending dollars earned as a Result? I'm wondering if they have people on the inside doing fraud either way they just don't care! I would not Trust a credit card account with these people! Almost impossible to get them to take a fraud report , no customer service what do ever I have had to spend two full days trying to file Police Reports in all the cities when it is Home Depot who has made these errors it's like they are as bad as the criminal Or worse! What b******** They allowed over 25000 to be returned on my purchases without any ref flags coming up this company had a bunch of employees that do Not care about thier jobs no Wonder they have such high fraud Problems I'm Surprised They can stay in business this way! I can't they will have to Fix it After Hours of work to force Them to I need a attorney to help me Sue these fucks For al The time This is taking me Because of their Errors ! Company is wrong!

We had the best experience shopping at Home Depot today thanks to Samantha. She agreed to help us with a smile. She was helpful with suggestions and knew what she was talking about. She was patient and kind with us. I'm appreciative this kind of service still exists!

My family and I have been loyal Home Depot customers for countless years, credit cards and all. Today we had the most disappointing and horrible experience we've ever had there and it was sadly due to one of the managers David Hernandez. He was awful, rude, unprofessional and continuously lied when confronted about the false accusations he placed on my father. Our water heater that we just got last year broke. We called the Home Depot service department and checked in to see if we could get a replacement on a warranty, even went ahead and asked her to check and see it it was in stock at this location, the person on the phone said no problem we have five in stock. Long story short, we have a active warranty and took it to Home Depot after removing it ourselves, David Hernandez was at the front, he's a manager (don't know how) The first thing he tells my dad is oh how do I know you didn't steal this? My dad said well because it's on my Home Depot credit card and I have my receipt there. He goes ahead and looks on it and says it's not there, I logged onto my Home Depot account pulled up another receipt more confirmation emails, screen shotted it all and sent it. My dad showed him the prof and he had a major attitude about it. Then he was a little pissed off because I guess he was sad that my dad is not in fact a thief lmao, then he had nothing to say and went ahead to inform us that they didn't have it in stock. My dad took him to the location, showed him the five that they do have in stock and said can you please refund me or swap it out because I need to get a new one as I don't have any hot water at home. He says no this isn't it and I refuse to help you because blah blah blah, "get out of my store" all these rude comments. So maybe his ego was a little hurt or he was hungry? Or he really needed to go home? There was still two hours left before the store closed so I don't know what the rush was. He was extremely rude didn't help and turned my father away, a loyal customer. David Hernandez is a terrible employee and not a good look Home Depot. Kathy was there too, she's no help at all and supposedly she's the only other person who works in that department so she's the one we spoke to on the phone? Horrible customer service, I would give you no stars if I could.

Awful checkout experience. There were two lines in the checkout point in the gardening side. One cashier asked me to be on her line, because the other line was going to be closed. I did as she told, and then she started chatting with the guy in front of me. The other cashier wanted to help me checkout, because I only got one item. But the cashier asked me to be on her line stopped the other cashier from doing so, after that, she continued to chat with the guy in front of me. I waited for a long time, and decided to move to the self checkout point. I guess this is why retailer shrinks and online shopping blossoms.

I went to Home Depot to get light bulbs. One of the reasons I don't ask for help is the amount of time it takes to get a person who knows the inventory to come. I waited nearly 25 minutes and when a person came they went to someone who asked for help after me. They were honest and told them I was first. After I was able to get what I needed I found out I would have to check out on my own. I believe that we should support the people who check us out and help to make sure they can feed their families. The people who worked at Home Depot were polite and considerate. I believe that management is responsible for the issues that I have. I hope someone from management sees my remarks and addresses them. At the very least I hope people who believe that we should want to support the people who work there have employment opportunities.
