I purchased some abaya today. Great quality and wonderful customer service. I will definitely return, the 2 hour drive is worth it. This store has a variety of items for men, women and children as well as accessories and home decor.

A very late review but the brother at Maqbool deserves a shining review. I bought a thobe for my husband and we lived quite far out from the shop. The brother at the shop helped us so much to find the right size, and we visited him twice in a week. Thank you so much!

Where do I start let’s go back 2 years ago when I finally walked in to a local shop near my parents house , I’ve been praying to come here for many years. Now that I am a regular I would love to say thank you to my elder for providing thee best clothing , jewelry, perfumes, air fresheners , hijabs ect. On earth . Allah has provided such a beautiful store with the best products in town. My elder has shared many stories that come with this mom and pop shop. There is too much love and peace in this place . I hope the world gets the experience I got inshallah. Peace be upon this shop! Alhamdulillah ??

The Owner is an elderly man who was kind and helped my friends and I pick out some thobes. He helped me find the perfect size thobe, and it was actually quality material! I am definitely coming back with friends to pick out some more. We even had a nice time chatting with the owner about his travels around the world.

Nice elderly man until you return an item that was damaged before purchase!!!
My 8 year old daughter chose her very first Quran from this store. It was open and the elderly (long beard) man let her look at the Arabic text to see if the letters were big enough for her to read. At the time of purchase we didn't check the Mushaf for any tears or damage which we should have done. A few hours later at home, my daughter wanted to read from this Quran and that's when we noticed the inside cover was coming off and the pages were loose at the bottom. Also there were finger stains at the outside top and bottom pages. I could not return it the same day so I gave the store a call and said I was returning it the next day. My 8 year old and I went to the store and I could see the man was not happy. He didn't let me explain and gave us a choice right away: either buy this Quran (one that he had ready for us) or get money back (he had $40 ready on his table). I said my daughter wanted to buy one. My daughter didn't get to choose so she checked the pages of the Quran that the man had ready for us and said to me that there are stains on top and some pages looked loose. That's when the man lost it! His face became red and he said to get our money and just leave! He said that he could show us 10 Quran and we would find something in each one! I was shocked and couldn't believe how a (muslim) man could treat a woman and a child this way! I didn't say anything because I didn't want to upset my kid. She was very disappointed because it would be her own first Quran!
We have a few Mushaf at home and have been using it daily. The pages and cover are fine and didn't fall apart.
Honestly, I could buy the same Quran for half price at Amazon, but I wanted to support our local Afghan Islamic store! What a shame for our elderly to have this kind of behavior! What a terrible example of an elderly for our kids.
Just make sure to check your item before purchasing!

This place a family owned Islamic clothing store it's one stop shop from home decor to Islamic clothing for men women and children it's the best quality clothing variety of colors and sizes for a cheap price compared to any store I have seen in the Bay Area the best customer service very helpful and attentive I recommend this place to anyone who needs Any Type of Islamic clothing best in the Bay Area good quality and cheap

A great spot for a variety of Middle Eastern clothing and other traditional items at a very reasonable price. The owner, Waheed, helped us with what we were looking for in searching out wedding attire for the groom to be. He helped us with measurements, finding the right style and priced everything very reasonably. The spot is located in a beautiful area of Union City but parking is a hit or miss... try to park on the street if possible where it's free and more convenient. Highly recommend this place.

We drove 2 hours Praying something good would be here I bought a purple dress the material was very nice and long lasting! also It smelled really nice, Highly recommend this store✝️Jesus is so Good! Praise the Lord Hallelujah!

The owner of the store treated me in a way that was worse than I have ever been treated by any other person in a work or commercial setting. Maybe it was because the other customers had left and he felt there was no one watching over him. He for some strange reason thought I was mocking him. I asked him the price of a nice article of clothing, and I said that I'll buy it after I get my paycheck (joking at myself really). When I proceeded to ask him the price of one of the perfumes, he demanded I leave, and started to yell at me and berate me. I was disturbed, and demanded I be treated better, at the least for the honor of my being a fellow Muslim (let alone a human being).Apparently I am not the only one to have been treated rudely by this man, when I discussed the incident with a local friend. He actually said many people have had bad experiences with the man, and suggested that the store is a front for something else.I sincerely ask the reader to avoid this place and this man. He has no right to harm the honor of another human being, let alone a Muslim who did nothing wrong. I haven't been to this area since, actually.
