This was a horrible experience! My 1st time shopping with them & probably my last. I ordered what I wanted online to create my backyard oasis. The problems arises with the order being delivered from the Union City Store #1132. The communication was the absolute worse ever! I didn't receive the proper phone call the night before to schedule my delivery so when the delivery arrived I was at work! The 3rd party delivery ppl didn't speak English well so there was a language barrier & I could NOT understand them. Trying to get my merchandise rescheduled for the 2nd attempt delivery was a nightmare. Everytime I called I was told something different by each person I spoke with. I ordered $3,000 worth of product to create my backyard dream oasis but the order was not retrievable with my phone number. No one in the store knew what they were talking about & everyone except 1 young lady name Josefina who I spoke with this morning gave me the correct information. Kudos to Josefina!!(who only works weekends & has been with the store for 15yrs). She is the only person who was adequately able to answer my questions, concerns & provide me with the correct information. I did finally receive my order with 2 items missing. So now the daunting task of trying to get that rectified. I will update with photos once I have everything put together.

Skip this Lowes. The rude behavior of some of their employees who think it's ok to take out their frustration on strangers amazes me. Look at the other reviews stating the same. Retail is dying bec of this type of behavior.
Had to return a defective item after taking the time to assemble it noticed one of the arms was not holding, To the person working at the returns area on 7/4 in the morning who's name starts with an S*****. VERY rude dealing with customers. I even said hello and thank you at the end. She already had attitude before we even started the return. My bad for assuming she would take the item like they usually do so thats on me. I'm not psychic to know where she wanted me to bring it. You guys had a chain, was i suppose to remove it? So she gave me attitude and started saying something. Told her there's no reason for the rude behavior as she could have said it politely. I would have placed it wherever she wanted it. She gets more irritated as I move the cart like she asked. Do you want me to move it or not? Had to ask myself if it was worth continuing the conversation with her, so I decided to speak to one of the managers instead. She said she would speak with her, whether she did or not, don't really know but after over 20 years of patronizing this store it will be our last visit. It's not worth dealing with people who think that being rude is OK and a normal everyday behavior.
Nazima on the other hand was helpful and nice. Thank you Nazima.
I'm not asking for super friendly and happy people. Just normal civil interactions. Before you give attitude and uncalled for behavior ask yourself, is it really the fault of the person you just saw 10 seconds ago that is causing your frustration?
Seriously go to home depot at industrial!

Yesterday, Gabe in tile was phenomenal. I had a list of supplies that he found for me. He was patient and knew all the answers. I don’t think I have had such a helpful employee any where or any time. It is well worth the trip from Oakland to Union City to have such a wonderful experience.

HORRIBLE DELIVERY SERVICE and IN-STORE PROBLEMS* I purchased a washer & dryer on Sat. June 8 & they said it would be delivered Sun. June 9 between 2 & 6pm. I tracked my delivery & the updates kept telling me they were 10 stops away, 6 stops away, until I was finally next. It was after 7pm, when it was my turn. The next text said they were NOT delivering until Mon. June 10, without ANY verbal communication. I got a text @ 5am stating the driver was on the way-again, no verbal communication. I called the store & after being transferred& speaking to 5 different people I received stories that the driver said he could not drive down my narrow road & that's why he didn't deliver it. That is a lie, I sty on a wide street where you can double park & still have space to drive around. I believe it was after 8pm & he was lazy & just didn't want to do the job. I was told my items were on a truck & hadn't been brought back to the warehouse so they couldn't deliver them. I told them to give me another set on a different truck. I was told my order was NOT on a truck so they could not bring it to me. They said they didn't know about any text I received @ 5am stating I was next for delivery. They had scheduled me for a Wednesday June 12, 8am-8pm window delivery without asking about my availability. I work & will have to leave work, be late, or not go in at all. Their lies, laziness, & unprofessionalism should not be the reason I am inconvenienced! *** I could not add a 2nd separate post, so I'm updating this one about the IN-STORE PROBLEMS I had @ Lowe's. *** I asked the salesperson to provide everything I needed so the delivery driver did not have an excuse not to do their job. Unfortunately, when I reviewed my order that night, I saw many videos about a stacking kit which was needed or they would not complete the set-up. I had to go back to Lowe's Sunday morning to purchase it.
Another salesperson assisted me & told me they did not have the stacking kit anywhere & suggested I look on Amazon or Best Buy. I told him it was in my online cart & he then walked around the store & said it was not in the store. I showed him my phone & he looked again & found it right behind the counter. However, he insisted the model # on Lowe's website was not correct & told me I needed another model # which was the one he did not have. He told me I could try it & to keep my receipt in case I needed to return it. I reiterated that was not helpful because my delivery was that day between 2-6 & he just said to keep my receipt. I asked him over & over how/why there were 2 different model #s & he had no answer. He did say the salesperson from the day before probably didn't offer me the stacking kit because he knew Lowe's didn't have any. I asked him if he could ring me up & he told me I could walk upfront to use any register up there; there was only one person behind me & no need to not help me. I drove across the freeway to Home Depot & they told me I had the correct model # & didn't know what Lowe's was talking about. I drove back to Lowe's & spoke to a manager named 'G' & told him my concern about not having the correct part & how the salesperson, Bryan (I believe was his name) could/would not help. G made some calls & was told the part Bryan insisted I have was discontinued & the one I purchased should work. Unfortunately, I don't know yet because they have not made my delivery that was scheduled for Sunday, June 9 between 2 & 6 pm. I would like to be compensated for my time wastedTC professionalism.

Theft deterrence + bad service = Customer Deterrence.
Arrived at 615pm. Found what i needed behind a locked cage. Walker over to customer retuns counter and they paged someone (heard on speaker). Waiting till 630pm and walked over again asked for help, and again heard on soeakers call foe help. Waited till 655pm and left.
If you're going to make it impossible for me to get a item thats on sale, and then not provide the service to so i can purchase the item in a timely manner then don't bother asking why customer choose not to visit your store.

My dishwasher installation was cancelled for the 2nd time due to it was too big again and I have been calling since Saturday to get the correct credit I am owed back to my account. I keep being told yes we are crediting you and someone will call you back but no one does. Lowes is quick to take your money but when it's time to give it back they give you the run around and take their sweet time to call you, if at all. I am frustrated that the measurements were off again although the installer is the one who gave me the measurements the 1st time he came out and I am frustrated that I am still waiting to get my correct credit back. You really need to check when you are applied a credit, especially for an appliance. If I did not double check and took Lowes employees word, I would have been out over $150 for the protection plans, hoses, and taxes that they failed to credit back. Not a very good experience.
