Jocelyn is THE BEST!! As first time homebuyers, we spoke to multiple agents, and Jocelyn by far stood out from all the rest. With over 20 years of experience as a broker and lender, she knows the ins and outs of how the process should be. Jocelyn was always on top of it. She was super flexible with our schedule to look at homes, answered EVERY single one of our questions, responded even on weekends when she did not have to, and made sure to follow-up with any inquiries we had with the seller, escrow company, or lenders. She even solicited multiple lenders to make sure we got the best deal possible. Jocelyn is not only friendly and professional, but she was such a pleasure to work with. Without hesitation, we highly recommend her.

Jocelyn is a miracle worker! I called her when I needed someone on the spot because another realtor had failed me. She stepped up the same day, with no hesitation. She worked her magic and I was able to obtain the property with a better interest rate than I already had been pre-approved for. She made the process easy for me and I was happy!

Jocelyn was great to work with. We used her as our mortgage lender and as our real estate broker. She never gave up or was discouraged by the fact that we were a VA loan instead of conventional. This was refreshing since other agents we talked to were so unenthusiastic about our prospects due to it being a VA loan. She was passionate about my partner being a Veteran and making our first home a possibility for us. She was able to move us through the VA process quickly and without any headaches, even the sellers were surprised that she was able to make it so easy. We called her at odd hours and asked a million questions as first time home buyers and she was always available. She is passionate about her work and always there for her clients. She even helped us by using her connections to find renters for our current place since we were breaking our lease.

Jocelyn was awesome to work with. As a veteran, trying to buy in an area where there can be stigma about VA loan processing, my partner and I were feeling like the bay area might not be a place where we can use our VA benefit. We talked to many agents and they all had the same apprehension. Then on a lucky coincidence after clicking on a property to make an appt to view, it was Jocelyn who we were connected with and she was so fierce about making it clear that we absolutely CAN buy here. She knows the ins and outs of the whole process and knew exactly how to explain the process to cautious sellers and their agents to remove the stigma and concern. As a result, not only did we find our first home in the worst buyers market (lol), but we got it under asking and closed quickly. She was responsive all day and into the evening to get things moving for us. As first time home buyers, it’s a stressful process. You can read up about it, but nothing really prepares you for what will come up, and having Jocelyn on our side to walk us through everything (with the patience of a saint,) was invaluable. We are grateful to have been randomly connected, because she was the best person to help us find our home.

I used Jocelyn as my mortgage lender and as my broker. Jocelyn grew up in the area so I trusted her local knowledge of East Bay for my home purchase. I learned a bunch working with Jocelyn. She was patient as I incessantly asked her questions night and day. I was also surprised at her expertise in market psychology, as she knew the demand for particular styles of houses and what they would go for. I was able to get my offer accepted and not overpay based on her insight. Her experience shows when walking homes and she's able to calculate rough renovation estimates on the spot. Jocelyn is a knowledgeable and honest broker - highly recommended.

Jocelyn De Guzman, Mortgage Broker, helped my husband and me to refinance our home. She did an outstanding job. It was a difficult process as we worked with the Veteran's Administration for the loan. And everyone knows how challenging the VA, a governmental agency, can be. There seemed to be a never-ending request for additional information. Jocelyn approached each request calmly, efficiently and with optimism. She is a consummate professional, upbeat and a pleasure with whom to work. I highly recommend her.

Absolutely wonderful. We worked with Jocelyn to buy our place in san francisco and it was so much easier than i thought it was going to be because of her. She really understood what we were looking for and honestly helped us find things we didnt know we wanted. Was an incredible help navigating the neighborhoods of SF and knowing what the good areas are and what the nice up-and-coming ones are too! If we sell the place sometime in the future im definitely coming back to her! Sure responsive, super helpful, and super knowledgeable. Totally deserves a 5 star review

This past Aug. 2020 in the middle of a global pandemic my wife and I thought it would be a good idea to try and capitalize on the low interest rates while they were available. I decided to go with on of my close friends who works at Citi Bank as they had some of the better rates out at the time that we could find. While going back and forth with him sending in all the documents required for a new purchase it just kept getting delayed over and over again due to the influx of applications from others trying to also purchase and or refinance their homes too. After about a months time we asked to just refinance our current home rather than get approved for a new house thinking this would be easier and we really did not need to buy a new house as ours is just fine already. Welp, this refinance too was just a back and forth game of sending the same documents over and over with nothing but delays and frustration. Being good friends I asked him what is the likely hood this gets done in the next 30 days or so as it has now been almost 3 months of working on it and sending the same docs multiple times. He was honest with me and said he really did not know as Citi Bank had a lot of deals in cue for refinance and or new home loan approvals and he too was losing faith that this would get done in a timely fashion. This is when he reached out to Jocelyn for help. Now it is not normal for one loan agent to send a customer to a competitor but since he was my friend he was really just looking out for my best interest. As soon as we were put in touch with Jocelyn she was on top of things and was very professional with extreme attention to detail. She understood that we were working on this for the past 3 or 4 months with another broker and almost at the point of just giving up and just holding off till maybe next year. At this time we did not have high hopes it would get done but thought hey lets just give it another month and if nothing happens then hey no problem we at least tired. We had a couple conversations via phone and email about what we were looking to do as far as our refinance and she got to work. At 1st we wanted to just maybe pull out $ from our refinance to do some home renovations. She went over a number of options with us but we were still skeptical that it would actually get done. About 5 business days later she calls us and says were pre approved and can lock in our rate now if we liked or wait and see if it got lower next month... Whaaa, approved that fast, like how? My wife and I were kind of in shock as it took our friend from Citi Bank almost 3 months and could not get it done. We decided to lock in the rate now as it was already on the lower side of what we have been seeing out there. I personally owe back taxes from being self employed so I asked how hard would it be to refinance and pull out additional $ to cover my back taxes and still have $ for our home improvements. This was so much easier than I would have ever thought as she simply said not hard at all and got us new payment quotes with different amounts of $ back options. My wife and I went over our options and chose the one we felt best for us. So now we have a new refinance approval and extra funds to pay off my taxes too, man this was just getting better and better. Prior to the loan docs being drafted up Jocelyn asked me if id like the mortgage company to pay off the taxes prior to distributing the funds into our bank account. Uhhh that was a no brainer cause who would actually like to attempt to call the IRS LOL. The whole process with Jocelyn was nothing but spectacular. Yes, I do feel bad my friend was not able to help us and make a commission but I sure was happy he referred us to Jocelyn. The level of attention she gave us without any pressure to decide or do anything we did not want to and willingness to help with any questions or issues we had with out hesitation is what earns her 5 stars and if possible 10. A great mortgage broker and seller's agent. As a first time home buyer I had a lot of questions. What is an impound account? What is this questionnaire I need to buy for the condo? Why are there so many documents needed? Jocelyn was always kind and very patient throughout the entire process as my mortgage broker. She was able to find me an amazing loan at a 2.99% interest rate with only 5% down (your millage will vary due to credit score and other factors). She was quick to respond and to let me know when there was an update. Will definitely be working with her again in the future.

Jocelyn is a miracle worker. As both my buyers Agent and my Loan Broker, she makes sure she gets the best for her clients. she knew that about my financial situation and always knew what property made sense for me and my family. She will go into each transaction as if it was for her in my situation and will point out things to me and my wife that we'd never have thought of . She listens to your needs and goes above and beyond to serve her clients. She creates relationships that lasts a lifetime. The transaction went so smoothly.
