I had purchased some art work from a friend in Long Beach. The package was delivered last evening. My friend also had sent 2 laundry type bags. When I opened the package the art work was gone. The bags remained. When I looked closer to the package I saw that someone had opened one side of it and re-taped it. This is a federal crime. I'm pretty heated up about it.

HORRENDOUS. I had a total of three missing packages but one was finally found so, I currently have two missing packages.Package #1: worth $350 and missing for an entire month now because the delivery person put it in someone else's mailbox on my road. The reason I know this is because they have GPS coordinates taken of where they leave packages. The coordinates were for the tower of mailboxes at the bottom of my road. All of the mailboxes require keys. That means that no one could steal it out of my mailbox and that is was put in the wrong mailbox and most likely whoever wrongly received it, stole it. I've filed a claim a week after the package didn't show up and gotten no response. Then I left a very poor review with USPS after I received a survey about my claim experience. No response. I've gone in numerous times and gotten nothing but run around and promises of the post master or a manager will call you and no one ever calls. Finally, one day, a very helpful gentleman (that I regretfully don't know his name) overheard me talking to another worker and was visibly upset by my story of three missing packages. He had the girl that I was talking to go for management. Management was gone so they left a detailed message and said they would call me. No one called. I went back in and saw the helpful gentleman again and he got a fellow named Miguel. Miguel told me about the GPS coordinates and said someone would call me back. No one called me and it's been a week since then.I get that it's the holidays but two of my packages went missing in November and all three totalled $600 worth of goods.Package #2: The package was too large to fit in my mailbox so the delivery person took it back to the post office. They did NOT leave a slip. The company the package was from never notified me that they had shipped the package so I was unaware of the "attempted delivery." I contacted the company after realizing how long it had been since I placed the order and they sent me tracking info immediately. The tracking said attempted delivery on 12/6. I went in more than a week later when I became aware. No one could find my package. They found it the next time I went in to complain that I had three missing packages and was getting no help.Package #3: Still missing. Tracking says "delivered to garage door or other door." Again, I have a locked mailbox at the end of my road. USPS does not ever drive all the way up to my property and if they did they cannot gain access due to our gate. The package could most definitely fit in my locked mailbox because this is something I have ordered numerous times and it's always been put in my mailbox. They said the GPS coordinates were somewhere on Potter Valley road and that someone would call me. No one has called me so, I'll be back in after the holidays.I've been forced to get a P.o. box in Ukiah (which cost $120 a year) in the hopes that this will minimize future loses. The worst part is that you can't even avoid USPS anymore because now carriers who used to deliver directly to our property gate are dropping them off at the post office and then the post office loses them and offers you no resolution. I'm 8 months pregnant and my family lives on the other side of the country. I'm expecting a lot of packages. Also, I have a life so this run around and needing to go into the Ukiah post office to MAYBE get any little bit of help is extremely inconvenient and time consuming.

The gentleman working the front counter has given exemplary services! He even went over and above to repackage my delivery to ensure it did not get damage in transport. There is also a very nice lady who works the front as well, they make a good team. Getting people in and out quickly and efficiently! Makes my lunches a breeze when I have to take packages in!

AVOID this Post Office at all cost a few good employees the remainder ? It would take pages to describe my travails here over the years but suffice to say I had better service at Tijuana Post Office in the 1960's. Go to Upper Lake Post office or Cappella Office it's worth the drive. I now commute to use the USPS ?????

I really like the seasoned employees that been working here for a long time. I have been coming to this location for over 9+ years. The last 6 months or so they have hired several new employees. And over the last 6 months my mail was open emptied out and taped back up on MULTIPLE occasions or I will receive a notice on tracking the mail delivered to Po box with no package to be found in a Po box or the package just disappeared from the premises. When I ask employees about it we just get told to have the sender resend the item. How about not removing my product from it's package? Anyhow pure disappointment with a now dishonest atmosphere.

No wait to drop off my parcel in the parcel box. There was a short line to see a clerk, two people waiting, and there was two clerks working. It was 9:30 am on a Wednesday morning.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I hate when USPS lies and says they attempted to deliver my package at 10:30pm, but said they couldn’t because I wasn’t home. First of all, I have cameras around my home and no one attempted to deliver my stuff. Now I am forced to go pick it up when I pay money for it to get delivered to my door. I honestly hate that USPS workers are such lazy liars. They should either do their job or quit.

A smile crosses my face every time I cross the threshold at this wonderful post office. Always kind. Always friendly. Always proactive. For almost 10 years, I’ve had smooth transactions at this location. There’s a reason why I live in Blue Lakes and still commute to Ukiah to ship from here – they’re that reliable, even for my most precious and valuable packages. The experience has always been overwhelmingly positive.Every postal worker I've interacted with here has been nice and/or efficient. My favorite employee is the postmaster, Steve. He may come off as a bit firm or intense with his directions, but he has a terrific sense of humor and gets the job done. Sometimes, I go out of my way to go to his station just because seeing Steve brightens my day.Every time I have ever visited this location, I’ve always observed Steve interacting with other customers - consistently you will hear him greet them by their name, inquiring about one's day, family, or suggesting the best shipping options.Steve truly is a shining example of productivity and the epitome of composure. He’s incredibly patient, to the point that he didn't even blink when an irate customer shouted expletives at him for reasons beyond his control. I’ve seen him handle some of the most horrific, short-fused, verbally abusive, and absolutely crude people. I've witnessed him navigate, diffuse situations, and take control of really tense interactions with class, integrity, and strength – I even gave him the nickname “George Clooney.”I can vividly remember how he sat down with a confused elderly couple, explaining and repeating their situation at least five different ways so they could better understand there were solutions to their issues. Or the time he displayed unbelievable patience and compassion as he helped a sweet Grandma struggling to choose between the daffodils or the daisies commemorative postage stamps as she meticulously polished her spectacles…how many people do you know would take the effort and time to do this?Even during busy hours, Steve will do his best to keep the line moving and making every transaction as quick as possible (without rushing or being rude). Even when he looks stressed or burnt out, it's never affected his job performance or his politeness.Customers need to realize that just because the post office closes at 5:30, does not mean that the employees stop working. Also, these employees are not indentured servants. Please don’t hunt down the overburdened employee to take your aggravation and frustrations out on. The post office is not the place for entitled, adult-babies to cry about "inadequate service" when you have been waiting for literally three minutes. Some customers appear to have forgotten their manners, especially with those whose job it is to assist them. Please take responsibility for the energy you bring into this space...your behaviors matter. Take a deep breath, watch a couple of tiktoks, check your email, do anything other than use these employees as your personal punching bags.Yes, the lines are often long (the post office has been chronically understaffed and overworked for years) but this post office is like a revolving door, moving customers in and out at a great pace. We need to be compassionate and empathetic to our essential workers. When reading negative reviews, remember that more furious people write reviews than contented customers. All things considered this location provides among the most pleasant post office experiences one can expect. This place and its employees should be an example to all other USPS locations.
