Wowowow!! This is what you call a hole in the wall. Amazing tacos, fresh handmade tortillas, big portions, and full of flavor. You also get a good view of the mountains while eating outside. My boyfriend took me here 2 days in a row, once for lunch and the other for an early dinner. I think this has to be one of my favorite places to get tacos now. So the process of ordering, you place an order at checkout inside the market. Then head to the wooden building next door, and you let the worker know what meats and condiments you want for the tacos. It was such a treat to experience hand-made tortillas, soft and doughy but holds together well without any tearing like factory made tortillas. The meat was well seasoned and juicy. My order: Pollo w/ cilantro + salsa verde medio + jalapeño, no onions Bf's order: Carne Asada & Carnitas w/ cilantro + salsa verde medio + jalapeño/serrano + onions Next time I visit my bf, he'll have to take us here again. It's well worth a trip!

went in to buy carne asada and they charged extra to marinade it. all they do is put it in the marinade that's on the counter. then the meat is full of fat and chewy. They leave the fat on to charge more when they weigh it . it's like you are eating rubber. Then the price is high . A rip off . go to the forks market.

Really, really good tacos with hand-made fresh tortillas. This is a lovely local business with great street food. They will prepare Carne Asada (as well as sides) for large groups and you can have you meat cooked or marinated for you to cook.

They say it's the best Mexican food in town! Large, hand pressed corn tortillas. Unique ordering experience. Order in the market, then go next door to the kitchen.

El mercado del amor y verdes. You need to visit this market as soon as you run out of tajin or tortillas or Tecate. All the best things begin with the letter T. They have pretty much everything you could ask for, and I'm not exaggerating about that either. To be honest with you, this is my first stop when I need some delicious marinaded carne, as well as pollo con sabor, y cerdo con cilantro. If you like street tacos done the way they have always been meant to be served to you, then you do not need to look any further because you can get the ones you dreamed about right here at this market. They generally come with two tortillas cerca de carne o pollo, y sabor esta gratis. Can you believe it? They are for everyone! Engage with friends at your table and bring the world together. That's what it's all about when you shop and eat with the friendly folks at Chavez Market. El Mercado de Dios. ¡Gracias Jesús Crísto!

Exceptional tacos and handmade, fresh tortillas. Ordering process is a bit screwy, but, figuring out how it all works makes every bite worth it. One of my favorite establishments in Northern California for tacos.

Best mexican food in Ukiah valley. Order inside the grocery store and walk outside across the parking lot to the setup outside the billards. Hand the lovely person working your receipt and be sure to tip!

Exceptional tacos and handmade, fresh tortillas. Ordering process is a bit screwy, but, figuring out how it all works makes every bite worth it. One of my favorite establishments in Northern California for tacos. On this most recent visit, I had carnitas and al pastor. I also had a tamale which I picked up inside and found it pretty boring. Stick with the tacos!

Personally, it’s my favorite place to get Mexican food. Love the quesadillas de carnitas and barbacoa.

This used to be the best place to get tacos in town. They make the best authentic carnitas and homemade tortillas. Most of the ladies cooking don't speak very good English but one of them was very nice. It used to have a great salsa bar with cabbage and cilantro. Apparently because of COVID they're no longer allowing the same condiments. On the side of each order are grilled onions and jalapeños, but they often run out of them and this last time they ran out of carnitas. I'm so bummed because I used to recommend them to anyone despite their atmosphere and service. The food used to be so good that sitting outside on a dirty picnic bench was worth it. I can no longer recommend them though.

Best tacos north of Tijuana, they hand press the tortillas as you watch. You dont know what a street taco is until you sample Chavez.
