Great food! We stayed in 2 different rooms 2 different nights. I definitely wouldn't come back for the rooms, but I would put up with the beds for her food! Outstanding breakfast both morning!

Please note, that I have reached out to the owner before writing this review and as of today, I have not received a response. I am guessing that the owners once were gracious but are now rude and offensive. From me being attacked in front of other guests for drinking her son's "irreplaceable" beer which was kept in the guest-accessible refrigerator along with sodas, water, and wine that was offered to guests to being rudely reminded that check-out time was 11 am even though the roads were closed due to snow and the stairs out of the house were iced over, I've never been so offended and upset. The house is surrounded by nature's beauty but desperately needs updating (think early 1990's). Make sure that you do not get a room in the front as you will hear traffic noise all night. The "gourmet" breakfast consists of pre-made casseroles and they ran out of coffee and creamer. Please, please, please look elsewhere for a place to stay if you are in Tuolumne County!!

Please note that most of the reviews are several years old, particularly the 5 star ones. I'm guessing that the owners of the inn were once gracious but are now rude and offensive. From being attacked for drinking her son's "irreplaceable" beer which was kept in the guest accessible refrigerator along with sodas, water and wine to being told that check out time was 11am even though the roads were closed due to heavy snow and the stairs out of the house were iced over, I've never been so offended and upset. The house is surrounded by nature's beauty but desperately needs updating (think early 1990s). The gourmet breakfast consisted of casseroles and they ran out of coffee and creamer. Please, please, please look elsewhere for a place to stay!!!!Safety: Steep, hard to negotiate steps to get to the entrance.Food & drinks: DO NOT drink anything out of the small guest refrigerator in the sitting room.Noteworthy details: Incredibly rude owner

This is my first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast, and let me tell you WOW! My boyfriend and i wanted to take a spontaneous last minute trip up to twain hart I searched around and stumbled upon McCaffery Bed and Breakfast looked at the reviews and felt confident! In all honesty i was a little weary since this was my first time but I am so grateful for the accommodations Stephanie provided. The house as it is looks stunning. The room ( Mocha Room) so beautifully neutral tones, comfortable bed, Fireplace and stunning views. Don't even get me started on the amazing breakfast she provided. Hospitality was overall outstanding

Stephanie is the greatest host. She is so sweet and accommodating. Chef Josh made the best dinner of flavorful chicken and vegetables. The salad and soup were delightful. We experienced the highest level of service possible. Thank you all for making a work trip enjoyable.

Really impressed with this little gem, very clean room and beautiful views from the room. Totally worth the drive from Dodge ridge.

We stayed over MLK weekend because we wanted to take our 9-month-old lab to the snow for the first time. From the moment we arrived to the moment, we left there was so much hospitality. We stayed in Wedgewood which is on the second story and at the front of the house. The room was cozy, clean, and a perfect place to relax. The first night, our puppy had a hard time falling asleep since it was his first overnight trip, and would give a single alert bark to anything he heard. We were paranoid that he was disturbing the other guests and after a sleepless night, we decided we would head home early instead of staying another night. At breakfast, Stephanie asked how our night went and how our puppy did. We apologized and let her know we were going to leave instead of staying the night again because of his barking. She let me know there was no reason to leave and absolutely no one heard anything. She encouraged us to complete our stay. After another guest at breakfast said they were worried as well because their dogs barked a couple of times, but we heard nothing at all, we happily decided to stay another night. We are so happy we did because our pup did so well the second night.Breakfast was hearty, filling, and delicious. For January, I was impressed at the quality of the fruit served and glad to hear that the eggs were local from a small group of chickens.McCaffrey House is right off the highway with easy access to Sonora (where we are dinner each night) and Pinecrest (where we went to place in the snow).True hospitality and personal care. Highly recommend and look forward to returning whenever we plan to go back to the area.

The McCaffrey House Bed & Breakfast is a must-do if you have not experienced the best B&B yet. Of course, if you have stayed at the McCaffrey B&B, you know it is a place to incorporate into your annual vacations. The B&B folks make you feel at home and welcome you four-legged children. The latter made my stay even more rewarding. The breakfast was outstanding and the bed was absolutely comfortable. Beautiful area with many hikes and sites to see, as well! Like I led with, the McCaffrey House B&B is a MUST-DO!

I stopped by to use the Tesla charger twice. It's not a supercharger, but was the last charger before heading up the mountain pass and was much appreciated. Lovely lady who runs the place, and it looked like a great place to stay, full of character.

We really love this place. We were married here 15 years ago and have returned to spend our 15 anniversary here. This place has so much love and beauty, I'd recommend if you are ever in the area.

I had a quick stay but absolutely loved it. The room was a good size, but also quaint and cozy. The sheets are absolutely amazing and I want to buy some for myself. And I got to wake up to a view of neverending trees, which is just the most calm way to wake up. I had a really early morning and the owner was so sweet to wake up early to make sure I had a yummy breakfast before I left. Definitely plan to come back.
