I was blatantly lied to when I got my auto loan through them. While the interest rate it good, they told me things that weren't true about my skip a payment options which almost caused me to miss a payment and default on the loan. They need to retrain the workers to know their policies better, it almost cost me believing what I was told at face value. Edit: Jessica from the loan dept helped me vastly. This review was strictly for the branch and the initial agent spoken to.

Of all of the financial institutions I have dealt with over the last several decades, Wescom Credit Unions is the absolute worst. End up on terminal hold, the live chat nobody is there, and it takes a ridiculously long amount of time to get problems resolved. Not only am I changing credit unions, I want people to understand that this is not an organization that will take good care of you.

Great service and it seems everyone is cross trained on all duo of the operation. Professional and friendly staff. I should have joined this institution sooner.

Very polite , respectful, caring, understanding,. Each client is treated as if there the only one .. they take time to explain every option they provide per client over the top on customer. You'll love them , they are # 1 in my book . ???

My wife banks with them and we've had nothing but problems. After being a member for years, they still put a week long hold on the same check I write her every month. The money comes out of my account immediately and then Westcom won't release it all for a week. They charge fees for a basic checking account even though most credit unions offer a free one with little to no balance or direct deposit requirements. Take your business and money to another credit union if you want a no-fee checking account. Getting assistance from a bank employee on the phone is often a 30+ minute wait. If you have that many customers and that volume of calls, maybe you should increase the call center team size to handle the needs of your customer base and/or determine what is the cause of so many problems that require a phone call. I wish I could remember the specifics of our many other problems with Westcom because I'd add them. I'm really excited for the day I can convince my wife to switch to another bank.

Was not so nice of an experience. People usually talk to someone directly not across the bank or behind desk. If it was one of my staff I would reevaluate communications with someone to open a new account

I was told that it's good to have a credit union account. We currently have an auto loan for our Tesla through Unify which is great. We got a terrific rate. There is no Unify close to where we live so I opened an account with Wescom which is only 0.5 mile away. I opened a saving, checking, and a short term CD ($5k) in June 2018. On their website, when logging in, I was offered by them to open a Personal Line of Credit. I thought it is a good idea to have it. I already have one with US Bank since 2003 and have tied it to my Checking account just in case needed. Darsh was very kind and helped me to fill the application and submit it. They made a hard hit to my credit and told me today that they denied me! My experion score, according to Wescom inquiry, was 753 and they still denied my application for having other loans and too many recent inquiry! It looks like their claim of being a credit union for the community goes as far as a slogan. BTW, Their PLC rate is 10.9% (best credit rate) which is not that impressive! They denied it all together -not even an offer for a lesser line of credit! I told Darsh I was very disappointed. I think I am going to move to Unify after my CD matures in mid-January. Hard to believe all big banks honor the good credit I earned throughout many years (never had any negative item) but not Wescom Credit Union. I did not really need the PLC. I thought it was good to have it and gradually move away from big banks. I guess I will stick with US Bank for a while and find out how Unify is.

Deposit availability policies are really inconsistent here. A couple of tellers make 100% of my funds available immediately, while too many others put a 3-day hold on most of the checks, even though the check is from a large 5-billion-dollar company who has never bounced a check (and I've deposited close to 100 checks over the years with this company). I'm just going back to the Irvine Spectrum location, as they're always nice there and I don't have to haggle about making my entire check available!

I brought my bf to wescom to open an account and we got the best experience EVER!!! George is absolutely amazing!! Super helpful and friendly, his customer service is literally off the charts if you ever wanna open an account or apply for a loan or just do whatever banking needs ,he is your go to man! Thank you George!
