I won't give this location a one star based upon the actions of one employee because my experiences with Michael's, the company, as well as numerous other Michael's employees have been very positive. However, today's experience was so bad that I felt compelled to report this because it was outright and blatant racism. When I reported it to a manager, the manager was kind, attentive, apologetic and understanding. What more could I ask for? But, the employee? Stubborn and smug. I ordered something online and went to my nearest Michael's to pick up. As I was told, I picked out my order from the rack and then showed it to the employee. When I got back to the car, I noticed that one item was not included but it wasn't this location's fault. Michael's listed on my email confirmation that the item needed to be picked up at the Tusin location. I wished that would have been made more clear because it was in fine print but that's ok, no problem. I drove to the right location. I walked to ythe pick-up rack to look for my little package and this employee comes over to shut the doors and snapped, "Ma'am, I don't want you looking through my cabinets!" I replied, "Oh, I'm sorry! This is my first time here and the other location has us pick up and take it to the staff but I guess stores might have different policies. No problem." She sneered, "You need to wait in line!" I said, "No problem." I wasn't in any rush and I'm usually a very good rule-follower and I'm generally very nice and patient. So I walked around and stood in line while she finished with her customer. She says, "Next in line." And I walked up to her with a smile and she said, "My line starts over there and you need to go back in line!" Get this: There was no other person in line but me that whole time. So, I look back and there's a woman just starting to enter the cue. The employee says, "Go back in line." I let the other woman go in front of me but then, I got irritated and said very loudly, "Are you kidding me?!? I was the only one in line! I got here way before this person!" She just ignored me. I continued with my now loud tirade that this was ridiculous! And how she saw that I was the only person in line. So she says to the manager, "Will you take care of her?" I told the manager what happened and she was very kind and understanding and said she definitely will talk to that employee Jenny. It was clear this woman didn't like me from the first moment she saw me. Why? I apologized for going up to the pick-up cabinet and said the other location has a different policy but it was ok and that I had no problem waiting in line. There wasn't one except for the customer she was serving at that moment. I am not white. And I wouldn't call the race card except I now personally know family and friends who have been on the unfortunate end of racist behavior here in OC. Snide comments, being looked over for service in retail and restaurants. Honestly, I thought society was becoming better than this but apparently not. Michael's the company makes a big deal out of "diversity and inclusion" at the corporate level. I love Michael's and shop here as opposed to Hobby Lobby because of this. And my Michael's experiences have always been very positive but who hired this particular woman?

Love Michaels, especially around the holidays for good deals on holiday decor, gift wrapping/ribbon, etc. Writing this review to give Colleen on register a special shoutout...she checked me out today and she was so kind, funny and cheerful! A breath of fresh air!

Come here if you need art supplies!!!! I came here today to get oil paints and they were very easy to find. They had a wide range of oil pants and I found the exact brand I was looking for. The cashier was very patient.

Their service to pick up packages for ups is the worst. I received notification that a package was delivered to this access point and the employees along with the manager claim that the notification is incorrect. He goes to mention that sometimes ups claims the package has been delivered but they don't receive it in their possession until 2 days later like really ? Blatant lie because he didn't want to spend the extra two minutes. The store wasn't even busy so I'm not sure why they wouldn't put that effort to check for the package. the ups delivery notification even stated that a person named Tiffany had received the package. So making up stories is beyond unprofessional it's ridiculous

If you are into arts and crafts, this is your place to go. They have such a wide variety, and its great to be able to come in person and see and feel what you are purchasing. There is a huge yarn section, plenty of ribbon options, holiday decor, artificial flowers, stickers, frames, and much more. If you are on the lookout for frames, they often have great discounts. The buy one get 2 frames free is an awesome sale. I recently went in for a custom frame for an art piece we have, and Claire helped us. She was an absolute pleasure to work with as she was super friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us great tips on what they had available to us.

We are just at the end of our whole house remodel on a budget. I really felt the need to review Michael's. We have had several pics framed by them, and they have done a phenomenal job!! My son & daughter-in-law are pretty well-known artists, and I have really never had any of their work framed and put up because my house was so outdated and just a mess!! The first picture we had framed was at a small, family owned framing place not too far from my house. They were fine and did a good job, but when they told my hubby & me how much it was going to cost, we were both a little shocked. We went ahead and had them frame it anyway, but never again!! We have been going to Michael's ever since and had many pics framed. They have done a great job, and I will say that the customer service at Michael's is better than the other framer, and they are half the price!! I took in two small pics that my daughter did, and I picked a black frame for them, but when I put them up, they really bothered me. The frame was too wide and dark for the pics. They did tell me that, but I really wasn't thinking. I brought them back, and they redid them, no charge!! Now, I love them! They also put a different color matt on a big one I had framed for over my mantel. Once I put it up, I realized it was too dark for the bricks behind it. No charge!! Basically, they want you to be happy! And I am!! All the people who have helped me there have been great, very kind, and helpful. Thank you so much, Michael's, for helping to make my remodel perfect!! We will continue coming because we have decided to make our halfway an art gallery of sorts!

This is my local store. I am mostly here for yarn. They have a "good enough" selection and are usually pretty well stocked. There is always a coupon and I further make my dollars stretch by using rewards certificates. Mostly I crochet hats to donate.

I've been in there a couple times, walk the aisles and have the hardest time finding any person to help me or ask questions to. 1 register open as the line started to get long. Thank goodness they are next to Trader J's to perk me up or every trip to Michaels would be an annoyance.

I've visited this location a few times now & service varies from time to time, but on my most recent visit I was given the best customer service from this lovely young lady by the name of Lily (hope I got the name right, sorry if I got it wrong). I came in looking for some decoration flowers for pieces I intend to use for my upcoming wedding along with other items. I first encountered this lovely associate towards the back of the store, my sister & I found some decorations flowers towards the back where they have clearance items & Lily happened to be close by restocking a nearby aisle. My sis & I approached her & asked if she'd be able to use her scanner to confirm pricing for a few items. She assisted us, took some time to hear us out about ideas for my wedding ideas & she provided some good feedback. My sis & I needed help for a few other items & she directed us to aisles where we could find them. After finding the items we wanted to purchase we went to the register to check out & guess who was at the register? Lily again. As she scanned out items my sister changed her mind about some other flowers she had left behind & asked me to go get them. I apologized for the inconvenience as there was another customer in line & apparently that customer couldn't wait a minute & rudely left. My sis felt bad about the lost customer, but Lily was very kind & said not to worry about it & congratulated me on my upcoming nuptials. I hope this Michaels location gives this young woman the recognition she deserves. She made me feel like a valued customer, & it meant so much to me that she took the time to hear me out. My wedding is literally less than a month away & stress levels are up high right now, & encountering helpful individuals like Lily really make this journey much more easy going. Thank you so much Lily, I wish you the best this life can offer. Your kind, & helpful demeanor will get you far :)

I have been shopping at Michaels for many years and I must say the best experience I ever had is with Manish . He is amazing and delightful! Always helpful for my questions. I can't thank him enough for all that he done for me ! Thank you so much MANISH, you are awesome !
