I had the worst service here yesterday. I couldn't find an associate to help in hardware so I went to the front to ask. The cashier (the only one who provided somewhat decent service) called someone over for me. I saw the associate come my way and another customer stopped him. He proceeded to help them as I stood there and waited. When he was through with them he let another customer ask him questions rather than helping me. When he was done with the second customer someone in the next aside called his name. He looked me dead in the eye and walked over to the other aisle. I never received help so I left angry.

I am a relatively large contractor, shopping at big box stores is not an every day event for my crew. Odds and ends that are needed often come from these stores out of necessity and proximity to the project site. Our increasing frustration begins with self check out. You are treated as a thief and released out into the parking lot after they overview your purchase. Idea: instead of obligating self check out to your scrutiny, why not just check us out. You overseeing my purchase is an implication of dishonesty - which is never going to sit well with educated business owners who fully understand what's happening here. Loss prevention at the hands of a two week old employee at minimum wage is not a winning business model. Are they trained to answer technical questions about purchases, no. Are they trained to assist transactions regarding building material orders, no. Then why do you farm our purchases to self check out? I had a painting tip purchased. Only this 20$ item was in a locked case and had to be walked up to the checker. I said that I was going to use self check out to avoid the pro line. Nope. It needed to be a regular checker. ?!? Again treated as a thief. Business owners talk about these issues in meetings. It's demoralizing and cuts into project time. We strategize how to minimize big box involvement with regard to employee purchases. You should strategize this next remark: There are other areas to address when considering loss prevention; like no purchase at all. These types of write ups are usually met with remarks such as "here at Home Depot we drive to..." Or "thank you for your comment and we apologize for the way you view our..." Respond how you will, but you should really put the effort of your response into your foot traffic customers and reward their patronage rather than deem them suspect until proven innocent. We have moral to boost and production times to meet. We clearly have differing business models.

Why even have a worker who can't do anything, bad at cash register doesn't know where anything is or doesn't want to help. Regina shouldn't be working where people have to pick up tools/material and get back to the job site; slow and unhelpful.

In my experience service at Home Depot shouldn't be expected. This Home Depot maybe the exception! Not only were there employees who were visible and present in the isle where I was looking for a part ( plumbing ) but no less than 3 different employees approached me and asked "can I help you". I don't remember the last time I was provided unsolicited service at a Home Depot let alone seen a an employee available to ask a question in the isle I was looking for something...usually I have to flag someone down or wander the warehouse ( for an hour ) until some miraculously appears who then says, "let me get someone to help you". I guess I won the Home Depot lottery that day. I was honestly shocked. My response to the person "I'm good", which was not true but I was mostly shocked. When I finally figured out and could put into words my question...I turned around and one of the people who asked if they could help me...was there to help and answered my question! I got what I need, paid via self service checkout and left! The best Home Depot experience of my lifetime From my experience this is not common! Had to write a Yelp...to encourage people (to write Yelps) if they've had the same experience and to support this (unique?) store.

Delivery service is awful. I had a range to be delivered to me on January 3 and then again on January 5 because they change the delivery for January3 to January 31 and then I so I rescheduled and then I had January 5 and then they reschedule that one until February 1 after I paid them all my money and they told me that it was gonna be delivered on those previous dates and they didn't do it. I will never ever go to Home Depot again for anything that is considered to be deliverable because of their shoddy delivery business. So they said the range was on back order. Well if that was the case why did they sell it to me and tell me it was going to be delivered and then change at the last minute (the day before )?

Tidy and organized. Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of Christmas things! Come explore. First time at this location. Who knew that on Saturday at 9 pm it'd be so busy here? I guess HD is like a candy store for some. Not me. I visit a HD once every 2 years or so lol!

Yikes... NEEDS major customer service training Management needs too fix. Asked front to desk to call for help to get wood cut at the saw station. 10 Minutes later no one came so we went back to the front to ask again. This time we actually did hear then speak overhead. We waited another 10 mins and no one came. So went back up and said no one came so they called again on the overhead audio system. Can you believe no one came a 3rd time. So 4th time I asked them to call the manager and finally some one came 5 mins later. So we waited 35 mins just for someone to come. We even asked passerby Home Depot employees if they can help and they said no. They said we have to go ask up front .

I have shopped at this Home Depot for years. I have bought 4 or 5 large appliances here over the years. No more. I went again last night to ask about how to level the doors of a $3,200 refrigerator that HD sold me and delivered to my residence. Unfortunately, the delivery crew didn't know how to level the doors. Only off about 3/8 of an inch but annoying. I went to HD last night, November 2nd at 6:30 pm. Mr. Helpful was working in the appliance department. I asked him how I could level the doors and he told me to call the manufacturer. I looked at him kinda puzzled then I remembered this was the same associate that I asked a question about a dryer, 6 months ago. He told me then too, to contact the manufacturer. If you are going to buy large appliances at HD, avoid going in the evenings on Thursday nights. Mr. Helpful seems to work Thursday nights. For me my next purchase of a large appliance will be from Lowes.......

I still remember accompanying my grandpa to The Home Depot almost every weekend as a kid. I guess I got my love for tools from him. This chain is huge, affordable, and has the most locations, with at least 2 stores per city, along with the most helpful online site. Both the site, and app will show you what aisle and what section in the aisle, to find everything that you do a search for. And it will be specific to the closest store, if you allow for your location to be used. Or you can ask one of the many helpful employees, who all know where to find everything. And they do, have everything.

Good grief it's a slow rainy day and they couldn't get the online order processed in an hour. It's feasible- the irvine location is able to do it successfully every time. Now I'm just running late to my appointment thanks to standing here another 10 minutes for someone to process the 1 item order that weights a few ounces

Wow if I knew having a boyfriend would be so handy, I might have gotten one sooner. I came to Home Depot with my boyfriend since there were some updates he suggested and volunteered to do around my place. Just for the record, I did not force him to do the work, he insisted. Home Depot has all the major appliances and variations for home upgrades. I feel like compared to Lowes, Home Depot is more affordable, but Lowes is nicer. We just went to each section and he would ask me what I liked or wanted... and I would just look at it like, they all look the same. I might have a few parameters to narrow it down and he would help me pick. Nice experiment of our joint decision making process. What surprised me upon check out is that they just had self check out. I actually wanted to ring up with a cashier to ask them something, but staff here was not as engaging as other Home Depots I have been to. One Pro Tip I learned from the boyfriend is that Home Depot has recycling areas. For instance it was handy that we took out my old light bulbs to go find replacements, and then recycle the old ones while we were already there. The recycling area for this location is a bit hidden but it's behind the customer service area. In general I find that I prefer to go to Lowes. It's cleaner, friendlier service and my allergies don't activate as badly. It's just a nicer customer experience for me. But I guess if I need to save money I can send my boyfriend to Home Depot for me. Just kidding.
