Ray and Jane are awesome I have known them since about 1989 and I highly recommend their shop and I definitely recommend raise auto harps in Janes violins All of the instruments without question as far as I am concerned are the best you can get anywhere

Really great shop! Dustin, the owner, is really fantastic and so helpful. The shop is small but very quaint and personal. You truly can trust him for all your string playing needs.

Grace Music and Violin shop is fantastic! I went there first for a cello after having visited all of the available cello/violin shops in Orange County, and they had the best selection. Amazing service and really beautiful instruments here--I cannot recommend it enough. They were so patient with me and they know literally everthing about violins and cellos. I loved it so much that I came back a month later to upgrade my violin! I was given a bunch of beautiful violins to try out and I was able to exchange my old violin, plus was given a bow and really good quality rosin. They have a full range of violins and cellos depending on your price range and will work with whatever your budget is to get you the best instrument possible. Love this spot!

I love Grace Music & Violin Shop on Sunset! Both the regular store and the drum store. I love the selection of percussion. The service is always outstanding. It's my go to place

Friendly, professional and zero pressure. Big thumbs up. I went directly there to buy my daughter's keyboard after reading the spotty feedback on Grace Music & Violin Shop across the street.

I needed some fine tuners for my cello a couple of months ago and I was hesitant to buy them online so I did some "shopping" around with no luck until I called this shop. Grace was very helpful over the phone and I found some at the same price as ones I saw online. I am grateful for the help and level of service provided, I didn't look around too much but there was a variety of string instruments and cases around the shop for any else you might need.

This place is very debatable--the service is decent from the beginning, but it just seems like the staff just wants to get the payment over with. I wasn't able to view their variety of accessories for my instrument due to how complacent they were with how they were settling.

I came here to check out some shoulder rests since the one I had had its padding worn down, which required me to press down more onto my viola, straining my neck. I wanted to actually try a variety on since my private instructor clearly stated that I should truly see whether it's comfortable for me. The lady here brought one out for me since "it's just too much time when people look through different shoulder rests" and constantly kept insisting that I should just buy it if it's even a tiny bit better than my current one since "everyone has this problem" and that if I didn't like it when I bought it already, I should simply buy a new one. But isn't that the reason why I'm there in the first place? I'm buying a shoulder rest that's right for me since my current one was wearing down. It wasn't like it was a busy time either since it was just me and my dad, so I'm sorry, but I can't understand why it was so hard to help except for the act of laziness. After driving this far, I felt worse since this was such a waste of time. Fortunately, there was another music store nearby, Tustin Music Center. I know that I'm not writing a review for them (yet) but I just want to say that if you're thinking of which music store to go to, I'd go to that one first since the guy there was so pleased and patient to let me try on their shoulder rests.

I am writing about my wonderful experience at Grace Music. I was hoping that after several years of playing on a decent student violin I might try to see if I could sound better on a more advanced instrument. Jane Choi worked with me patiently over a two-hour period to help me choose. I found one violin that seemed that it might work for me - definitely an improved sound. Then Jane brought in two more violins she thought might work. One of them was The One, beautiful and richly resonant, and proof that you can indeed sound better on a better instrument even if you are a pretty mediocre player! It may seem odd to say but this violin compels you work harder and more carefully, otherwise it won't sing for you. Jane also thought a different bow might work, and she was right. So I left the store with a new violin and bow. I can't describe what a joy it is to play on this violin every day without becoming unsuitably emotional in a Yelp review. Thank you Jane and Grace Music!
