Walked in here around noon on a Wednesday and the branch wasn't too busy. I received help from Cole, Lily, and Rigo (Rico?). They were all very welcoming, prompt, nice and helpful.

Worse customer services that I ever experienced at any bank. I paid a safe deposit annual charges by mistake (all prior year the charges were waived due to the high balance I maintained at the Citibank). In 2023 they started sending me a bill due to the change in their policy without informing me of the change. I went to the branch paying the bill and after paying it, I realized that I should not be billed for the annual charge. I went to the branch asking the manager to issue a credit for the payment I made in error. The branch manager indicated that he cannot issue the credit because I initiated the payment and not the bank (worse excuse I ever heard of) I told him one of the banker at his branch previously told me that he can dispute the charge on my behalf. After hearing that, the manager said that he will dispute the charge for me and let me know. From the way he said it I'm pretty sure that he would not do it. The bottom line is I'm being penalized for the changes they made in their policies without informing their customers? Horrible, horrible bank

Beware Investment Advisors at Citi. Last Dec 2021, citi branch setup my mom to get investment advise. Advisor Anna persuade my mom to invest all her svgs into a Franklin municipal bond fund. Less than 1 mos, the fund dropped over $5k, and by 5th mos, it dropped $16k more than 11%. Noted my mom is 81 yrs old, do not speak English, and has NO grammar school, not any investment background. I filed a compliant to Citi investigation team. What it came back was she was in suitable investment because her tolerance level is "moderate", and investment knowledge is "moderate". How on earth does a 81 yrs old widow evaluated as "moderate" risk + experienced investor? Then I find out the decision of "suitable fit" was based on "new acct form" she signed. Anna asked my mom signed an open account form (in English), computer-typed by her, ck box "moderate" investment exp, and moderate risk. So my mom never knew what she signed, but was told in chinese that it was an open account form.I was present, and I did asked "shouldn't we wait until next year because Fed is increasing rate, and wouldn't this bond fund goes down?" Anna replied, she followed this fund over 20yrs, and it is very safe and will go back up eventually if it goes down one year. So far, my mom has lost $16,000 over 11% in this fund within 6 mos. And I later find out citi advisors receives commission from clients and being year-end, advisors must be desperate to meet quotas. Also, Please be aware there is no such thing as "Compliant dept" because there is no person's name who email you nor contact phone no. (Only they can talk justify they're right, but you can never talk to anyone! ) When you call and file a compliant, they take your compliant and after 1-mo reply your email with some ridiculous excuses that your investment is right fit, it is just your bad luck investing on the market. BE AWARE OF THE AGENT, "ANNA L"She service Arcadia, Irvine, SG valley. I had to trace her 3 branches to find her#.

Well I am at it again, ever since April my bank account has been compromised my account was locked and closed they actually lied and said the account was closed in April and yet they sent me a statement saying of July 7th that the account was closed 6/28/ 21. I have banked with Citibank for 12 to 13 years someone compromised my account had been making deposits in my account without my knowledge in the savings and checking. I don't know how this happened. I'm a 68 year old woman I had my social security in there that's all I had someone had been dipping and dabbing out of my account without my knowledge. I have called Citibank every day since April and since they had given me a letter saying that my account closed on 6/28 of this year. I have been trying to get my Social Security check out of my checking account that's all I had in there . These crooks they had put some type of deposit in my savings account without my knowledge and I had only $5.08. Without my knowledge. I had no idea what was going on in my account and I lost my social security check from the month of April because the account was locked. It has been stuck in the account since April they wouldn't release it and still won't yet I do not know why. All I want is my Social Security check that has been stuck in there since April that I have not been able to get my money out. It is the worst bank in life the customer service is horrible they'll continuously say that they're going to send you a letter giving you a reason why they closed your account, but they never sent me a letter since April. Do not and I advise you do not bank with this Bank. I am still out on a limb and have no answers.

The banker Chris Yeung, NMLS#1622075, who had verbally assaulted and provoked me once I requested a fee wavier since as I explained at the branch that I could not maintain the minimum balance of $1500 while I was traveling to another country during Covi-19 2020 and seeking his understanding and assitance only once .However, Chris Yeung 's advice to me of avoiding the future service fee is that "you just need to get your account closed next time if you travel to another country and it's your own responsibility to alway maintain the balance which irritated me significantly. The person is definitely a racist, who was originally born in the US that deliberately discriminated other individuals who are specially new immigrants to US, mainly from east Asia and verbally abused his authority and professionalism as a personal banker at this specific branch. He even threatened me to let the security guy to kick me out if I could not stop complaining his service a a customer at the branch. I suggest any new-to-bank customer be aware of this guy and try not to visit this special branch that has few bankers some of whom might think they are the king of this branch bank and obtaining the service from Citibank branch at other locations.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. It has the absolute worst customer service on the planet. Part of the problem is that Citibank is such a large multinational bank that one department does not talk to the other department. If you go into the branch, all they can do is to call the same customer service numbers that you could call from home. Of course, the customer service numbers are either busy, refusing to pick up the phone, or not answering calls because they are operating on an east coast schedule. The personnel at the branch can only sit there and half-heartedly apologize. The management is even less responsive.

I have been a Citibank customer for over 40 years and visit this Tustin location because it is convenient for me. The building is always clean and tidy; the staff is friendly and really helpful; and there is plenty of up-close parking. The other thing that I like and respect about Citibank is that the company traces its roots all the way back to 1812. To me, that says alot about strong bank leadership and a secure balance sheet for the safety and security of your funds!

Came in to setup a business account and they said they had appointments setup all day and could not help me. Then I watched the same guy sit as his desk with nothing to do. They would not call other branches to help get me an appointment and several times tried to send me to the website. I was stuck trying to make calls to other banks and finally got with customer service on the phone after a half hour and ended up with a guy in New York who told me to go to the website. Just find another branch these people don't care.

I cannot in good conscience recommend Citibank Tustin located on Jamboree Road to anybody because of a very egregious incident that occurred on May 13, 2020. The branch manager, Blanca Prado, refused to give me the name and contact information for her supervisor because the conversation was going around and around in circles and treating me after being a 40 plus year customer as a 3rd Grader by speaking down to me in an arrogant condescending manner while raising her voice to speak over me! She would certainly appear to be a BIG LIABILITY for the Citibank Corporation in exercising extremely poor judgment and treatment of a Long Term Customer especially in light of the C-19 crisis! Instead of apologizing to me she defended her supervisor employee, Chris, when he stated there was "NO BRANCH MANAGER" inside the building." Magically, Blanca appeared a few minutes later after requesting to specifically to speak to the Branch Manager. Ms. Prado, how could you possibly defend Chris' actions and deceitful statements when he clearly fabricated this story and lied to me when he stated that there was NO Branch Manager inside the building? Why would you refuse to provide me with your supervisor's contact information so I could escalate my grievances appropriately? It's shameful that I would need to repeat my relatively simple transaction request 11 separate times to 3 different people because ALL 3 have very poor: Listening, Reasoning, English Comprehension skills and were more concerned with calling 3 security officers to surround me and tried unsuccessfully to intimidate me. Instead of listening carefully and focusing your attention on the issues at hand and completing the transaction in a professional, timely, orderly and courteous manner. Chris even had the shortsightedness and audacity when he threatened to call the Tustin Police and I told him clearly, "Chris, if you feel the need to call the cops, please don't hesitate to do so!" Why would you want to call the police to assist themselves in processing a relatively simple payment procedure? Even after I had to run across the parking lot to the Ralph's Grocery Store and returning with a Money Order to make my Credit Card payment. [PLEASE BE ADVISED, CITIBANK DOES NOT ACCEPT A "CASH" CREDIT CARD PAYMENT WITH A TELLER, NO EXCEPTIONS!]. Ms. Prado handed me a paper that contained the INCORRECT ACCOUNT NUMBER [I have 3 different credit cards]. On their 12th attempt, sheMs. Prado was finally was able to comprehend my request for the correct account which I wanted my payment applied to. She finally processed the payment while I was forced to wait outside the building after her refusal to allow me to enter the building, meanwhile being surrounded with 3 security officers watching my every movement. CONCLUSION ~ THIS IS AN UNACCEPTABLE WAY TO TREAT ANY CUSTOMER LIKE A CRIMINAL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THE STAFF SHOULD BE ORDERED BY CITI SENIOR MANAGEMENT TO IMMEDIATELY ENROLL IN SOME BASIC ENGLISH COMPREHENSION CLASSES, ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASSES AND SOME ONE-ON-ONE "COACHING" ON DEVELOPING SOME CRITICALLY NECESSARY LISTENING & CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!!! Gee wiz, I guess with C-19, this may be the "New Normal" here at the Citibank Tustin, CA location.

I needed to open accounts quickly to meet some complicated needs. Bankers were super fast and even showed me new options to save me some money. I am still shocked how fast and helpful they were. Amazing! Super happy. Looks forward to more of that.
