First of all, let me start off by saying...I am not sure who would give anyone a horrible rating on here for their customer service and product... I had an issue with my the new Vision Powersteps on my 24 Tundra Hybrid.. They were installed by a company in San Diego, which I thought was reputable and reliable in their installations... So after the steps not deploying like they should ( on any door opening, staying open after 1 of the 4 doors is shut, and yes, the dreaded LED bar issue ). I had contacted their engineer on this and he [Eric] was happy to help and go through all the steps to figure out how this is happening...first step was finding out the App had bugs, which was fixed in version IOS 1.7 ... it was not reading a door [right rear passenger] was open... that was fixed with the app update and firmware update to the control module[s]... it was fixed for the most part...but still I had to open the driver's door prior to any other door, making the steps deploy.. I knew I had to be wrong, but I let it go to wait for an answer.. Eric helped me every step of the way thru troubleshooting... then the LED bar went bad...that is when I was at a loss...he assured me that they would do what it took to fix this so others would not go thru this process or problem...he ordered me a new LED strip and came down from Orange County CA to my office in San Diego, CA personally to fix my steps...he is super knowledgeable, easy going, friendly, and most of all he fixed the issue! Now you are thinking what I was thinking... how was it so easy?!?! Well.....it was not anything to do with AMP Research or Real Truck....how is that you say? The pics will do it justice... this was "professionally" installed...but it was done incorrectly...the wires near the ODB2 sensor was tapped into the wrong white wire one, two they somehow cut the line that the line for the LED bar was on and tried to fix it cheaply by wrapping it in electrical tape! Really?! Yes! I was in shock, embarrassed, and felt stupid that I made a big deal abiut the amount of money paid for this and the lack of durability on their end...egg on my face....Eric fixed the problem in less than hours time..and even went thru thr whole install to double check everything and even make sure it worked after he left..this morning...without even a beat missing, the steps deployed as intended, the lights worked properly, and everything is great! Their customers do come first! I am a firm believer in this company and standing behind their products. Should you have any issues like I did with mine, my guess is reaching out to talk to them and explaining how you read my review.... maybe the solution is just as easy.. thank you again!
REMEMBER, sometimes it is not the company...it could be the way their product was installed......
Great job, Real Truck! Your employees and owners stand behind their products they sell.

Stay away from buying AMP research step boards. I have been waiting for 4 weeks to get a LED strip light replacement with no update. Spent 2k dollars for these steps in which they failed within 2 months. As of today I am still waiting for my part which is a joke. I would strongly encourage everyone to shop somewhere else and save your hard earned money or buy something of better quality. I will no longer be purchasing AMP Research products ever again as the quality control doesn't exist anymore and the warranty service sucks! Hopefully Santa will bring me my replacement part. At this point I'll probably rip out the steps and just share this feedback with family and friends since RealTruck hasn't really done anything about my warranty claim. See the attached photo of what 2k dollars gets you SMH! They should change the company name to Real*uck at this point because that the situation I'm in.

DO NOT BUY THESE JUNKY STEPS! Purchased a set of steps for a 2022 Chevy 2500 part # 7625401A. 2 years in an idler linkage breaks, No parts available. What good is a warranty if there are no parts available. These boards are still in production, they have parts for new customers but say it will take 4 months to get a warranty part. Non existent customer service, it takes hours to get anyone on the phone. Don't even fall for the trick of leaving a number for a call back. You will never get the call back.

I sent them photos of the steps that they sent me not fitting together. I contacted customer service that sent me to tech support. I sketched up what the problem is and haven't heard back since last week. The bracket won't fit into the running board. Next step is BBB complaint.

Long hold times and need help on an BedStep that relies on one screw installation - swivel dangerously as use loosens it. Also brackets were a pain to install since you have to assemble and torque while it’s under the bumper.

They just don't work, customer service is non existent. I am removing them from my truck tomorrow. I can’t deal with maybe they will work? Maybe not. Good luck crawling into your truck with 6” lift and 37” tires. Just get regular steps. Trust me…

Worst steps ever made, paid $1500 for this steps for my 2018 Tacoma and less than 8 months driver side steps makes loud noise wen moving up, now step does not go up at all. I’ve tried calling amp research for warranty and the number I call is for real trucks website and those people are just horrible in customer service, they never answer the phone and the time they did they beat around the bush saying they are short on staff. Save your money and don’t buy this steps. Company is garbage.

3 out of 4 cast aluminum hinges have cracked.....yes I am a 400lb man..... the step is rated at 600lbs according to the manufacturer....clearly there is a weakness in the materials.....they are replacing 2 of them which is fine.....however the third one they say the rocker is corroded and that's the cause for the break and won't be covered.....so.....explain the other two hinges that broke!!.....zero corrosion visible....they aren't very helpful if you call customer service....as a matter of fact....they're rude....I bought these against my better judgment.....I have a set of rough country boards and they are much better designed than these weak hinges!....Felix Del valle

I have just installed the second set of Power Steps on my new truck. I have owned AMP steps since 2018 and have yet to experience a failure or issue. I did damage a wire splice connection and called them to ask for a replacement. It was shipped that day and on my door step within 48 hours. I am a big fan of this Company. Their product is awesome and their support after the fact has proven to be just as good.

Charge more than any company on the market for running boards and cant be troubled to make a proper installation guide. Products are so ill fitting they cant even include actual pictures in the diagrams. Computer generated images are the only way your products look correct. Shame 0 starts isnt an option
