Won’t be buying RedWings again. I’ve had my super sole 2.0($300) for barley over a year now so redwing won’t replace them even though it has a manufacturing defect. My left boot is flawless but on the INSIDE of my right boot, the leather protecting my toes from the steal toe cap is ripped and is now scraping against my foot. I’ve had this issue since the 8 month that I’ve had the boot but reported the issue recently so now it’s to late. Mind you I don’t abuse the boots, I’m just an electrician so the boots get a very light amount of damage on them per day. Can’t imagine how fast they would tear up on people working more intensive trades such as welders or concrete workers. Thorogood seams to have all the hype for half the price, may be giving them a try now.

Red Wing boots are the only boot I know of that are actually made for the job. Sadly they don't make the boots I've bought previously anymore but I'm hoping to have the same luck with the newer model. I had my first pair six years, and my second almost eight years. I work in a machine shop. It's a tough environment for boots. The Turlock store is where I do my business. Nice folks. Helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them.
