Awful pet store. Employees try to show unsolicited advice down customers throats. They have a rude associate by the name is Alyssa who is just awful and rude. Everyone should just drive down the street to pet supplies plus. Super nice people.

I have nothing but great experiences every time I go to petco! I am always greeted, always offered help, and everyone is very friendly. I have been using petco grooming for almost 3 years now and it has never been anything but pleasant. Sam is my go-to. She is absolutely amazing and she is thorough with my dog, plus I see that she treats my fur baby the way I treat her and I feel comfortable and confident when I leave. There is great communication from the store reminding me about my appointments and when my dog is ready to be picked up I get a personal call. Recently my go-to groomer (Sam) was out when I wanted my dog groomed and I went with another groomer, Ray. He was very friendly, and very professional. I knew right away I could trust him with my dog just the way I trust Sam. He did a great job! I am so thankful to petco and their grooming team for taking care of my baby girl!!

Turlock branch canceled my dog grooming appointment because I was 7 minutes late, is this your policy? Mind you part of that 7 minutes was a couple minutes of them staring at me through the glass and talking back and forth seemingly deciding who was going to come out and talk to me... the body language was obvious they did not want to do their jobs, what's worst is that they all had dogs on their tables so it's not as if they were going to attend to Indiana as soon as we arrived they were going to kennel him until a table freed up. anyway just wanted to know your policy on this. Oh I also called ahead 3 times to see if this was going to be a problem because I have a 30 min commute to this location, they didn't answer, I did leave a message. Go somewhere else for grooming. Ps, after posting to my instagram about this I had no shortage of friends and family dm'ing me about the unprofessionalism of this location. (The girl that attended to me was a young skinny girl with a bunch of piercings in her face)

Shocked by my experience, went in to browse and buy a few beta fish (2, and I know you can't combine them) but shocked when I asked for a glass fish bowl, they said they will not sell me fish if I don't have proof of proper filtration and heated system because I inquired about the glass bowl they refused to sell me the fish. I have no intentions to hurt her fish but shocked, I called and spoke to the general manager to confirm this and he shared that if I don't show proof of proper fish to water ratio along with filtered and heated water then they will not sell me the fish. This is all so shocking also because their beta selections are in plastic tubs, that don't appear to be the fish to water ratio they required and I didn't see any filtration system...... thank goodness for alternative pet stores in town!

When I decide on a particular compant to spend my hard earned money on their products the last thing I need is a lecture on my reasons. If I desire a dissertation on the morality of pet acquisition I will speak to my congressman thank you very much. You sell. I buy. No opinions or comments necessary. If I need advice I will ask for it.

This terrible place to buy pets they sold us sick bird they won't even take it back or exchange when I called they told me there were made me drive 40 mins away to be lied to if I were you I wouldn't buy any birds from them

I have used Petco for the last two years and prefer to have Mckenzie groom my dogs. McKenzie greets us each time with a care and compassion. From the moment I drop off my dogs, I know they are in good hands. Mckenzie listens to how I prefer my dogs to be groomed and when I pick up my dogs they look exactly how I wanted them to look. Thank you McKenzie for caring for my pets!

Check in easy. Mallory is awesome! My yorkie always looks amazing when I pick her up. This is the only place I will use.

Worst customer service. Didnt let me purchase 5 $0.49 cent goldfish because they said goldfish need a minimum 10 gallons per 50 cent fish. They are ridiculous if they think im buying a 50 gallon tank for 5 .50 cent goldfish. Employee said they are the "voice of the fish." Meanwhile, their tanks are littered with dead fish. Guess not those fish.

On 3/29 I dropped off my puppy at 8 am for his hair cut. I wasn't asked how I would like his hair cut to look. I was only told that because it was his first time that they were going to attempt to trim him. I received a text at 9:30 stating that they were unable to give him a full hair cut but they did their best because he was too nervous. The groomers had only bathed him and did a "face, feet and fanny trim which was considered an "add on" per the invoice. When I initially booked my appointment the services total was quoted at $57 for bath and hair cut. When I picked up my puppy I was asked if I wanted to give a "tip" prior to even seeing my dog and I was charged $47.99 for just a bath and face, feet, fanny trim. There was absolutely no attempt to even trim his body but they were able to put a razor between his eyes, feet, and rear (which by the way has him now dragging his butt on my floor due to it being irritated). My dog looked absolutely ridiculous when I got him. I ended up trimming him myself when I got home and the most frustrating part of all of this is that he showed no signs of nervousness at all and allowed me to trim him. I have worked in the veterinarian / grooming field so I have a general idea of what to expect. In this case there was absolutely no attempt to even try. Not for the benefit of the client or the animal.

Terrible customer service. Called the store to ask a few questions and the representative was extremely rude. Petco customer service isn't any better. Just all around an extremely bad experience.

If you see Olivia then you know you're in good hands, everyone there is super nice but Olivia is why I will keep coming back! She is super knowledgeable on different animals and she knows a lot about the products that they sell, she isn't one of the "just get this and you will be fine" people, she is one who helps you get exactly what you need and gives you great information about it as well. This girl deserves a raise because of how knowledgeable she is and how well she connects with not just me but everyone else who walks in. Give Olivia a raise and make sure she knows we all love and appreciate her working late hours when I forget about my crickets until I get off work haha!!!!!!!!
