2 weeks ago I found a critically injured kitten in my garage. When I found him I discovered the bone was exposed on his right arm. And the arm was also dead and infected. I didn’t think the little guy would make it through the night, but he pulled through and I took him to Dr. Cassidey to be taken care of. The kitten was in rough condition. But Dr. Cassidey took amazing care of him and gave him a second chance at life. Sunny ended up getting his arm amputated. Dr. did an exceptional job with the surgery and treated him with love and respect. I took Sunny in today to get his stitches removed. The staff here has made this journey very easy and have shown little Sunny so much love and care. I do not trust a lot of vet offices but Monte Vista is at the top of the list for veterinary’s I will take my pets to.

I want to thank Dr. Lee for being so supportive and comforting during one of the hardest moments of my life. My baby girl “Khloe” gained her angel wings 06/20/24. Dr. Lee walked me thru the whole process with such a kind and gentle reassurance. The whole staff was so kind and understanding. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart!! You’re all amazing!!

After 9 years of being a client here with all my pets, my father and I were disrespected by dr Snable and the Manager during our check up visit for my dogs surgery that Snable did back in June Excuse my typos and erros, for we are disappointed at the managers behavior. Wish i had recorded her to post for you all to see. It's a long one, but I'll cut it short. My father and I arrived and we checked in. SNABLE came out and told us its nothing and he told us to clean it daily, if your dog licks and licks hell lose his leg or ill have to put him down. Striaght to the point and in my face, like relax dont need to be heartless and be forward and passive. He walked in to tell the girls to bring me the paper so I can leave and purchase at target. We waited outside in the heat for over an hour just for the front desk to give us the name of the over the counter medicine. By the way to be real, I had told them I won't pay for the visit bc I left there in June paying 3k for dental and surgery so I wanted them to just look and give me something to clean it. Snable recommended for me to continue the use of the cone for another 3 weeks and use this cleansing solution. He walked inside and then 30 min later, young teen girl came out saying you can leave now, youre done we're not charging. I said to her I'm sorry but I'm not going to leave, i know youre not charging im aware, i told you guys i wont pay for a quick look. I'm waiting on that piece of paper for over an hour, get it for me and I'll go. Again, 45 min passed by, and she came again saying you could leave, I finally had it and I told her listen I'm not going to go. I told you earlier I'm waiting for that 1 piece of paper, how many times I need to repeat myself to you guys, are you guys not on the same page? My dad is a copd patient, and he couldn't take the heat, so I told her to please be on the same page as everyone and communicate with your team. She walks inside crying, telling her mom I yelled at her. Snable and the Manager walk out yelling at me and my father. The manager was shaking that she couldn't control herself. Her tone was so off and rude and she screamed in front of my dad, customers to the right and customers from DMV to the left all saw the scene. Snable used the F word. Almost slipped his mouth. He said your account is **** but right away he fixed it to flagged but Fu came out, what a shame Snable. I hope he is reading this, actually. Because now i see why so many other negative reviews , also I heard from people that the staff here are rude. And I had the impression that everyone was real and ethical here and not for the money. I was totally wrong. However, I do love dr Lee and Summer, I always respected them and they were respectful as well. Anyways, later I found out the employee who came outside is the managers daughter. I really don't care who she was. If it was someone else, I bet they wouldn't overreacted. The customer from DMV was shocked at their behavior. The lady sitting by the tree said wow this is so unprofessional. Couldn't they take you inside a room and speak to you? They had to create drama here outside in front of people...she shook her head. They pointed fingers at us outside in public, and told us we can't go back after spending over 25k on a few pets here within years. 0 customer service. The managers behavior says it all and said it all. People did tell me this, but I didn't want to believe it. That is why some of their employees left and are now working elsewhere. Dont waste your time and money here. Find a place that cares for your pet and respects you and listens to you also and not pick just an employees side who happened to be her daughter. If the daughter cried to me saying no thanks I'm not leaving, imagine how many more times she'll cry to other people being angry, looks like you guys have to let go of alot of customers because of employees crying.

Being a customer here since 2008, today I had to make this public. My dog had a surgery and a dental clean done here back last month which cost me 2k. I've been kind to everyone. Summer always assists and someone who also QUIT here knows me well. Dr lee has always been helpful and I have been respectful never problems. Yesterday i noticed my dogs surgery site was red, so i called to take him in for Snable to check it. 9 am we got there & he advised for me to clean it , put ointment & cone again until heals. 1. 20 hour passed and my elderly father was getting LOW blood pressure in the heat, so he told me to ask when they will come out to simply just give us 1 piece of paper that says what i need to buy from target to clean the area. After waiting for so long, 2 diff employees came out saying you're good to go. There is no charge for today. I said I know, but I'm waiting for the paper and a prescription. Again, 20 min later a teenage girl, don't have a name, came said please leave you're done, I said Mam, listen, I'm not leaving how many times will you guys tell me leave?????I'm waiting for that paper with the name of the medicine and a prescription from the pharmacy, why are you guys keep telling me to leave. As if they were not on same page and didn't know I had stuff to take home, i got agitated since i had to repeat. Next thing I know the Dr and office manager came out yelling at me In front of customers outside. My dad is 83 and they stressed him with their tone and screaming. The manager was shaking. Had 0 customer service skill. She said you yelled at my daughter. I told her I did not yell. I said I'm not leaving. I myself work with patients all day and we deal with lots of cases and scenarios, but we don't lose control to cry and shake. DR SNABLE USED F WORD, almost left his mouth, but he quickly fixed it to *flag. He said your account is ****but jumped to flag right away. My dad even heard it. They refused us to go back and they embarrassed us outside. "Female customer either from DMV or hsp standing outside said, omg that's how they handle customers? They could of simply took u in a room & talked with u, not throw the medicine in ur hand and walk away, that was unprofessional". Now I see why some of their employees left and are working Elsewhere. Also, now I realize why a friend and a neighbor of mine don't go back here. They have 0 skill to building a relationship with clients. I'm not talking about all staff. I'm talking about Snable and the Manager who happened to say that was her daughter who went inside and cried, because of my tone saying I'm not leaving??? I understand she's a young sensitive girl. She shouldn't cry because someone said they wont leave, & they are waiting for their paperwork. If she cried to this, imagine what other situations shell face that she cant handle
Don't waste your money here, they can be rude & not care for the $$$$$ you spent here throughout the years. Now I get the awful reviews on here. I always leave good reviews. I'm a local guide that leaves honest reviews. If they have proof/ cam recording that I gave the girl attitude, by LAW they must show me, my father, then I'll apologize. So, montevista, you did wrong. All your staff are working at other vets. Treat staff and customers humanley

Vets are not trained well . It's a corporation that just values $ . I had 1 dog misdiagnosed and died and a recent 2 nd dog . Misdiagnosed and she was 2 days away from dead . You have been warned

Horrible place, horrible people I don’t recommend coming here. The Front staff is rude. There main focus is money and not your pet. We had originally went to another vet but they as well didn’t do anything so we thought this place would be better, We were having an emergency. We had told them our dog was having seizure for a while and need her stomach pumped and need examinations. We came in the morning we told them that and they “wrote” it down and told us we had to wait till 3, so at 3 we came back with our dog. They took her and started giving her shots after shots without informing us what it was or without us signing anything. We went there cause we need her stomach pumped and an Examination but ended up leave 15 minutes later with no Examination and without her stomach being pumped. We payed around 600 dollars for them to not help us and our dog passed away. It’s honestly disgusting how they saw a dog in this much pain and hurting, and they saw us hurting, but all they cared about was the money.

Veterinarian Ryan Brenner is terrible. I’ve been coming to this veterinary for year and never had any issues. Today was a whole contrary. Not only did he get passive aggressive with his little princess attitude, he also misquoted. I have reason to believe this was done on purpose. The rest of the staff; great as always. Hate to have to leave a review but this had to be said publicly.

We've been going to this vet since they opened. We've also had several animals through the years. Today one of our cats had a bad bite on his chest. They got us in immediately. Even though his wounds required deep cleaning and medication, it only costs 350. Thank you! We will continue to take our animals to Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital.

My dog had been going here for 14 years. Something changed over the past few years ever since it sold. I took my dog in at the end of April for teeth extraction. Dr. Shawnacey Donahue tested her blood and said she had elevated kidney and liver levels and proceeded with the teeth extraction, which cost $1400. Three weeks later, I had to take my dog back in as she wasn't feeling or acting right. They did another blood panel for $400 which showed that her kidney and liver levels were extremely high and she had stage 4 renal disease and had days to live. Something that should have been identified three weeks earlier and not having to put my dog through the unnecessary surgery. What's worse, I left a message for a manger (Amber) on 5/28/24 and asked for a call back by the end of the day and she never called. The next day I asked for her manager Chastity and she wasn't available and I left her a message and asked for a call back by 5 PM and she never called. Then on Friday, an employee called and said Chastity was "busy in meetings" all day and she is going to call me when she has time, but still nothing. Next call is to the State Veterinary Medical Board, maybe that will get their attention.

Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital is where I take my cat for veterinary care, and have been satisfied with their veterinary services. So, this is where I decided to board him when the need arose. I was very disappointed with my cat's boarding. I did not see the boarding facility ahead of time, as they came out to the car to get my cat. On the day I went to get my cat to take him home, they were unable to get him into his carrier, so I was asked to go in and get him. What was described on their website as a "luxury boarding experience" was actually a stack of cages in a dark corner of a very small room that smelled badly. Once in the car, my cat peed all over the inside of his carrier and on the back seat of the car--he has never done this during the multiple times he has been in the car. He is normally very independent, but has now turned into a clingy cat since he was boarded. I called Monte Vista to voice my concerns (l left a voicemail message with a manager) and have not received a return phone call.
