~ Journal Entry, March 1st & the Year is 2024 @ 17:07 I apologize for the slowed-down rate of my reviews as of late... I've been supporting my mother who is undergoing "Radiation Therapy" out of Modesto & we live in Turlock that it now appears I am dealing with, Radiation Exposure & it's affected my stamina & has been giving me double-Migraine headaches on both sides of my eyes and head... After a nice long overdue nap, my head is giving me some relief as is the Nauseas that was unrelenting... Enough about that... I'm in process of uploading nearly 60 CURRENT Photographs that I took myself using my iPhone XR and the "Portrait Setting" which appears to be yielding a better quality photograph.... I've been a shopper & spender of my financial resources at this local store, located less than 2 miles from my residence since 2018; that is well OVER 6 Years of routine shopping here & this store has never LOOKED & BEHAVED SO BARREN... & so BIZZARE.... It's like everyone is "High" on some-type of "Mind Altering" substance & are laughing inappropriately, dressed haphazardly & aggressive & stand-offish... Not a mixture that is "Consumer-Orientated... It's become uncomfortable not only to shop here but to even drive by here as no one "Smiles" anymore UNLESS THEY are GOSSIPPING AMONGST each other WHILE CHECKING AND RINGING UP THE CONSUMERS GOODS/ITEMS.. It's completely UNPROFESSIONAL... & Unsettling that so much could have changed from what once was, a decent grocery store to spend your resources in. Now it's full of MOLD & MILDEW & although the isles are stocked pretty full THEIR PRICING HAS GONE COMPLETELY BESERK! Haywire also!!! It's as if, they are just haphazardly printing up and slapping "Price stickers" on products with out following their advertised "SALE PRICES" banner which I snapped a photograph of while there .... I think this store should be condemned from operating, the owners should experience the full-effect of the LAW as Yelp! is a vehicle of our Federal Government; as a "Consumer Watch Dog"... Lastly, I was approached by a man who appeared to be disgruntled by me calmly and unencumbered taking photographs of the inside of the store w/o interrupting any staff or any shoppers/consumers... He asked me "What are you Doing".... Repeatedly. My startled response was that "I am with Yelp!"; I said it at least once more as he wouldn't relent with his questioning. He was dressed in very expensive attire as if price was not an option. I told him that the pricing was excessive to which he turned around and then swung around again to face me saying nothing as I repeated the cost statement as he pretended as if he didn't see/hear me then he stomped off... Very alarming & AGGRESSIVE behavior... He should have been cited by someone for the sever MOLD & MILDEW waifing in the store then I smelt Marijuana & I am allergic to that poison... I don't know where it waifed from but it was noxious at the very least..,. & no explanation was given by any staff as I continued to cough inside the store after encountering that and the MILDEW growing all over the cracks & crevices of their prehistoric flooring... I can no longer recommend this store as a Yelp! follower nor as a person let alone a storefront shopper.. Mildew & Mold gets into our lungs and nasal passages by inhalation and by "passive means" as well... Then it GROWS & GROWS inside of ALL CREATURES Unless destroyed... Use their "back-room Bathrooms" and you'll be swallowed-whole & overwhelmed by the OVERPOWERING MILDEW & MOLD in the air .... I will no longer be shopping at this subpar store with OUT OF CONTROL PRICES BEING DEMANDED FOR GOODs..... to the customer Ashley B who posted that post about me how the store is not the same since I left and moved to Texas means so much to me everyone is messaging me on Facebook how mush they miss me how save mart on lander is quiet and not the same since I left I miss all my customers so much leaving was the hardest thing I ever done specially after being with the company for 31 awesome years!! thank you save mart for giving me 31 awesome years :(

Fried chicken oil is going rancid! Second time I got chicken it tasted like petroleum. Please change oil!

Save Mart on Lander Ave. has the largest selection of seafood in town. They are fresh and some are wild: the best! I have combed all the other markets and their selections are extremely small, not fresh and they are old in plastic wrapped containers. SM Lander has the best selection in town. They have an immense varieties from east coast to west coast. It depends on the time and the seasons. They have "farm" and "wild". The seafood are reasonably priced. They are mixed price. I drive across town for their fish. They have their own seafood counter. It is much larger than Raley's, Safeway's, etc. You can point and tell the clerk which fish you want. The services I have received, have been delightful. The seafood counter is located in the back of the store. It's the old fashioned counter where you talk to the clerk about the fish and he/she helps you. They weigh it and ask you if you want to delete or add to the amount on scale. If you enjoy cooking seafood in Turlock, this is the place to get your seafood. It's clean and you can view the variety behind the big glass wall.

Went to order a cake for my daughters birthday and the employee was rude and not wanting to be helpful at all. First I was standing there for a good 5 minutes because the employees were busy chatting and laughing with each other instead of acknowledging the customer standing at the counter. Finally she comes over with instant attitude asking what I wanted. When I chose the cake her response was that they didn't have it that I was better off just getting an imagine instead of a birthday kit because they were out of a lot of kits. Mind you that's fine, Atleast tell me which kits are available instead on not looking AT ALL. the stores customer service has definitely went down since their best worker Fernanda left. It's sad to say but do better save mart. Care about your customers. They choose to shop there. Instead, I took my business to raleys and they were happy to help with exactly what I needed

If we all could do one zero stars We would I just came out of there mind you ,I'm 23 about to be 24 in this probably 19-year-old,just help me but gave me no communication . no hi, no how's your day (nothing)!! Literally practically says nothing to me yet still making me feel so unwanted, just so un-welcomed and so awkward ....literally like why is she there. I'm never ever going back.

This store is full on with sanitizing and giving you the best experience they can. I've never had anything bad in the meat department. I used to get thresher shark here many times. Now, I don't know. The butcher says the fish isn't coming in like it used to. I'll keep asking for it until it comes in !

Bakery has some snobby employees! Store manager is on their level as well smh. If I could do zero stars for their customer service I would. Definitely will not be returning.

Honestly i eanted to give another shot but the bakery /deli the deli side needs so much improvement stood their for 15 mins before anyone took my order while the guys sees me standing their just keeps printing stickers on machine then when asked what we wabted got so much attitude then when we went to eat our food the meat was spoiled n bread was harder then a rock smh raileys is so much better

Great group of people. Checkers are very friendly everybody is exceptionally nice and go out of their way to help you out.fish department needs a little help the guy that seems to be in charge never seems to be able to give me an answer on anyting but the meat department makes up for it.

I just moved to Turlock from San Leandro, CA little over a year ago. Having lived in SL most of my life I was feeling out of place and not sure if I was going to like the change. Right from the beginning the staff and manager have been nothing but helpful, friendly and kind. I usually have my brother and my 83 year old mother with me and they will get a chair for her to sit on while she is waiting for me at the checkout line. When I'm there alone they always ask me how is my mother and brother doing. They are quick to help me unload my basket at the checkout counter and they help me get my groceries into the car. It is a small- to medium-sized store and for the size of the store they have a wide selection of a variety of items. The meat and produce depts. are kept stocked and the whole store is very tidy and clean. I can usually find everything I need. The employees' friendly and helpful attitude was a major influence in changing my unsure feelings about moving to Turlock and I am now very happy that we did.

Typical store, over priced with mediocre quality groceries. They recently remodeled the inside so still trying to figure out where some items are located. Customer service is hit and miss, although more misses and hits. Some of the cashiers don't seem to either enjoy their life, job, or both. No smile, a rare "hello". Only reason I keep coming here is due to the fact that it's the closest location to me.

I love this store. I sometimes drive out of my way here because of the service I receive here consistently. One experience I had, I was checking out and could not find my bank card. My daughter had a TY stuffed animal she really wanted. The bagger took his own money and bought it for her. Another time, I was waiting in line and the store manager saw my girls and asked if they could have a cookie. He went an fetched a freshly baked cookie for both. It may be more pricey than other grocers but, to me, it's worth the little extra cost for the wonderful service.
