Found lots of baby clothes. The shoes and houseware sections were very minimal compared to other thrift stores.

Dwindling merchandise (Golden State store), empty shelvesand extremely high prices for donated items. No longer is there bathroom or dressing room access and the store on Tegner refuses to replace a mirror that was broken so you could at least try on clothes outside of the dressing room. Final straw, NO BOOKS, Goodwill is now selling them by the pound to a third party. I will not donate to Goodwill.

I've been in our local Goodwill (Golden State/Turlock) 4xs over the last 3 weeks. I've never liked shopping for clothing there because they don't sort by size, making it a longer process. I did find a few blouses I wanted to try on 2 weeks ago. I was told they no longer allow dressing rooms to be used. I looked around, not one mirror in the entire store. I left the blouses on the rack. Next visit I heard the checker tell my friend that they have a new return policy which allows you to return and exchange your item within 6 days. Ok, I'll try that! Made a purchase and returned 2 items the next day. I also bought 4 more items. I came back on the 6th day to return and exchange 2. I was told I was a day late. The return must be within 5 days. I explained I was told 6 and described the checker. Nope, can't do it! - from the assistant manager. There is no policy posting and nothing appears on the receipt. I told her she needed to honor what her employee stated since there is nothing written to counter it. She would not! She said "We started last month (Jan '24) and everybody known it's 5 days". I told her that response was completely unacceptable and that she was making just too hard to continue to shop there. She couldn't care less! I don't have enough disposable income or time to waste shopping at Goodwill.

Where Did The Books Go?? Was Told They Now Sell Them All To A Dealer. For Many This Was The Only Place To Buy Books (Especially Children's Books) At A Reasonable Price. Isn't This What " Goodwill" Is Supposed To Be All About?

The staff here deserve five stars, as they are super friendly and helpful. Decent selection of clothing, but not much other than that.I'm glad that Turlock has a Goodwill, but the one in Modesto is better.

More than annoyed. We called ahead last week to see when their student discount day was. We were told it was Thursday so we planned our trip on this day. When we went to pay, the man asked if we had any students or teachers. I replied, “yes!” He said I need your student or teacher IDs. I informed him we were homeschool, to which he replied then he couldn’t give us the discount. What?!? Why not? Because my 14, 12, 9, and 4 year old don’t look like students. He replied it had to be a unified School District ID. I shut my mouth as hard as I could because nothing good was going to come out of it and I’m taking my frustrations out here. How in the world does that make sense? Why? What would be the purpose of denying homeschool students the “student discount” because they don’t have school IDs. Extreme disappointment and frustration doesn’t even begin to cover what I’m feeling. Do better Goodwill, do better!!!!

I went in today on Monday, July 31st, 2023 and the racks in the men's section and it was half empty. Not sure if it's because of the lack of donations or they didn't have time to bring more articles of clothing out. Whatever the case may be I also saw a group of 3 young men that were at this thift store go to the other Goodwill in town. I'm guessing they couldn't find much either.

There's usually a lot of stuff in the store but the prices have gone up too much. Other thrift stores have raised their prices but Goodwill seems to have raised their prices significantly more.

I don't understand the system on what's going on on all Goodwills. The prices are getting ridiculous and it seems that the stores up the prices to whatever they want. All I know is that good people donate their USED, goods to HELP those that are less fortunate, I don't think that the good people who donate would appreciate the way this business is going and getting over on the less fortunate.I've donated countless number of times and I don't appreciate it at all. Especially during these hard times.Coming from a person who used to need from these establishments and now able to and have donated back it saddens me the way it has gone.If I could put no stars I would.

I really like going to shop here however the workers here only care about the money and nothing else they always have a attitude with the customers for no reason and get annoyed whenever a customer asks a simple question.

I don't understand how in these difficult times Goodwill can expect you to pay close to $8.00 for dresses and pants, and then keep their fitting rooms locked?.No return policies also? So, if the item doesn't fit...we can donate it to Goodwill? E.With every other clothing store having open open dressing rooms..I don't get it.
