Awful! This is my second time writing this. I suppose the Foodmax Corporate Office doesn't like hearing constructive criticism. Perhaps the suits in the office should work and experience a Fri night and the weekends. Corporate the store manager for Turlocks Foodmax, need to get a reality check or some crash courses on understanding how many more employees should be on schedule Fri. Thru Sunday. I bet your sales will go up. Give it a try. Your way, isn't working.

I visited just now. Unfortunately as I was walking out a paying Customer I was jolted into my cart because of a sensor. This sensor stopped my cart in the middle of the exit and thwarted me into my cart. It's sad that this is how it is because of the retail thefts in our cities. I get injured walking out a paying customer to prevent theft. I'm absolutely appalled.

First let me say a little about how I feel about our local stores/ grocery stores in general. I believe in supporting our local stores in order to keep them open.I have shopped at food Maxx for a few years now. Every time I go in there's one cashier and plenty of people waiting. However I am pretty patient so I wait around, plus I know that they will for the most part send another cashier to help out which is understandable. I've worked retail/grocery stores, therefore I know that having cashiers stand around wastes a lot of payroll. I've explained this so people know I'm NOT a Karen. With that being said, here is why I won't be shopping at food Maxx after today. I went in and grabbed all my groceries, most of my items were fresh fruits and veggies, milk, eggs, etc, etc. Once I got to the front to pay for my stuff, I noticed that only one register had the light turned on, so I headed there. The cashier was saying something to me but with a lot more people trying to find a register to pay for their groceries I couldn't hear what she was saying. She kept getting louder and closer to me saying CAN YOU READ THE SIGN? I was confused and yes I had totally missed the sign that stated "express check out". She then came all the way to the end of the counter and said it again"DID YOU READ THE SIGN"? as she called the person who had less items than I did. I then walked to the next cashier who had the light off, it seemed to be closed but he was finishing up an order. I asked the gentleman if he was open? He rudely replied "NO". There was more people trying to pay for their stuff but after no one even attempted to get a manager or a cashier, and seen how the two cashiers that were there were doing their very best to embarrass people who are only trying to keep them employed...I want nothing to do with this place! I will find another grocery store as there's plenty around here meanwhile, food Maxx should either hire people who are customer service friendly or just get self checkout and don't bother wasting their money on people who have absolutely NO customer service skills. Also: sorry that now you had to deal with a full basket of go backs because I simply walked out. I don't appreciate dealing with rude employees. And yes... I know that plenty of people will still shop there so you DO NOT need my business but I'm still going to raise my opinion and share it with the rest.

I hate that they keep changing things around. Now it doesn't even make sense how they have things placed. I'll continue shopping there but it's getting harder. I'm disabled and hate having to go back and forth looking for what I need. I couldn't find any employees to help me get something off top shelf so I didn't buy any.

Everytime I come here I end up waiting in line for at least 15-20 minutes. They have plenty of employees and only open 2 check out stands at a time. They are always busy , you would think that they would get the hint that they need to have more stands open

Store is always clean. Plenty of parking, including handicap. Restrooms are acceptable at best. They offer some great deals. Produce department could be better. My 1 complaint is the lack of checkers. The lines can get gnarly and usually people buy an awful lot so it's frustrating, especially if your just grabbing a few things. If they do open a new line, it's every man for himself, not the next person in line as you would expect. Also bring your own bags cause they do charge you them.
