I had previously gone to Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital for many years. They have gotten too big and the service has deteriorated too much. I am more than pleased with Dr Heather at Canal Vet. Attention to detail and found a heart problem in my dog that Monte Vista had missed the last couple of visits. Dr Heather, thank you for caring so much!

Highly recommend canal vet! I’ve been taking my dogs to another location and my friend recommended canal! We saw Dr. heather Deleon and she was very patient and informative. They definitely have great customer service from picking up the phone to make the appointment to checking out after our visit. We are very pleased with their office and will be going there from now on!

Dr Heather has been caring for my cat, Trixie, the past year and a half. Trixie suffers from IBD and recently had a serious flareup. She was very sick losing significant weight very quickly and refusing to eat. Dr. Heather made time to see Trixie the same day I called and every day for an entire week for injections and treatment. We came very close to losing Trixie and credit Dr. Heather with saving her life. This all occurred the last week of March 2020 during the pand

Very disappointed in Canal Vet. hosp. They added unnecessary procedures and fees without consultation. Theres an Assistant who is extremely rude and but not usual front desk lady . I heard this has happened before to another party.

I sought out a new vet after a bad experience at the one I had gone to for the last 10 years. I decided to give this one a try because it is close to my home and my husband told me he had heard really good things. I have had nothing but good experiences here. I took my dog in for some vestibular issues. She was falling over and it was really scary. Everyone at the office was very friendly and really seemed to care about my dog. I found Dr Larsson very knowledgeable and helpful. I will continue to use them as my vet.

Caring & compassionate staff & great doctors. I've been coming here 20 years with my pets so have experienced everything from spays, surgeries, routine visits, diabetic care, compassionate & loving euthanasia and much more. I like the personal attention & interaction with a smaller veterinary clinic/hospital. Your pet & you are always the top priority here. Highly recommend!

The Canal Veterinary Hospital Dr Heather Deleon is the best. We took our Mother's dog Bella she was so wonderful. She was down on Bella's level & explained everything to us. We just loved our experience there. Everyone was friendly & kind. We would recommend you to anyone even though we don't live here. We are from St Louis this is our second home. Service was priceless

I trust Dr. Heather with my cats. I had a bad experience at a vet in Modesto and was pleasantly surprised at the difference in care we received here. I like that they are a smaller office and have a "family" feel. My mom and cousin take their cats here too, so they come with high recommendations. Dr. Heather's demeanor was very gentle. I also felt she was particularly thorough in her exam. I didn't feel rushed. She was knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. All in all she seems to be a good person who you can tell genuinely cares for animals. I had occasion to use the restroom here, which required me to walk through the back area of the hospital where they house all the animals, and I was pleased by the conditions in there. Not the horrible steel cages I was envisioning. I will be taking my older cat here for a teeth cleaning, so he'll get to experience the accommodations. Based on the care we've received with our kittens, I can go into it stress-free knowing he's in good hands. Prices are reasonable and wait times are short, too. An under-yelped but highly recommended place.

I've been coming here for years and I love these folks. They truly care about pets and don't make money appear to be what they are most concerned about. With my currently ill cat, Dr. Heather communicates with me via email to quide and answer my questions. I will go nowhere else.
