Big shop posing as your small-town friendly mechanic. Be very careful.
I’ve had experiences where myself, friends, and family were either outright ripped off by this shop or nearly ripped off.
I had tires installed on an older car that doesn’t have tire pressure sensors. However, when I went to pay the bill, there was a charge for the sensors. I asked if that charge was supposed to be there, and the parts manager, without skipping a beat, said, “Oh yeah, that shouldn’t be on there,” with no real apology or explanation. Maybe I have a different view, but I’d be pretty appalled if I accidentally tried to charge my customer extra.
Other issues I’ve encountered include WAY overcharging for a job, quoting repairs for things that don’t need to be replaced, and using cheap replacement parts.
I’d steer clear unless you absolutely need their specific services—go somewhere else instead.

Professional, courteous, ethical--just the type of service you want but unfortunately don't receive too often in today's society. Their pricing is fair and very competitive. They are thorough and don't take forever to get the job done. The employees are professionals and courteous. I'm so glad I found them. I highly recommend Balswick's on Golden State in Turlock.

I'm from out of town and had to get an oil change here. Charging over $100 for a synthetic oil change is absurd, there are places that can do it for $70 where I'm from. They also recommended I change the air filter and cabin filter for an additional $80 but those filters cost $20 combined. I understand it's a business and you have to remain profitable but at this point, they're just fleecing people.

Fast, and quick service especially for not having an appointment. I got a oil change on one vehicle right when they opened only waited, maybe 20 minutes. Then brought back another vehicle, and they got my smog and recharged my ac all within an hour. Everyone there was friendly! I'll be back for future car needs

My husband has been going to Balswicks for years taking multiple cars there for service. Oil change is speedy with added features of tire rotation, air check and fluid top off. We have always been satisfied with service and friendliness.Service: Oil change

Don't go anywhere else! Exceptional service, courteous, polite and very friendly staff, great prices and they do awesome work! They provide several services for your car! We will not go anywhere else to have our work done

Always easy in and easy out. I have a fleet vehicle and the information is already on file. Nice people and you can tell they enjoy their job. The work always appears to be of quality.
