I'm from out of town and had to get an oil change here. Charging over $100 for a synthetic oil change is absurd, there are places that can do it for $70 where I'm from. They also recommended I change the air filter and cabin filter for an additional $80 but those filters cost $20 combined. I understand it's a business and you have to remain profitable but at this point, they're just fleecing people.

Don't go anywhere else! Exceptional service, courteous, polite and very friendly staff, great prices and they do awesome work! They provide several services for your car! We will not go anywhere else to have our work done

Ok - this summer my husband too his vehicle in for a tire rotation. It was completed. As my husband drove onto Lander all was well for a few mins- then- while in traffic, his left tire came off and he watched it roll into oncoming traffic- he managed to gain control of the vehicle and lucky was able to pull to the side. It was 110 degrees that day. He called Balswicks and they came and out and put the tire back on as he waited in the heat. He could of been killed or have caused an accident for the oncoming traffic. I called the business the next day and said "you almost killed my husband". The response was, "I said I was sorry". We used to take all our cars here but no more- I wouldn't let them work on a tricycle. Be safe- drive on- not only could it of been far worse but the customer service was astoundingly poor. I thought they should of at least reimbursed him the cost since they almost killed him. I would not recommend- back when the older gentleman ran it - I felt it was pretty good but stay away if you want to keep all your tires in your car when you drive.

Buying tires is something I dread. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but it's not like you are going to say to your friends, come over and check out my new tires! Unless you are someone who gets a new vehicle every couple of years, you will need to purchase new tires at some point during the time you own the vehicle. In the past, I would always purchase my tires through a big box store. Since the pandemic, it has been very important to me and my husband to support locally owned small businesses whenever possible. We decided to try Balswick's. We stopped by yesterday to ask about new tires for my vehicle. Unfortunately my vehicle requires a special tire size that is not normally kept in stock. The owner said he would order the tires and they would be delivered the next day around noon. We had previously scheduled plans today and were hoping to be finished with the new tires as early as possible. The owner said he would call us as soon as the tires were delivered. This morning at 6:00am my husband received a text stating our tires were delivered and are ready to be installed! Our new tires were promptly installed and we were able to take care of our plans as scheduled! The prices of our new tires were competitive with the big box stores and we felt good helping support a small business. If you need new tires, check out Balswick's!

I could easily write 5 paragraphs on why you shouldn't go here for an oil change. This is a rundown on what happened on my last oil change with them. Something to note before I start is that this is probably my 3rd or 4th time going to that same shop. So getting back on topic, I go in and ask if I can have my oil changed because as I pulled in they have a two or three cars ahead of me ; they say yes have a seat and I give them my keys. No less than 10 minutes I get my car key back and the guy who did my oil change saying he was done . which is the quickest time I have ever had on an oil change. I was skeptical but was glad it was fast, so I payed and left. The next day my check engine light came on so I go back to the shop and they say I would have to talk to the penzoil people about it because they were not responsible for the job. I talk to them and they say it has nothing to do with the work they did. Which is BS but there's nothing I could do so I end up taking it to another mechanic which repairs foreign cars. Forward to about a moth of going back and forth and the guy doesn't know what code he's seeing on my car but replaces a part anyway and tried to charge me for it saying he repaired it. It takes 3 days and the check engine light comes back on so at this point I'm beyond pissed and I go back to the mechanic and he suggest I leave the car there for a week and a half so he knows what's wrong. I tell him I want my money back to which he responds there is no refunds. I storm off and take my car to a bmw dealership and they tell me the people who did my oil change broke my oil cap as well as putting one O ring on my oil filter they put two. I probably spent so much money and time trying to figure out what was wrong with my car just to find out the same and first people I suspected didn't want to accept the mistakes they made. Beware of this place. Save your money and time and go to people that are actually experienced.

Ive been bringing our cars here for the last 25+ years and have ALWAYS had a great experience and the customer service is great! from drop off to pick up the staff has you in and out as promised! I highly recommend this place for tires, front end work, brakes! Thank you guys!!!

I came in at 4 pm on 10/4. to have my oil changed. At 4:50, after being the only customer in the waiting room for some time, I was told sorry they were closing soon and didn't have time do to my oil change because they didn't get a po number. Come back another time . I have a fleet vehicle that requires a phone call and a PO number. I've been coming here for many years and know the drill. My problem is at any time during this process they could have told me they were having a problem. They didn't . I would have fixed it or happily paid for the oil change. They never gave me the option or even communicated with me at all. Just handed me the keys and slammed the roll up door. The manager sent one of the workers out to tell me this. If your going to treat a customer like this at least the manager should come out to explain . Pretty lame. The only thing I can do as a consumer is to NOT give them my business. So I won't .

The ones complaining about masks maybe you should go put your clown mask on and change your own oil.. no one forced you to go to this business.

Took my 94 Chevy Silverado in today for a much needed oil change and was welcomed by Bret with a huge smile, he complimented me on shirt. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. I highly recommend them and their affordable too with my $10 coupon it was less than $40.

Looks like COVID-19 is over here at Balswick's beware no one in the whole building is wearing a mask. It's a super spreader business. When a business doesn't respect their customers they lose business.

I used them, but they are anti-maskers. No one in there wears a mask. They are not doing their part to help stop the covid-19 pandemic. I wish they would do a better job helping to protect the community. Shame.
