“We recommend this place completely! Dr. Ancu and the team at Big Tujunga Vet Hospital came to our kitty's rescue when he needed it most. When our kitty, Conway, got sick and stopped eating, they got him in right away and quickly diagnosed the issue (he was in a diabetic ketoacidosis state as he had undiagnosed, sudden onset of diabetes). Along with a host of other issues, our kitty had a grim outlook. Dr. Ancu provided us with so much helpful information to make the best decision for our sweet Conway, and we decided to move forward with treatment.

After 3 days of care in the vet hospital, Dr. Ancu and team stabilized Conway, he started eating, and we were able to bring him home. While it has been a road to recovery, we're now 2.5 months post emergency and the continued care from the whole team has been so impressive! We appreciate how thoughtful, thorough and caring everyone is, and we feel like we have a fully supportive team behind Conway's recovery.

“Best place for your animal. Rainbow is the nightmare of places for my animals but when it came to Media city it was a shocker that my own pets actually get excited about going here. I trust them and it's not chaotic in there. They gave recommendations for what my animals need and really told me what's actually recommended while the rest of the offers aren't needed. They're not trying to make money they just want people to have healthy pets. I love you Media we will be returning again soon ?

“I have been taking my cats and dogs to Dr Mohan for a very long time. He’s been so kind and understanding and knowledgeable in the care and health of my pets. We’ve been thru many different issues over approximately 20 yrs with both my dogs and cats. I appreciate the staff and Dr V as well, and have nothing but great things to say about them! Dr. Ahmad is always so happy to discuss the intricacies of my dog's health issues and thoroughly explain all of the options available for her. “I have been going to Dr Tang since the mid '90's, when I had a pet cockatiel with my two sons, and more recently since 2007, when my husband and I got our first dog. He saved our dog, Spencer about 15 years ago. He'd had a seizure out of the blue, when he'd accidentally eaten rat poison outside without our knowing it. Dr Tang not only saved Spencer, but that dog went on to live another 10 years almost! Most recently our dog Popper has some autoimmune disease, and Dr Tang has seen us almost 10 times over the past 2 months, trying his best to figure out how to treat this 7-year-old (young!) dog. We have all the confidence in Dr Tang's ability, expertise, and most importantly in his compassion. As others have mentioned, Dr Tang doesn't have great bedside manner with the humans who visit his practice, but he so obviously cares about our pets (his patients, as he said this morning), that I will keep going to him forever. And he is so reasonable, I sometimes wonder how he stays in business! God Bless Dr Tang!”

“My dog was diagnosed with pyometra at another hospital but their costs were way too high. I walked in here for an emergency spay, hoping they could take my dog in right away at a lower cost. Fortunately, they were able to get her in immediately and within my budget! Everyone was very nice and helpful during a stressful time. My dog came out of surgery very well taken care of. “We saw Dr. Werner for about a year for our dog's environmental allergies. He helped us figure out the best medication for her and always made sure she was getting the best care for her allergies. We tried immunotherapy, atopica, and apoquel. We appreciate that he worked with us to figure out how to best help her with the knowledge we had about her allergies. He and the front desk staff (Cynthia and Bonnie in particular) were always kind and friendly with our girl which made her happy to be there which is no easy feat. Dr. Werner was also the vet that helped us figure out what was going on with our girl when her health declined with what we thought was a hystiocytoma. He was very gentle and careful with her and that truly makes all the difference when your dog is ill. I'm a type A mom so I had ALL the questions and follow up questions and he always answered them. Beyond Dr.Werner's care we always appreciated Bonnie's kindness - in person and on the phone. Once we got a cancer diagnosis, she asked to be kept updated about our girl even though we weren't actively working with Dr. Werner due to the new diagnosis. She spoke with me and gave me guidance and promised to keep dr.Werner updated. She also always made sure to reach out to vets when in need of records which always helped because not all vet offices are always on top of that. She is truly a one of a kind person that went above and beyond and that's not easy to find in veterinary medicine especially since she works the front desk and didn't have to spend that time speaking with me. The only thing I wish had been different was how they informed us that her cytology report was positive for cancer. I got a call on a Monday morning from a man, maybe a lab tech (I believe his name was Chris but I'm not sure - we'd never spoken before) and he just said "the report came back consistent with cancer, dr. Werner suggests contacting an oncologist". Normally for a call about results I'm used to a doctor informing me, not some random guy I've literally never spoken to. It was also heartbreaking news and to have it delivered so straightforward without any consolation (no "I'm sorry" "I know this is hard" etc) was a bit jarring. But I don't want this to reflect on the center as a whole because they were always good to her and truly gave the best care we could hope for with her allergies. Would definitely recommend.”

You can tell they love animals and help as much as possible.Unlike other vets, they explain what is wrong or great about your pet. “Angelus is a lovely animal hospital. One of the more affordable vet clinics I’ve found in the LA area. Dr. Teves is really great, and so are the vet techs! I had to bring both of my cats in for separate issues in the same week, and they gave me a good customer discount due to my situation. One cat swallowed a foreign object and the other had a bladder issue….needed x-rays for both cats, and in both cases Dr. Teves showed me the scans and went over his assessment with me in a lot of detail. I’ve never had a vet do that before! I was pretty emotional during this entire debacle, and he answered all of my questions and reassured me. They didn’t push unnecessary surgeries or treatments on me, which other vets in the area WILL do. Both cats bounced back quickly with their treatment plans and I will definitely bring them back for their check ups!”

You can tell that everyone at AHCC truly cares about animals, and helping them to have the most comfortable experience possible. “Dr. O’Dwyer and the team are absolutely the best and we are so thankful for everything they have done to care for our 2 senior dogs. We had many visits including annual exams, dental and emergencies throughout the years (since 2018) and we were always given an excellent care during each visit. Easy to make appointments and we are always seen right on time. They treat our dogs like their own and all our questions are answered thoroughly and all issues are addressed with the best treatment plans. Dr. Mike is incredible but I haven't had a bad experience with any vet we've seen for our dog Ivy and I never feel like they are trying to up charge me or do anything unnecessary. At previous vets I felt like they would do unnecessary blood work or X-rays to make more money. Never here. They are so kind and caring I feel lucky to have found them.”

Honestly you should go with them for being honest vets if nothing else, but they're also kind and I feel like my cats get good care, so even though it's now a drive for my wife and I to bring our cats here since we moved away from sfv and into Los Angeles it's still worth it for us to make the trip.”
