I took my dog in for a follow-up and also to get something else checked out and they treated my girl with so much care. They put us in a room almost immediately after noticing my dogs gets anxiety with abrupt noises, they treated her with kindness and spoiled her with treats. And the doctor took her time listening and explaining things, It was a very pleasant experience.

We switched vets to Pet Medical Center after a terrible experience with a previous vet. Dr. Afshar more than restored my faith in veterinary care, and as far as I'm concerned, she is the only vet I will ever see from now on. She takes the time to patiently explain whatever your pet's issue is, is happy to answer all of your questions, and clearly genuinely cares about each animal she sees. When my sweet girl had a biopsy that tested positive for cancer, Dr. A was the one who called to break the news. No one wants that kind of call but I wouldn't have wanted to hear it from anyone else. In addition to that, everyone else that works in her office is amazing. I have never been treated so kindly and felt so safe leaving my baby in their care. Thank you, Pet Medical Center!

My cat has been here twice since we adopted her. The first time was for a regular check up. The vet and vet tech were both caring and answered all my questions. The next visit was for a dental cleaning and one tooth removal. They even called the next day to see how she was doing after her tooth removal which I felt was very caring and sweet of them. I feel my cat received great care both times here.

I had been going to to this vet clinic for many years. They had seen all of the dogs I owned since moving to Tujunga in 1998. I've seen many fine veterinarians pass through the office and hoped each time they would stay. But, not much later another great one would come along. When my Boston Terrier puppy got stung by a bee, I called in to see what I should do. Jaime said to watch for certain signs beyond the initial swelling. As we were talking she started vomiting and he said to bring her right in. They had an exam room ready and the doctor was practically waiting, even though they were busy. My poor pup looked so miserable. They looked her over, checked her breathing and then took her in the back for treatment. When she came back to us she still looked miserable but was out of danger. She no longer plays with bees. When you do need to say "good bye" to your special friend/fur baby, they are there for you. They are kind and compassionate and even light a candle so other people know someone is saying "good bye". Jaime even gave me a hug as I cried on his shoulder. They are all so wonderful, and not just in times like that but all the time. I have since had to move away and miss them so much! I wish them all the best and they better keep in touch. They are like family.

Everyone here was so friendly, and kind. They answered all my questions and made me and my kitty feel comfortable. Milo got all his shots and a deworming medication. He was comfortable during the whole visit, I will definitely be coming back for anything Milo needs in the future.

After having bad experiences with local veterinary practices, it is such a relief to find true compassionate veterinary care at Pet Medical Center. I have a 17 year old cat who is my life, and from the moment I stepped into Pet Medical Center I knew could trust their team to give Rowena the best care possible. Dr. Afshar is a true gem. It is clear that she cares about every animal she treats. She is warm and full of compassion and gives you solid advice. She always explains everything in a way that makes it easy for you to understand, and I have never felt like I was being sold on anything. The entire staff have always been incredibly kind, from the very first appointment I made. I can’t thank them enough. I highly recommend Pet Medical Center, would give 10 stars if I could.

This would be my 3rd time taking my dog to this vet. First 2 times were awesome. My dog is a pit bull and he barks loudly and can be a little intimidating/tough for doctors to see him but this place the 2 times I took him he was amazing and they were able to see him and treat him. The 3rd time however, my dog had a toothache and was little more sensitive. Being a pitbull n all and barking I can understand why staff were hesitant even though before the appointment I told the technician over the phone that it may be difficult this time to get near him because of the sensitivity of his toothache and she advised that the vet knows what shes doing. At least give other options to sedate him and then take a look because his tooth his loose & it seems like a major issue. Instead of referring me elsewhere, instead of caring for dogs well being whether or not he is in pain, the vet comes in the room & just cause my dog jumped up no biting no anything like how dogs get excited and she stepped out room and said oh no not today.I totally understand that vets need to be cautious for their own well being and my dog was barking n jumPing and i can understand that it can be intimidating (especially to an unexperinced vet) but at least show care that u care for the dogs welfare. Ask me if hes in pain give me temporary help so i can bring dog back with less pain so he can allow someone to see him. But what I don't understand is the attitude and unwillingness to provide other alternatives or treatments for care.No one talked to me to explain or asks me if dog is in pain. I took my dog back in the car and decided to go back inside so I can further discuss with staff my frustration with the "help" i was given that day. But it was pointless and it resulted to the clinic retaliating against me and writing they refuse to see my dog. My dog is a pitbull yes but is not aggressive.I mean even little dogs can be uncooperative as well, no? There is big difference between agression and uncooperative.I would think a vets office would be more knowledgeable and know difference between aggressive dog and uncooperative dog. Just cause my dog is a pit bull its much easier to put aggressive tag on him. Not only were they unhelpful and sent me away with no resolution to my dogs tooth issue and did not even care what happens to dogs welfare, but they refused to even see a picture of issue so they can help my dog.Just cause it's a pit bull and was barking.I mean I would think a vet should know how to handle such situation at least give me a muzzle. He has a toothache and knew he was going to vet and was on edge. At least the doctor as a licensed vet should be better equipped to handle such situations so they can be able to provde some sort of help with the dog. I offered to take a picture and show them the issue because I'm desperately seeking to find out what's wrong with my dogs tooth and they declined that also. I understand it's not usual practice but for certain times like this it should be acceptable at least to not let the dog go back home with pain.Shame on these people. They could have even offered me a sedate option. Before even making the appointment, i told the technication that since this time it is a toothache that my dog will be more resistant in letting someone near him And she stated its ok our vet knows what shes doing but obviously this wasnt the case. They falsely exaggerated some information on my dogs medical record and stated we will not allow this pet back in clinic. They saw him twice beforehand and it was never an issue before. An experienced and caring vet would know how to better handle such situation and/or provide alternatives so my dog can get some care but rather they choose to cover up their ways and exaggerate on my dogs vet record thT we were the problem not knowing they did me a favor.I wouldn't want to take my dog to such a careless place anyway.I called them to ask for a referral at least and the disrespectful unprofessional clerk Amanda hung up the phone on me.Shame on this plac

I recently visited Pet Medical Center and was so impressed with their staff and their treatment for my dog. My dog is so afraid at the vets office because when he was a puppy he always got car sick. Because of that he hates riding in the car, it just makes him fearful of the whole experience. Dr. A was so kind and caring as my dog was petrified. I highly recommend Pet Medical Center her diagnosis was spot on for my dog and he’s doing great. The office staff is wonderful as well. Their office is very clean and everyone is so nice and caring. I give them an A+++++!!!

The entire staff were very friendly and helpful. I arrived early for both appointments and they accommodated me and my elderly cat. Their prices are reasonable but the care to my cat was great!

I've got to confirm if your seeking a top notch quality veterinarian than you will do no better than this establishment. I've been coming here for over 30yrs and have never been disappointed. Dr Afshar is a very compassionate down to earth doctor that clearly has you pets best interest in mind. She never makes you feel rushed and is clearly in business for her love of animals first. My dog is super skidesh and a real handful and the doctor and staff always figure out the best way to handle her. Thank you Doctor and staff for all you do.

Welcoming staff and friendly, competent, and outgoing Veterinarian, Dr. Afshar. She reviewed my rescue dog, explained areas that needed care (teeth!), and listened to my questions. All my questions were answered and I was provided a suggested appropriate plan of action. I confidently recommend Dr. Afshar and her staff.

Love this place! My big shelter rescue Shepherd is so afraid of the car and the vet! They are so sweet here and make it easier for him. My cat likes them too!

Pet Medical Center-Sunland is a no frills facility that doesn't have the "WOW" factor as some vet hospitals have...what they do have in the "WOW" factor is customer service. From the receptionist to the techs and of course Dr. Afshar who has patience and clarity speaking with the guardians on the care and options of your pets. Unfortunately we've come across plenty of facilities that are either up selling you on products/services or nodding their heads and writing a prescription. We truly appreciate that there are "QUALITY" services and "QUALITY" care that is out there for our beloved animals. It's a distance for us but so worth it when it's needed. Thank you Dr. Afshar who works tirelessly as a single vet practice and still be compassionate, empathic and pull from her professionalism on the care of my personal kids, my foster-"Freedom" and others that have been referred to her that love her. What a "Hidden Treasure"!

I brought my little white dog to this wonderful vet so they could trim his nails. He hates when I do it but just melts when he sees one of the vet techs. The little guy loves to go to the vet. Thank you so much, Dr. Afshar and all the wonderful staff. And, to Peter the cat. We love him.

I was referred to Dr. Afshar by a dog groomer and obedience trainer. This was my first time bringing my very big rescue dog to Dr. Afshar. She was very thorough in her exam. She was pleasant and very knowledgeable and caring. Everyone in the office is really nice and the quality of service was superb. I will definitely be going back.
