We recommend this place completely! Dr. Ancu and the team at Big Tujunga Vet Hospital came to our kitty's rescue when he needed it most. When our kitty, Conway, got sick and stopped eating, they got him in right away and quickly diagnosed the issue (he was in a diabetic ketoacidosis state as he had undiagnosed, sudden onset of diabetes). Along with a host of other issues, our kitty had a grim outlook. Dr. Ancu provided us with so much helpful information to make the best decision for our sweet Conway, and we decided to move forward with treatment.
After 3 days of care in the vet hospital, Dr. Ancu and team stabilized Conway, he started eating, and we were able to bring him home. While it has been a road to recovery, we're now 2.5 months post emergency and the continued care from the whole team has been so impressive! We appreciate how thoughtful, thorough and caring everyone is, and we feel like we have a fully supportive team behind Conway's recovery.
Thank you Dr. Ancu and team, from the bottom of our hearts for helping to save Conway's life and for continuing to help us make sure he has great quality of life going forward! We appreciate you so much and recommend you to others in need of emergency or ongoing care highly!

My cat Shadow had a minor Dental emergency. My usual Vet couldn't see him until the following day (all "booked up".) So, I called Dr. Ancu & the Staff told me to bring him in right away. Dr. Ancu took care of the problem. He & the Staff were very professional and courteous & promptly treated Shadow's issue.

I had an a fatty mass on my dog and they couldn’t identify what it was and long story short $500 later no actually diagnosis but some antibiotics. I feel as though I threw money at the wind.

The vet techs are sweet, and the doctor is really kind. I’ve had to go to them twice now, once for when my dog was attacked and had to undergo surgery that same day. They were communicative and kind.Then, when my dog had what I thought was an eye infection, they figured out it was a thorn inside of her eye, and helped me to get an appointment with a specialist that same day.

We've taken our senior dog here for several years and while the front office staff are great and friendly, I cannot recommend this practice. In our most recent interaction, our dog had blood in her urine and so we brought her in. Between the office visit and blood work, it was $300.The symptoms and tests were inconclusive, but the vet thought she might have kidney stones and wanted to do an x-ray for another $700. We asked what the treatment and cost would be if it turned out she did have kidney stones. We wanted to make an informed decision before committing to a significant expense on a very senior dog who may not even tolerate treatment.The vet was elusive and didn't want to discuss treatment or cost until after the x-ray. It felt like extortion. Ultimately, we urged the vet to give our dog antibiotics since there was a chance it was an UTI. The cost for the standard antibiotics were reasonable but they charged us again for an office visit just for the prescription--which should have been a no-brainer on our first visit.After 3 weeks, our dog was completely healthy again. It was a UTI and we were glad we managed to avoid going down the rabbit hole of test after expensive test.

Unprofessional doctors. I was charged almost 3000$ for nothing. The diagnosis was completely wrong. I was told that my kitten ate something wrong and everything will be ok. But he had a terrible pain and as it turned out he had an abscess. Hopefully I took him immediately to another clinics where he was given antibiotics and the big hole in his body was sew up.
Don’t recommend anybody. The only what they can do just take your money without any help.
On the pick is what happened to my kitten when I bring him back from Tujunga hospital. And they told me he was positing.

Since early the 90s, Nay Nay, Sha Sha, Odis and Mitzie have been patients of Big Tujunga Vet Hospital. No complaints. Dr. Ancu is has always been great with my fur babies. Actually I have never taken my babies to any other vet. I like Dr. Ancu and Linda. Linda has great customer care skills, personable and lovely person as is the Dr. Ancu. My dogs have always received great medical care with love and compassion. Mitzie is always nervous when she has an appt with Dr. Ancu. Yet after her appt, she is healthy and well.I have only one complaint of the missing painting of the boy and his dog no longer have a place in the waiting room.Cheers to Big Tujunga Vet Hospital and the lovely people who represent a wonderful establishment for our pets❣️

I can’t say enough how nice and caring this place is. I took my cat there 10 years ago and I didn’t have a need to go back till now. I was so happy that I found their paper business card in my desk. Dr. Ancu is absolutely amazing and very caring. He spoke with me on the phone for about 30 min, gave me all the options and never pushed me to do anything. I just felt that he was very genuine and that all it mattered to me. The nursing staff as well very nice and caring. I am so happy that I found him and I will recommend him to everyone. Thank you Dr. Ancu and everyone who cared for Zorro.
