John is a snowboard boot miracle worker. For over 10 years I dealt with foot pain while snowboarding. Often bad enough I could not complete a run without stopping midway. Over the years I went to multiple boot fitters in the Bay Area, offering to pay whatever was necessary, and no one was able to solve my issues. I found John through a discussion on Reddit and made an appointment last Fall. He took his time to understand my issues and set me up with new boots and their new custom snowboard foot beds. So far I have rode 13 days this season completely pain free. It has been amazing after those years of foot pain getting in the way. I have noticed my riding has even improved because the boots fit so well.

I found this store through Yelp. I needed a snowboard and boot rental. I first booked my rental at Sports Basement but it was around $90. I found that this place's rental was half the price ($45). and it was on the way to Northstar. I cancelled my Sports Basement rental and made a reservation online for a 1 day rental at Tahoe Sports Hub. I opted to pick up my rental on the day I was planning to snowboard but they let you pick up the night before for no extra charge. You can also return the following day before 10am for no extra charge. Picking up my rental was quick, only took about 10 mins since I already paid online. My friends commented that my boots looked really nice and new, so despite the cheaper price, the rental gear isn't of lesser quality. I'd book a rental here again.

If you want nice new ski boots go anywhere else in town. If you want a rude guy to bark at you about not having an appointment and not even let you look at whats in stock go here.

I had an incredibly positive experience with boot fitter Kevin. My 10 year old boots were never comfortable, and I've been wanting new boots for years. We made a 1 day trip to Truckee from Marin and it was 100% worth it. Kevin asked all the right questions, was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the boots, and found a pair that fit really well. He was patient the entire time we worked together - helping me try on multiple pairs of boots and finding the right one for my feet, customizing the foot bed, heat molding the liner and transferring my old boot heaters into my new boots. I immediately went to the nearest ski hill to give them a try and they were super comfortable. Something to know - the new boot bottoms don't work with the older ski bindings. I demoed a pair of skies - which were very fun to ski on. Upon returning to the shop I bought the skies and they quickly added the bindings. ALL of the employees at Tahoe Sports Hub we worked with were knowledgable, friendly and patient. The shop is full of quality gear all the way around. If you're in the market for new gear - especially boots which are expensive, and require professionals to find the best fit, Tahoe Sports Hub is THE spot. We will be back.

I feel like these folks are done if the few left in town who aren't in it to solely make money, but also for the good of the ski/board/bike/outdoor community. The staff is awesome, they all know what they're talking about and aren't afraid to get someone else to answer questions if they don't know the answer, and they treat everyone as a potential asset to their business and the industry as a whole. A typical boot fitting appointment usually turns into a full show between Bob's jokes and Keith's antics, Davy and the back shop crew put out a great tune, and I've never heard any customer talked down to or treated poorly.

Rob and the team at Tahoe Sports Hub were friendly, knowledgable, and incredibly helpful with dialing in my backcountry equipment for an upcoming ski trip. I got all the gear I needed in one stop and within my budget, which I really appreciate. I had an awesome experience at Tahoe Sports Hub and I highly recommend them for all your adventure gear!

I had an awesome experience at Tahoe Sports Hub. Huge shout out to Harley! Booking a boot fitting appt online was a breeze, and Harley's expertise shone through during my ski boot fitting. As a newbie, he explained everything in a relatable and easy-to-grasp manner, from what to consider on fit, and what to keep in mind for skill progression. But what truly stood out was his dedication to making sure I felt confident and comfortable with my boots, socks, helmet, goggles and ski rentals. This is the ultimate go-to for outdoor gear, especially for those of us diving into new outdoor activities.

I can't recommend Tahoe Sports Hub enough. They are extremely knowledgeable about their equipment, and have the best boot-fitters in the area. They are friendly and professional. This is where I do my shopping for mountain activities!

Really disappointed with the service here. Noticed I had a chunk out of my motorcycle tire when I parked next door to get food. Saw the bike store as I got off and figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask if they had a tire pressure sensor I could use just to double check…they turned me towards their “cheaper” $40 option and which certainly would have worked but at that price just to check pressure one time didn’t make sense, so I asked if they had one in shop I could borrow for a second (even offering to pay for shop services or shop time)Was met with a really rude attitude “shop use only if you can’t afford that go to a gas station” ok totally cool that you might not want to lend a tool I get that but to do so as rudely as they did really put a sour taste in my mouth, especially considering anyone on two wheels knows that it’s mainly a safety issue…Just seems so short sided that you’d tell someone off who otherwise has their whole life to support your store! Just tired of the lack of common decency…!

Had to get replacement inserts for my Ski boots and came across Tahoe Sports Hub. They were super friendly and had exactly what I needed.Extra shoutout to Bob who helped me through picking and heat molding the inserts. Super professional and incredibly knowledgeable.I highly, highly recommend this shop ?

Good selection of gear and friendly staff. Marking down because you should be wary of bringing them bindings to mount that they don’t sell. They mounted skis I purchased from them with my own bindings and missed several components that should have been installed. Additionally they missed a DIN adjustment setting entirely which made me prematurely eject multiple times before I figured out the issue, very unsafe.

So pleased with Tahoe Sports Hub! Purchased ski boots here in the '21-22 season and came back for a fitting adjustment this winter. Didn't have an appointment, but Harley squeezed me for a same-day fix. Love the fit of my boots and the helpful employees!
