Selection was decent. They had pretty good service though. You really have to tolerate the lack of selection due to how scarce grocery stores are in the area.

It looks nice in here because its organised well. Its well cleaned and theres a wide selection of all kinds of food and cooking products. Theres also a pharmacy.

The worst!!! They have 1 or 2 lanes open with huge lines. A ton of self checkout that people don’t want to do with full carts. They tried to solve this problem by putting in even more self checkouts. Management doesn't care about customers. The guy with the Afro in the meat department couldn’t be any more grumpy than he already is. One of the most frustrating things is that the new digital coupon system has failed every time I’ve used it. Taking the clerk a ton of time to go back through each item. Safeway Truckee is an over priced and has a monopoly. They are milking people that live here for all the $ they have. We all wish this was a Trader Joe’s instead!

Man, oh, man! This is one very busy store - summer and winter! It’s hard to find a time when this place isn’t packed. Amazingly, they keep things well stocked and the produce is generally excellent. Also, they have a very good bakery.

Well it's a safeway in a place that otherwise might not have a big grocery store. My impression is it's serving a lot of the tourist community -- I was there on a Friday night doing shopping for my own ski vacation -- so prices might be a bit high and grocery stores as a whole have become less service oriented. The self checkout line moved relatively quickly and they had lots of stuff but nothing too specific (e.g., if your looking for more rare spices you probably won't find them there). So 24 hours plus has a pretty good variety of stuff = 4 starts.

Bearded gentleman at self-checkout was awesome but he's gone now, the in-store Starbucks is now much better staffed.

We had a large purchase and Adam had so much patience, enthusiasm and was so kind. We could not stop talking about how amazing his customer service was on our way home. The young lady who bagged our groceries with Adam was so friendly. We will ONLY go to Adam’s line. Five stars is not enough!!!!!

Safeway consistently provides a great shopping experience with its wide selection of high-quality products, friendly staff, and convenient locations. The store layout is organized and easy to navigate, making it simple to find everything on my shopping list. I appreciate the variety of organic and specialty items available, as well as the frequent sales and promotions that help me save money. Overall, Safeway is my go-to grocery store for reliable service and a pleasant shopping experience.

How not helpful can you be? Not only one person and fortunately not everyone. Staff really is great to explain California State Law at the self check out for alcohol. How about you take a page out of Raley’s playbook and help with the check out instead of explaining the law and obviously enjoying jerking your customers around? Arrogant and condescending. Awful.Shoppers go to Raley’s or Savemart if you like to be treated with respect.
