Carl had a great manner with her and it was easy to coordinate timing as Carl gave us an approximate time she would be ready- and then a 20 minute heads up on her exact timing. I drive from Tahoe city to the Truckee Mountain Peak so this coordination really helps me. I prefer to use credit card but their credit card system was down so I had to pay using Venmo (they had some other e-pay options available) but this was just a slight inconvenience. Overall, a very good experience and I will groom my dog here again.

When they have stayed at other places they come home emotionally needy. When they stay at Dena's they come happy. I highly recommend Dena.

9701 CA-267, TruckeeWe've used the Veterinary Hospital on a couple of occasions during when we've done extended dog sitting for our son's dog Arthur, a sweet Pocket American Bully. While the reasons for bringing him in weren't more serious than a mid-level ear infection, I appreciated their attentiveness and gentle handling of Arthur who both times came out of the examining and treatment room happy, wagging his tail vigorously.

She always has a blast, comes home completely tuckered out, and sometimes I wonder if she'd rather stay with them than come back home with me ;) I would absolutely recommend these gals for all your Tahoe dog walking/adventuring needs!

Ice cream had just about the right sweet and it was awesome. Very friendly owner. We tried latte which was great too. It will be our must visit shop for our next visit to Tahoe

Bowl with Coconut Curry lamb ($10.50 + $1) Gluten Free. Served with gharki dal, quinoa, yogurt tahini sauce, fresh cabbage, fattoush and your choice of filling. Good sized bowl with fresh ingredients and cooked perfectly. 9/10
Hummus + (GF) Curry Chips ($6.50) Has really crunchy chips along with a thick hummus. Nicely done. 8.5/10
Bowl of soup - Tomato Coconut Red Curry ($7.50) includes naan or chips. Very bold flavor and a lot of spice. 8.5/10
Farmers Market Salad ($8 half size) was still a good sized salad with a nice dressing. Greens had some slightly wilted. 8/10
Gyro ($12) Served on house-made naan with sliced lamb, hummus, yogurt tahini sauce, hilbeh, romaine lettuce and fattoush was also top notch. Lots of meat. 8.5/10

Excellent food and service in a relaxed, informal setting. The ladies at the counter were friendly and helpful. We both had hot sandwiches which were meaty and substantial. This might be a mandatory stop when we travel though Truckee.

10061 S River St, TruckeeWe visited a few years ago, in 2018 and bought several bottles of Red Barn Red. Tonight 2/15/2025, I opened our last bottle. It held its color and flavor. We are really enjoying this lovely wine. I think it's time to visit Truckee, again. Cheers!

Friendly, attentive service from the server with the earring --he actually went out of his way to bring our food, ranch dip, etc. Terrible service from the brown haired guy w facial hair. He took my order. Short, curt answers to normal questions and a dead facial expression made me feel unwelcome. I ordered cheeseburger extra pickles and my burger came with none. Friendly guy got me pickles. What a contrast. If the friendly server wasn't there, I would have left a way lower rating.

My partner introduced me to this restaurant on our first trip here together and we've made it a must to come every trip. Everything I've had here has been spectacular but my favorite dish is the mac and cheese with bacon. My second favorite is the brussel sprouts and the loaded baked potato pizza. The staff are always welcoming and attentive.

10069 Bridge St, TruckeeThis place was awesome! I stopped in for lunch after a half day of skiing and this was exactly what I was hoping for. Great beers and a huge selection, I particularly recommend the Contradiction Golden Mocha Stout.
The wagyu burger was amazing, nice crispy toasted bun, the aioli was very flavorful you could really taste it and it added a lot to the burger. Patty is good sized and best of all you can actually eat the thing without having to unhinge your jaw!
Service was great and the vibe of the place is really nice.
Definitely looking forward to coming back!
