Travis Main Exchange is the only AAFES in Northern California, located on Travis Air Force Base. Enhanced security vetting is required for visitors without a DOD ID. The store appears enlarged, with a larger sales space for appliances and TVs. It offers tax-free shopping with lots of items, including cosmetics, clothes, electronics, and housewares. The exchange is clean, well-stocked, and features many self-checkouts. It includes sections from brands like Home Depot and Ashley Furniture, making it great for big purchases. The store frequently has good sales and positive community events.
Overall a great BX, gets a star taken for the AT&T guys who loom in the back and are a bit too pushy for my taste.
