Always a good vibe at O'Neill Park. You'd never know you're 15 minutes from the urban sprawl amongst the oaks here. The grounds are well maintained given the heavy use and the facilities clean.Day use and overnight camping available...hook ups for RV's but mostly dry camp sites. Late night coyote sing alongs.Restrooms: Cleaned multiple times each day. If the park is busy be sure to bring your own toilet paper.Dog-friendliness: Lot's of dogs enjoying the outdoors along with their owners.

I stayed in the equestrian area spot 3. Loved the facilities and how clean they are kept. Love the stalls and the horse facilities they offer two large round pens and a large arena plus day use picnic areas. Horse waterers throughout. The campsites are large. Beautiful camp grounds. This park is top on my list! Lots to do. Hiking, horseback riding, and activities.Playground: I saw one play ground during my stayRestrooms: Clean and roomy scattered throughout the park.Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly lots of play room.Picnic area: Many, many areas to stop, rest, enjoy a meal with family and friends. Beautiful place.

This OC Park is awesome and amazing! It's clean, well maintained and provides a family environment for kids to play and explore in a safe manner.Something that we particularly enjoy is Storywalk that for the most part gets changes every 1-3 months. Kids love it and we as parents enjoy the lessons within each book which pertain not only to nature but also real things that little ones experience. O'Neill would be that much more awesome if there were trails that were dog friendly. This unfortunately has become a deterrent from visiting and hope in the future at least a couple of trails would be permitted.

The nail is a great place to bring your family not too far from the city if you hike up the creek to Holy Jim they stock it in the summertime brought my son up here several times throughout the summer and caught a few trout my son also loves coming up here he loves the wilderness and it's so close to home it's a wonderful place but remember what you bring with you bring home don't leave anything behind leave no Trace that way this Hidden Gem will last forever for generations and generations to see thank you

Great state park! Camping, hiking, enjoying nature! The nature center is cool! Campsites are decent size and all come with a picnic table and fire ring. They also sell firewood.

Very beautiful and quiet campground. Hiking trails everywhere. Nicely shaded and private large RV pull thru and regular spaces. Hard to believe this place is so close to the busy cityRestrooms: Restrooms and showers seemed to be kept very cleanDog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed in campground . On a leash at all times. Most of the hiking trails do not allow dogs so that the wildlife/nature won't be disturbed and thrown off by the dogs scent.

Nice campground with good amenities like restrooms and hot showers. Also dog friendly. Our only complaint is the proximity of the main road to the campground with constant loud motorcycle and car traffic. The noise pollution took away from the camping experience.

I went to today because I was in the area paying my respects to the slain couple of the mass shooting. I payed for day use which was $5 we stayed an hour or so then went to get snacks and came back. The the asian park ranger said it would be another $5. But he never told us this after purchasing it and it wasn't stated on the blue day pass. Also, we saw no posted signs. Completely unfair!!!

Gorgeous park with a lot of space for daily non-camping/picnic areas that are reservable, along with a nice selection of camping spots that, due to high demand, you will have to book far in advance if you want to snag one.Picnic area: Loved our spot. Grilled some kabobs, played some games, and had a great day.

Camping place close from Irvine. Could be cleaner. Every time I go, I find trash on the ground. They should be cleaned up before check in. Good to have bathrooms and a shower, plus water valve outside to clean hands or wash something

I love this place, one of my all-time favorite places, so please don't ruin it when you come and visit. The staff I awesome, Betty is the most AWESOME person ever and she works here at the front, she will help you with any questions you have. The park Ranger, the bigger guy with a beard, is also a really good dude, so DONT give them a hard time, be nice to them.MY PROBLEM is with the sheriff's department that comes in 3-4 a week driving in AT MIDNIGHT with their super bright lights on, and they seriously love to harass people, i wasnone of them, they even made some little kids cry. Nothing but a bunch of BULLIES!! I recorded all of it.If you live locally to this awesome place, then you should contact your city council and let them know that the sheriff's are violating citizens' rights without just cause and the fact that their wasting at least 3-4 hours a week of tax payers money to sit in their car at a campground.

My go-to getaway place for weekend. It’s in the mountain, but close to OC cities. Also if you need Starbucks or grocery all the sudden, then RSM Ralph’s and Target are in 15-mim driving distance. Park rangers are kind, facilities are well maintained, campground is clean. Only $20 for the night camping. Big trees create a nice shade for tent camping.
