Came here a few days ago for a work sandwich run and the only deli person working could not have been bothered to come work the counter. I spoke to store manager Lisa and she went back and told her customers are at the counter. The deli clerk still couldn't have been bothered, that was 10 sandwiches they lost out on. I went today, stood in line for a breakfast burrito only to be told she cannot get the oven warm enough. Went to talk to Lisa again who came back to the deli, stuck her hand in the oven and said she will try to do your burrito, apparently, we would have to leave it in longer the normal but that is fine. The deli clerk had none of the ingredients meaning I would then have to wait for the eggs to get scrambled and the sausage to cook. Preferring this as a breakfast rather than lunch, I gave up. Mental note: Never come here if you need anything out of the deli case.

Staff have been friendly. It's pricey so even though it's really close I barely go here. What I am not a fan of is their labeling of prices. Often it's buy 4 or more for the cheaper price shown more visibly. Tried to purchase an item and price was almost double the price at register so didn't get that. Also no cashiers early mornings only self checkout ????? Cheap.

I recently had the pleasure of being helped by Ashley W. at the Vons deli, her exceptional customer service truly made my day. From the moment I approached the counter, Ashley greeted me with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. Not only was she incredibly friendly, but she also took the time to patiently assist me. Ashley's positive attitude and professionalism were evident throughout the entire interaction. She listened attentively to my preferences and offered helpful recommendations, ensuring that I left completely satisfied with my order. The service you get from the Von's employees in this store is good. Their prices are a little high. The one thing that could be improved is the store itself, it is about time it was upgraded. The only thing that I found negative is they need better restrooms for customers. Their present customer restrooms are in a store room and they are not in great condition.

This is the worst Vons I've ever been to. At the deli stand, Martha shows complete disrespect to the customers as if she likes to shout at us. I can't believe she would be harsh to us like this. Also, the restrooms are poorly remodeled. Why would the handicap bathroom be further back instead of closer to the front door. Both bathrooms were okay as both were wheelchair accessible. Why would the remodel leave us with a regular bathroom and only one HCA stall?! This is discrimination for those who are disabled. Having the HCA restroom further back whilst the regular bathroom is closer to the double doors. The layout before the 2021 remodel was okay.

Everything is subpar. Don't know what happened to this chain's (including Albertsons) but it's been horrible! Artichokes old. Tomatoes when cut have a white ring like they were frozen. Corn not fresh. Eggplant soft and bruised. What remains consistent is the meat and seafood. But the things they advertise are not in the store...a lot!!! For the most part, employees are great unless complaining about work in front of customers. i'm

I just wanted to give a shout out to Louis in the meat department. I tend to come in when he has everything wrapped up but as I approach he goes out of his way to ask what I would like despite about to be done with his shift. Extremely friendly and hospitable. Thanks Louis!! My dog enjoyed the chicken breast tonight. He saved the day since she wasn't feeling well and I didn't want to buy a whole package of chicken. Keep up the good work!! Much appreciated!

So I was in the meat department today and one of the guys was not friendly, very rude, and I will only come back to Vons to the meat department when Tyler is working because he seems to be the nicest guy and he always goes out of his way to help me in the meat department, so I think he needs to be acknowledged for what a great employee he is and maybe I'll go to the corporate Vons so that he will be acknowledged because my experience today with another guy other than Tyler was rudeness. I will only come back there when Tyler is working in the meet department .

Customer service has fallen by the wayside. Very stoic and unhelpful checkers. Selections are very basic. Surprised to see stockman outside slowly stacking waters while no carts outside...

My shopping experience at Vons left much to be desired, warranting a two-star rating. While the store had a decent selection of products, the overall atmosphere felt somewhat uninspiring and cluttered. The prices were higher compared to other grocery stores in the area, making it less budget-friendly. Additionally, the customer service was subpar; the staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful. The checkout process was slow, with long lines. Vons fell short in terms of both affordability and customer experience, leaving me less inclined to shop there in the future.

I go to this Vons at Torrance Blvd very often late at night after work to buy a couple of things that I run out. Always everything was fine until tonight that I got a very sad and uncomfortable experience with employee/ cashier " Evelyn" she was unbelievable rude! This is what happened, I needed help with self register so because she was close I asked her "excuse, me can you help me? I thought that she didn't hear so I asked again in a very normal way when out of the blue she turned around I told me with a huge attitude and loud voice PLEASE So I looked at her with surprise thinking what's going on???? I was not un respectful at all I didn't meant anything wrong so well I said to myself it's late so I will say "please" like she was demanding so I did when instead of at that moment be cordial she looked at me with a huge attitude eyes and said uhm!!!! ..... Omg!!! I couldn't believe what was going on??? I fell so aggravated that I said "you are very rude" and what she did after? She left without helping the customer saying " I am not going to help you! ......do you believe that??? Really, really I was in shock! I think it is very sad that employees like this lady mess up the rest because I see every night that I go to this store all the rest of the employees working very hard. Plus as a consequence of it, this the store Vons is having a negative review. Sorry but people like this lady can't work with customers at all. I hope she change or quit.

The good: I normally shop at Walmart or Costco but decided to come by Vons, a grocery store I've rarely been to and am not familiar with because we don't have these in NorCal area where I'm from. It feels similar to Safeway but not as nice. I was able to find almost all of the things I had on my list here including a variety of mangos and a variety of kiwis. They had multiple options between regular and organic kiwis too which I thought was great. The bad: The produce aisle area isn't as spacious as some other grocery stores. The interesting: I think Safeway and Vons are sister-companies.

check out night-mare. I get into line with one person ahead of me.. He is buying one box of butter (4 sticks). he is fiddling with his phone trying to get the Vons APP to work. I unload my cart and in my goods are 2 containers of already soft ice cream. Their freezer was set too high. all the containers were soft. so, I'm waiting about 2 to 3 minutes watching the ice cream melting on the conveyor belt. I ask the cashier if I should get into another line. She ignored me. The cashier.then took the phone from the butter customer and started punching in numbers. She couldn't get it to work either. Between the 2 of them, they played with the phone for another 3 minutes. I spoke up telling them this is ridiculous and that I can't be waiting for them to fix his phone. Her comment was I'm helping another customer so what would you like me to do. I told her that he needs to go to customer service to figure it out. She told me I can go to another line if I want. I told her to get on with it. they fiddled for another 2 minutes with her movements being slowed down. I loaded my items back into the cart and went to another line. Bad management! Bad Attitude! gross union mentality.

This place is getting 5 stars because of Norby!! Every time my family comes in to grocery shop, we see him, say "Hi" and just have a good smile and day. His attitude is the beer I have ever seen and works soooo hard! Norby, you are the man!
