“Monarch Ballroom is probably the most beautiful dance studio and event space in LA County with really amazing teachers! Their Beginner Ballroom Class on Mondays and Beginner Rhythm on Tuesdays are just great! You could learn different variety of moves at any dance you like (cha-cha, waltz, rumba, foxtrot). And the instructors Max and Eduard are super fun and knowledgeable!! Plus all the people at the studio are so nice and warm! You always feel like home away from home!”

“Went to see a performance of the musical. Kinky Boots. Beautiful theater , easy access, and plenty of parking. Comfortable seating, nice bathrooms, and Torrance brought a great audience.. Live orchestra, talented actors and and all-around great show. My only critique is that it should have 10 minutes shorter. Other than that, I absolutely loved it.”

“We saw a wonderful Japanese drumming show, from very young beginners exhibiting what they have learned to numerous other groups that were so talented and entertaining. If they have this next year we will definitely attend.”

“Went to a taste testing and menu selection for my event in February. The room was beautifully decorated, elegant, and spacious. The food we sampled was to-die-for. We tasted the sliced roast beef, a baked chicken sliced in strips and another type of chicken, teriyaki salmon and a specially seasoned mashed potato and rice. All the food was excellent, but I could only pick two meats. I know my guests will love the choices. The facility is beautiful.”

“As always, the afternoon tea service at Chado was delightful! There were 2 large parties there and we were still given excellent service. In addition to the tea service, we ordered the Waldorf salad and it was delicious. Rather than a stuffy traditional English tea house, Chado is modern and comfortable and a perfect zen atmosphere. Highly recommend!”

“Celebrated my sons 15th birthday with some of his soccer team mates. The boys had a blast and the food was really good. I don't know who they have in the kitchen cooking the chicken tenders but they are fire. The seasoning seems like a southern recipe, please don't change it!!! The service was great and staff was friendly, I like that the kids can play other games and arcades after bowling. My niece and mom took advantage of the opportunity to have fun. The only thing I didn't like was during the party some ignorant kid kept walking past our section appearing to try to take food from my section. I had to do a whole stare down...I thought things were about to get ugly. But that death stare had him shook. Overall good experience. I'll be back.”

“Rooms are lovely, super spacious. Great included amenities: mini fridge, big bathrooms, mini bar, ice machine in hallway. Service was solid. Decent restaurant, snacks for purchase in lobby. Room key access needed for elevators. There's not much to do in this location for tourists, so be careful. This hotel is best for business travelers, or those coming for an NFL game, or people visiting the South Bay (Hermosa, Manhattan, Palos Verdes etc), or people splitting time between Orange County sites/events (Disneyland etc) and Los Angeles. For the typical L.A. tourists visiting sites/events in Hollywood, The Valley, Pasadena, Downtown LA etc., this hotel is very, very far from that action. So check your itinerary before booking, unless you want to spend hours in vehicles.”

“The hotel was clean but dated for alot of things in the room. It was great having a kitchen though for being there a while for work. The front desk was great to help when we had hotels website issues. The pools heater was broken the entire time which sucked because it was chilly when we were there but the hot tub was hot. Will be staying here again.Rooms: The furniture was dated, the couch has Rios and such. The desk chair if you leaned back at all would also go completely backward and was uncomfortable.Noteworthy details: It was great to finish the night around a fire place outdoors.”
