I was with US Bank for several years no problems till now. I sent a check to pay for HOA fees, the check was cashed and never made it to the HOA, the check had no endorsement and was still cashed I don't know how that could have happened but I assume an inside job??? US Bank told me to report to the fraud dept which I did, now they are telling me I should wait up to 90 days for this to settle??? What the heck they lost my money and I have to wait 90days to pay my bill? This is beyond words how can I get treated this way when its no fault of mine? After this is done I will no longer bank with them, this is not right!!!!!

Let me first start by saying I was a loyal customer at Union Bank for 35 years before US Bank bought them out and had no complaints with Union. This review is not directed at any one person but the company as a whole.I have spoken with several people at US Bank in the 6-9 months since they have taken over Union Bank and Kenberly at the Hermosa Beach branch is the only reason I have continued to stay with this bank. She is amazing , thoughtful , and I will only be speaking with her in the future. I'm not sure if the systems are too complicated for the other employees or they are just not trained properly but with each of the other 6-8 people I have spoken with it has been an absolute nightmare. My hopes is that someone in management that actually cares about keeping customers will read this review and maybe even listen to one of the taped recorded calls to see what is going on.I think if they did it would make the hair on the back of their neck stand straight up. This is just one of the nightmares. Yesterday I was helping my son, who was wanting to transfer a few thousand dollars from his savings to his checking account, as he just opened up a new account. The lady we spoke with on the phone said she would help us.When we told her what we wanted to do she said no problem. When she read off the account number we did not recognize the account number she was saying so we corrected her on which account is was being transferred from and which it was being transferred to. She said she understood and said she made the transfer. We asked can we see it online on our end and she said yes. When we logged out and logged back in , we could see that the money was taken out of the account but not put back into the checking account. The lady helping us said she did not know where the money went and she would get her manager on the phone. After waiting over 30 minutes the original lady came back on the phone and said she was sorry but she could not help us.As you can imagine this freaked my son out as he is new to banking. He thought he just two thousand dollars of his hard earned money. She said we would have to call another number. The next day we called that number and they too said they did not know where the lady transferred the money to.They transferred us to another person, who put us on hold 5-6 different times. At this point we were on the phone for well over an hour, when they came back on the phone and said we would have to speak with another banker. We told her we have already spoken with a banker and they said we needed to speak with someone in a different department. Finally they got the banker on the phone and said , we need to put you on hold again. This time , we were disconnented. ( By the way,I have been "disconnected" several times in the past 6-9 months with US Bank) Again we called back and spoke with someone else who had no idea what we were talking about.Five minutes later the guy who disconnected us did call us back and after a bit more time said we can't do anything on Saturday and we would need to call back on Monday. At this point we have over 2 hours invested over the past two days talking with many different people who are lost and all we wanted to do was transfer funds from a savings account into a checking account. I think the part employees don't get is ,were mad we have wasted two hours.Like I say I will only be calling Kenberly from now on because the other people I have spoken to have wasted hours of my time.Management please get involved and train people properly or else sell it back to Union Bank. I could never refer a friend or client to your bank and I see by all the one stars I am not alone in this thinking.

I have been a customer at us bank for 2 years with no issues. UNTIL 2 months ago. I have never did any banking at this branch ever, however the branch manager took it upon himself to lock me out of my account , my online account, and freeze all my money, I couldn't even withdraw my money. And customer service, branch manager from another branch couldn't help me. I must have talked to them 25 times trying to find out why. And who to contact, not one correspondence or notification from anyone explaining why, or talking to me giving me a chance to clear it up or anything! I just received a letter from t he branch manager at this branch after 2 months, and it says they are closing my account for unusual activity period! And will mail me a cashiers check in 10 days! All the while holding my money from me. I nearly lost my apartment, had to borrow from friends and family. It's only $3000 but that was for my rent. I had just had my work check direct deposited didn't get to spend a dime of it and they shut me down. I travel all over the country, so I'm doing a transaction here one day and new York the next day. For example. They did catch someone trying to fraud my account and they called me immediately, so I had to get a new debit card, and I had it shipped to the bank where I wad working twice but it didn't arrive in time for me to leave for my next job. They would tell me oh yeah ill have it rushed be here in 3 days, and it never was. So if that is the unusual activity they are talk I g about, then they should have called me or sent me a letter so I could explain. You don't just take people's money. These guys at this branch arethrives, they took my money and i have yet to receive a cashiers check. My lawyer is getting involved now, you will wish you paydd me my 3000 dollars because your going to pay a whole lot more in the end. Thank you,

This bank is terrible. I opened the account on line and then called to confirm all the information and make an appointment to go in and do some paperwork. The person I was talking to wanted to confirm who I was, ok. The problem was they were trying to confirm me with information that was not on the application. She asked me my mother maiden name. I told her that information was not on the application and she immediately told me that she could go no further because she couldn't verify who I was. I asked her why she was trying to verify me with information not asked on the application, no answer. She told me I would have to go into a branch. I called the next day and spoke to a woman who verified me with my address, BIG RED FLAGS!! I asked her why she was using information that was, at least, five years old and from when I lived in another state? She said that's the information their computer had generated. I told her that information was old, the city was incorrect and would need to be changed. She informs me that she can't change it and I'll have to go into a branch. The next day I go into this branch. Talk about R-U-D-E! There was one woman sitting at a desk. She proceeded to ignore me while she walked over to another customer and talk about his daughter and how was his vacation. I had been standing there waiting while she finished up with the person she was helping. She decides to keep ignoring me and sit back down in her chair, then realizes that I'm no going away. Once she decides to help me, I explain the situation to her regarding the address and the other issue. She says she can't change my address because they have to use the information given to them when the account is opened. Ok, but that was not the address I gave them and that address is five years old. Bottom line, ANYONE associated with this bank refuses to help me. Before I leave, I ask her if she's sure about all this because I have a $3000 check in my wallet that I want to deposit. She refuses to help me. I leave. Within 30 minutes I get a call from a bank manager from another branch. I explain to her the situation and everything I have been dealing with. I explain to her that my $3000 deposit was turned down by the other woman and all I see are a lot of red flags regarding how they open accounts. I tell her this is not the way to start financial relationship, but thanks for calling. To this day, I am still getting emails and snail mail from this bank asking me when I'm going to be making my deposit, giving me information about their checking account, blah, blah, blah. No thank you. **In response to your comment, what I would like is for you to leave me alone. Obviously, I dont wish to do business with your bank. STOP EMAILING, SNAIL MAILING AND CALLING ME. You are being dismissed. Take the hint.

I went to this bank to cash a cashiers check, but since I wasn't an account holder with their bank, they wouldn't cash it. Even though I had all of the proper ID and being a cashiers check, they already had the money it was like being treated as a second class person, unless I opened an account with them.

I have been a US Bank customer for almost 18 months after switching from Bank of AmericaI just love this branch and its staff. They are all so polite and helpful. Anytime I have a question or need any help, they are incredibly accommodating. Far cry from what I experienced at BofA!Great job US Bank!!!

US BANK is the worst bank I've ever been to. Rude, condescending and won't even let me fill out a beneficiary form unless I make an appointment even though I'm here right now so I asked withdraw all my money and now they're saying they have a printer issue and can't give me a cashiers check. When I asked the teller Vanessa why she can't print she said LIKE I SAID, the printer isn't working. So basically I've been here about 15 minutes and the reason why I'm withdrawing my money is because they won't let me fill out a beneficiary form without an appointment which is ridiculous because no one is even in this bank. It would've been faster to let me fill out the form. I should've known better when I first initially set up this account as I came in with a check to open an account and Mike Esqivel gave me an attitude and told me I had to come back later to deposit it and make an appointment. There was no one in the bank. Any bank I've ever been to where I wanted to set up an account I could do so right at that moment. i waited about four hours for my appointment and still no one was in the bank then when I came back. Today, the manager on duty hasn't even acknowledged us or apologized for the problem. DO NOT BANK HERE.

I had a virtual appointment at 11:45 am today6/16/21, with Pablo who is supposed to be the branch manager. He never showed up. I called the bank and they messaged him. 30 minutes later, a guy named Mike calls and says you had an appointment, did you know that? I was so mad. I told him don't pretend like I forgot the appointment. You guys are the ones who didn't show up. At least be honest enough to apologize! You are a banker after all. Isn't honesty in your job description?!

Avoid at all costs, they butchered my car loan and repeatedly asked me to come in to sign pieces of paperwork they "forgot" about, even while I let them know I'd be at work, and/or abroad for a few months. They forgot to ask me to bring my car title as well, which was an extra trip, and now need yet another signature, which means I have to take work off or change my schedule to get there. They also skipped my scheduled phone appointment, wouldn't pick up if I called during business hours, and finally called me back when it would be impossible to pickup for my timezone (as I'd firmly told them prior to leaving).Based on my experience speaking with Pablo, I'm closing my bank account with them as soon as I can, and will never do business with them again after paying off this loan.

I was in the bank today and they are not enforcing the mask mandate. There were two (masked) tellers and a line to the door. Three customers were not wearing a mask. No employees spoke up and they were allowed to wait in line, and wait in the waiting area indoors all without masks and the doors closed. Per the county, masks are now required in all indoor public places in Los Angeles County and it's up to us in the community to be diligent. I won't be returning.

I got a car loan from US Bank, 3 days after I paid off thy loan I needed a lien satisfaction/lien release letter to trade in my car. I was not sure if enough time had elapsed to get a letter but having smashed car I needed help. I politely asked young lady sitting in one of the consultation booths for help. She directed me to the long line for the single teller. It seemed she was busy with a cell phone in her lap. I finally convinced her to help me and she told me there was no such thing as a lien satisfaction letter and I had to wait 10 to 14 days for the car title to be mailed to me. I assured her there was such a thing and she got on the phone with someone and again said I was wrong. If US Bank cannot perform basic banking functions why do we have brick and mortar buildings with unhelpful, uninformed people?.
