He then replaced my rotors, ran an oil change(at my request), and checked my car all at a very reasonable price and under 2 hours! They showed me the line with the vehicle up on the lift, explained the repair, luckily had the specialty gasket in stock, and did the repair while I waited. My car:
2016 Mustang Ecoboost (6 Speed automatic) AAMCO had explained how complicated these transmissions are, since it’s based on a design from Germany. I’m no mechanic, but a lot of people didn’t want to touch it. Jimmy knew about my transmission and explained it to me exactly, without me ever bringing it up to him. So I knew he was credible.
The problem:
Slippage in the shifting of gears, especially in “Sport Mode”
Felt like I had serious transmissions problems…
The solution:
Standard transmission fluid change. He explained there were no major or minor problems, a little bit of metal found in the fluid, and showed me why. After that he just changed the fluids, and sent me on my way. No unexpected charges, no upselling. And he is very reasonably priced.
Been over 2 years, haven’t had any problems. I drive my car in sport mode, very often. Love it!
