“Best decision I've ever made for my son. I did a lot research before enrolling him. Sing in Chinese is the only one fits all my needs. All the teachers are nice, friendly and patient. He made great progress in mandarin. I’d like to recommend Sing to all the parents who live in this area.”

“My granddaughter goes to this DayCare. We have not had any issues. Actually only issue is they keep asking for diapers and wipes when we've given them packs of them two weeks prior. But if you keep track like we do all you have to do is remind them. Teachers are great and our baby seems to love them which is important.”

“As a student Adult at Torrance School, I have U.S. History and English 4A and AE Economics classes for my High school diploma. Dr. Estes Hilary has been helping me. She is a great teacher, the best!! The office staff is always willing to help and give you as much information as you need, To guide you on your needs! My plans for the future at this school are to continue studying and get my high school Diploma and take the class Child Development 103.”

“Hidden gem of North Torrance. Affordable, God-centered, clean, and patient staff. We've gone from many fancy preschools in the beach cities to here and have been the happiest here. Feels like we're finally getting our tuition's worth. The staff is loving, patient, and low-key, at least under the direction of Shireen the director. Both of my kids have flourished here. Small class size for the youngest class , additional add-ins such as soccer, ballet, ninja class, etc., lots of picture days, holiday celebrations, parent involvement, weekly chapel, the works. All for half the price tag of the aforementioned fancy schools (both daycare centers and home daycares). AFAIK, there is a weekly curriculum that's sent to parents through Brightwheel app that is followed. My kids are on pace to be kinder ready. And menus for the daily lunches that's included. The teachers all have been there for many many years so it feels like a family/community. They're also the after school care option for Yukon Elementary next door.”

“If I can protect my kids and delay some of the things school children are exposed to nowadays, I will try. This school still teaches values and faith. It's a great community of families, solid academics, wonderful faculty and caring administrators. We couldn't ask for more. The campus could definitely use some repaint and refreshing, but for the tuition costs vs the level of academics, it's a great deal. The academic grading scale in junior high is a bit high and academics are rigorous and some do struggle, but it's great preparation for high school. They also incorporate various opportunities for students to volunteer for both the school and community and provide activities to encourage leadership and mentoring skills. I would say "don't judge a book by it's cover". It's worth checking out.”

“The absolute best pre-school. The teachers are all so warm and caring and our daughters are always so happy here. They do so many fun events for the kids, every holiday, and they learn so much while having the best time. Couldn't be happier with Southwood. I wish my kids could stay here forever.”

“My son has been going to leap and bound for almost 2 years. My daughter too did her pre-schooling here. We were so happy and satisfied with all the teachers that we didn't think of any other pre-school for my son. All the teachers here are caring and friendly. My son was little shy in the beginning. Later on, he made many friends and comes back home with a big smile. He always says "mommy, I had a blast " My son didn't know how to write when he joined the school. Ms.Mitra taught him so well that he learned to write letters and numbers. Ms. Mitra gives motherly love to kids and is very warm, cheerful and caring with kids. Ms. Mary is friendly, understanding and gives good education to kids. My son learned to read and write words in a short period. He is currently in Ms Inoka's class and we are very satisfied with her. She makes sure that kids eat right. She is caring, patient and pay very good attention to kids. I was surprised how my son is now able to read and write sentences and learned complex additions and subtractions. She gives us update about how my kid is doing academically and socially. Ms Inoka makes kids ready for to go to kindergarten. The best part of the school is the STEM curriculum. My son always looks forward for the class that is taught twice a week. He brings home new interesting projects and surprises me with his explanation of the projects. Mr. Hunter and Ms.Jane are his favorite teachers. Leap and bound keeps posting pictures of kids activities and send us reminders and updates about upcoming events. All the teachers are approachable if you have any questions and concerns about kids. We are thankful for all the teachers and services provided by the school and I highly recommend everyone.”

“I love hickory tree, my son has learned so much. The teachers are caring and come up with fun art projects and activities. Mrs Rosie and Ms Brenda are great and truly care about the kids. My child went in not really grasping vocabulary and now he's speaking very clearly and expresses his happiness with words. Overall a great school.”

“FLS has been such an awesome school for my kids (and to me as an alumni). I loved it so much as a student that I came back and did my student teaching hours here as I prepared to become a teacher and then as soon as I got pregnant, sending my kids here was the easiest choice I had to make. The new administration is so welcoming and very approachable. The office ladies are so helpful and always have a smile on their faces. My kids love their teachers, feel safe, are are getting the education they need to be life long learners. The teachers are helping to build their foundation of an awesome education. In my opinion, the FLS is an AMAZING school!!!”

“This is a long overdue review. First & foremost, I am 100% the kind of parent that does not trust her kids with anyone, even some family. I was skeptical about putting my daughter in any daycare. However, my hours changed at work & it would now require me to now seek a daycare for my daughter. As soon as we saw the facility, I was pleased (although I wasn't ready to admit it LOL). One thing about me is I'm very observant & skeptical. I was pretty much "looking" for a reason to not put my daughter in daycare lol As I was touring the facility, I wasn't solely weighing in on what the teachers & owner were telling me; I was weighing in on seeing how happy the children were, how engaged they were, & how everything was structured - playtime, lunch time, naptime, crafts, what they are learning, etc. My daughter just turned 2 at the time, & prior to that, she had been with me everyday, so this transition was really difficult for both of us. But, as parents, we need to do what we have to do. I decided to enroll her. As expected, she cried for the first few weeks upon drop off. But with how compassionate & attentive the staff was, she would be okay shortly after. The teachers & Ms Sheela would send me photos of her playing with the other kids, which was so helpful as I, too, was in this transition of my child being in a daycare. It gave me so much comfort & put my mind at ease. My daughter is now 3, & not only am i impressed with how well she talks, draws, & knows; but she is also writing letters & her name. Her motor skills are so impressive, & I'm always told by other moms & her doctors that she speaks so well. I did read some of the negative reviews, & although I can't speak for them - as a person who was "looking" for reasons to not put my child in daycare - FKLA has definitely earned my trust, as a mom. And THAT is quite difficult to do. I've even had my friends children start going here, because as moms, it's hard to trust your children with anyone. My friends love this facility & are also so grateful for FKLA. Bottom line - they have been patient, compassionate, kind, loving, & nourishing with my daughter. They have been patient, kind, & assuring the entire way with me, as a mom. It would be difficult to trust another facility again, after our experience here”

“This review is a bit overdue so I'll start with that my daughter was there for three years before currently moving on to her elm school TK, during the pandemic (2019-2022) so she left almost a year ago but I will say we loved this place. Angela and her staff were wonderful, accommodating and welcomed us with smiling faces when we came in. One thing we really loved was the flexibility of being able to take her out for a week and just pay half tuition or also the ability to use Bright Horizons (if you have it from work). For the money you get a great deal on this place, my daughter loved her teachers and learned a lot. She even made friends there that we still keep in touch with a year later. If I had another kid it would be a no brainer to enroll here.”
