HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. The places has a type of odor that just isn't too fond. The service is horrible. My grandma was the first client here and all she wanted was a hair color and highlights. It took 20 mins for her to even start on her hair because she was distracted on the phone calling . By the time she colored my grandma hair she said 20-30 mins to let it settle. Another customer came in and she instantly started on this new customer.It's took almost an hour before she came back to my grandma and washed the dye out her hair. Now we are done washing and now she is highlighting. 2 more customers came in and she instantly got them started while we were still waiting. Just slow and inattentive. She kept answering calls and talking and tending to other customers. In total we were here for 3hr23mins . It's a waste of time and money DO NOT GO HERE.

Maria has lost her magic !!! I went to her twice in one week & the 2nd time was no better than the first time. I'm disappointed in her performance in cutting hair as I know she knows better. My cut is so off balance, uneven with no meaning to the cut. Lately each visit has not been a consistent cut I have been her customer for over 15 years. Seriously time to look for another hair professional as Maria show zero interest in satisfying my hair cutting needs.

Came here for a trim and hair treatment and my hair has never felt better. Maria is really sweet and talented at her job, asked for an inch cut off and that's exactly what I got. Compared to other salons, very affordable. Call in advance.

Highly recommend! She did well on my hair. Will come back every 3 months for a trim. Thanks Maria! Also, advise you guys call her first to make sure you're not waiting.

Let's do this again! I left a before and after picture and the yelp has decided to post the "before" picture in the front page! Yikes! My initial review was that this place is a legit salon for straightening crazy curly hair! The owner has such a positive energy and amazing skills in handling your hair. This is place by far exceeded my expectations!

Maria has a habit of not listening to directions. She will just cut away & sometimes to no style. I've been a customer for over 15 yrs & for over 15 yrs she does the same thing, cut without following directions . For the most part she does a decent cut, but most of the time not balanced. This time she really did it ! I Hate My Hair Cut ! I asked for a trim & she cuts it Extremely Short with NO Style ! Why ???

I agree with the other comments. If you want a specific length you have to tell her to cut just one inch or else she'll cut about 6 inches of your hair! I came in with a picture and specific hairstyle that I wanted. And I came out with the complete opposite hairstyle that I originally wanted. She's very nice and easy to talk to. But her problem is she doesn't consider what hairstyle you want. She wants to add a touch of what SHE wants. I'll be taking hair vitamins now to grow out my hair.

Maria. Just. Maria. My new go to hair stylist. Just. YES. What I enjoyed most about my experience at Royal Hair & Nail Salon was the ample and engaging conversation by both Maria and even her own customers! At first, Maria may seem high-strung, however upon getting to know her, I found that she was a kind and loving woman with a daughter that loves her enough to keep calling her in the middle of a hair cut! But worry not, she is still VERY on point with her abilities to cut hair! I love how she openly admits that people over charge customers for a mediocre hair cut done by a sub-par "professional". However, Maria takes mediocrity and shoves it far up their rear ends! She KNOWS what's good! Keep it up, Maria! Support this salon! She's the only one that works there!!

I walked In in this salon with my hair long and asked her to cut an inch and she cut like 5 inches and more.Maria is sweet but I just wish she listens to her customers.I liked how she did my layers it gave my hair more volume even if my hair is way shorter now.I feel bad that I recommended my friend here Andrea and it's weird that she didn't do any kind of layers with her like what she did on mine.

Walked in with long hair. Asked for long layers with a cut of about 2-3 inches and walked out with thinned out, choppy front layers, and hair above my bra line. Maria was very sweet but didn't give me the cut I asked for. Lucky for me my hair grows fairly fast. My suggestion: Be very firm on length and cut that you want(and I do regret not voicing my opinion before leaving the shop bc I figured oh well it will grow back and it does feel healthier). Otherwise, you may walk out with a different style.
