Great BJJ dojo/gym especially for beginners and kids. Top level instructors and instructions. Rodrigo, his family wife and daughter and team of instructors are friendly, intelligent and teaches from their vast experience and heart. In addition to their kindness, their instructions is top notch in the industry. I know a lot of people might complain about the cost and I agree that it can be a little cheaper but this is a guy that won several championships K1, Pride fighting and etc. Most gyms main instructors don't even show up but Rodrigo and his wife and daughter is there. This dojo really provides great base for self defense as well as those who wants to compete.

Our boys have been doing here for six months now and we love Rodrigo and his staff. They are wonderful with kids of all ages and do a great job with demonstrations and making sure everybody understands concepts so that nobody gets left behind. There are also plenty of fun and games. Can't recommend Rodrigo and his team enough!

I signed my daughter up at age 4 and wasn't sure what to expect but have grown to greatly appreciate the lessons taught. All of the instructos are very patient, especially at the start when she was shy. Everyone was willing to work with her as she became more and more comfortable and confident. We are moving away and will greatly miss the instructors. Hopefully we will find someone that lives up to the standards set by this team.

Everything in world has a range of the highest quality all the way to the lowest. Without a doubt, Rodrigo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is the highest caliber BJJ school. Rodrigo Gracie is a legendary instructor and BJJ fighter; his name is among the giants of the martial arts world. There is a reason why police departments, military, special forces all over the world have requested Master Rodrigo to teach them. The fact that he also teaches the children's classes PERSONALLY and does community outreach with local Girl Scouts and self-defense seminars for high school girls lets you know what kind of man he is and what values the school adheres to. If you are looking for the BEST, this is where it is. Plain and simple. Even to the smallest details of the training Gi's and rash guards, everything is crafted with the highest quality. If you do not care about the quality of instruction, cleanliness of facilities, values/culture of the school then you can go pick anywhere. If you are someone who cares about you and your family experiencing the very best then this is the place for you. When you pay for a 5 star hotel you get a 5 star experience; when you pay for a 1 star hotel you get commensurate experience.

I visited 3 other big named jiu jitsu schools, including Gracie University, before I walked into this place and let me tell you that right away I knew this place was special. The school is immaculately clean. Very spacious. It offers kids programs for bully prevention. Everyone here is incredibly kind and friendly. The members all considered themselves a growing community of jiu jitsu practitioners. They're very much like a family. Personally, the best part for me is that I'm being trained by Rodrigo Gracie himself. A former PRIDE CHAMPION. Winner of the first ADCC tournament and a 6th degree black belt. And for the price, you can't find a place like this anywhere else. So, if you're looking for a great place with clean mats, great programs and friendly people then this is the perfect place. I recommend visiting the website and scheduling a free trial class. The coaches are very helpful and knowledgeable. Give it a shot, I promise you won't regret it.

I first trained with Rodrigo back in the 90s when he moved to New York. I trained with him for about 8 years, traveling into Manhattan to take his class and then to long Island when he was out there. I been doing BJJ since 1995, been a black belt since 2004 and have been lucky to have trained with so many top names and legends in the art of Brazilian Jiu jitsu. Rodrigo is at the top of this list! His knowledge and skill are among the most elite in the world, that goes without saying but he is a genuinely great guy as well. Humble, friendly and truly cares about seeing you progress in BJJ. I owe a whole lot of my development to Rodrigo. If you are looking for one of the best instructors/ grapplers in the the world, who also happens to be an incredibly nice guy, look no farther. I wish Rodrigo was closer to me, I'd still be taking classes with him when not teaching my own.Rob KahnGracie Tampa

I was introduced to Rodrigo Gracie Jujitsu from a friend of mine when I moved from Chicago 2 years ago and it was a life changing and best decision I have made in my life. The brotherhood and instruction that Master Rodrigo provides is unmatched. I was welcomed by everyone including Master Rodrigo and felt like I belonged to the brotherhood immediately. The training and technique learned from Master Rodrigo is second to none and he has personally worked with me to make me better. The group of brothers that train there are amazing as well they constantly are looking to make me better and have helped me tremendously. If anyone is looking to train Jujitsu you don’t have to look anywhere else. Rodrigo Gracie Jujitsu is the truly the best . It is my favorite nights of the week when I get to train !

When you enroll at Rodrigo Gracie academy you enter a world that where you will not only learn how to practice Brazilian Ju Jitsu but get the benefit of self confidence, family, self respect, leadership bond, and ongoing training from one of the top black belt in the world Professor Rodrigo Gracie.I have been training with professor Rodrigo Gracie for past five years and I got my two boys training as well. I can't imagine myself not being part of this amazing family.

I have been training with Professor Rodrigo and his team for about three years now. It can be very intimidating and/or scary walking into a new BJJ/MMA gym as an outsider or even coming from a different gym. Professor Rodrigo and his team nixed that theory right away as they all welcomed me with open arms and treated me like a brother right from the start. The facility is remarkable and extremely clean. Cleanliness is something that is taken very seriously even pre-COVID as the mats are swept and mopped at least twice a day. Professor Rodrigo teaches every class and does a phenomenal job covering all aspects of true Gracie Jiu Jitsu. He goes over standup, takedowns, striking, and of course the ground game. His kids program is also top-notch and he teaches a bully response course which teaches kids how to de-escalate the situation and seek out adult intervention before using Jiu Jitsu as a last resort. There are many gyms in the area, but to have an experienced professional MMA fighter and a member of the Gracie family as the main instructor who is always available and takes the time to ensure the techniques are being learned properly, is something not to be taken for granted. He is very humble and his classes are not only engaging and fun, they have the highest standards of discipline as well. It’s cliché but very true in this instance, this IS the place to train in South Bay, California.

Both of my sons go to Rodrigo Gracie academy and I couldn’t be happier. They feel more confident and happy. He is a great role model and has the most patients with the kids. The studio is impeccably clean and that is very important to me. I have referred friends and intend to refer more.

I have really enjoyed my couple of years of training at Rodrigo Gracie Jiu-jitsu. The other students are a great community of people who are very willing to help you learn. What stands out to me the most in my time here is that 1) Rodrigo, as a competitor in multiple combat sport formats, brings with him world class and varied experiences. Some schools focus on sport Jiu-jitsu, others self-defense. Rodrigo knows it all and has put it into practice in world class competitions and can teach techniques from multiple angles. His personal experiences are woven in to help explain why the details matter so much, in what he is teaching. 2) Rodrigo teaches. This is NOT a school he has just lent his name to. He teaches all of the classes. He isn’t a surprise guest instructor that you may see a couple times a year. He is actively instructing every class. He knows his students and takes a personal interest in helping you progress. It will be hard to find a school with a better instructor, a better environment or a more constructive community to train with.

Both my daughters train here with Professor Rodrigo. It gives me peace of mind that they learn self-defense from one of the best in the world and that they are surrounded by a great group of students and parents. They've learned more than jiu-jutsu; they've learned discipline and self-confidence. I'm so happy that my friends introduced me to Rodrigo BJJ and I've recommended the school to even more friends!

My elementary school aged daughter has been taking classes here for a little over 2 years. They are great in keeping the kids attention and making it a lot of fun. They emphasize anti bullying and self defense and being well behaved kids overall, which as a mom, I love. Kids are given guidance on how to de-escalate situations and get help from parents/teacher/other trusted adults, in addition to learning Jiu-jitsu. Each belt promotion test is usually accompanied by a report card filled out by the parents on things like eating healthy, good grades, being respectful and obedient to parents and teachers, and being a good sibling, so these things can also be reinforced at the school. Their schedule of classes is really flexible with classes for kids after school and Saturday morning. Sunday is the only day they historically weren't open (pre pandemic). Because we can go to class any day we choose it really fits into our schedule conveniently.
