We had one in West LA/Santa Monica area and I miss it. This is a great sporting goods store for kids getting into sports and parents not wanting to spend a crazy amount of money if the kids don't stick to it. It's also a great place to look for last minute gear. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Found some goalie skates for my son to use during hockey camp that worked well on the ice and my wallet.

I used to go to the "old" Play it Again Sports shop many years ago when I was playing roller hockey. I was introduced to the "new" Play it Again shop a few years ago. I'm glad we found this place. Not only are there a lot of things to shop for, but the owner Larry is also a great guy. Down to earth, and really interested in helping you to walk out happy with your purchase. Ryan & Kevin are awesome and have always greeted me with a helpful attitude. They have so much equipment for your recreational hobbies & activities, and at great prices! Not to mention they no doubt have THE BEST skate sharpening in the area. And if you are into collectibles, they have some of those available too! I am (foolishly) thinking about possibly getting back into shape and going back on the roller rink. If I do, I will definitely be going back and checking out their goalie stuff. See you soon guys!

This place is awesome!!! Better than Dick’s Sporting and Big 5 in my opinion. The owner was so cool and very knowledgeable. He took the time to help my son pick out the perfect bat… he sold us a $300 bat for $50 in excellent condition used. They carry everything, for every sport even roller skates. New and used sporting goods.. I’m a fan of All In Sports…

This store always has a great selection of new and used sporting goods. We've found everything from wet suits to soccer cleats to golf gear. Very knowledgeable and friendly salespeople make it a great place to shop. Highly recommend.

Fantastic family owned store! We’ve been able to find used and new baseball gear, skateboards, balls, bikes and various exercise items. Great location, excellent customer service, highly recommend!

We were referred to this business from a parent who's daughter plays softball in Carson . When I told her I went to big 5 in Carson and paid $40.00 for cleats and had the worst service, she said she came here and paid $9.00 for cleats . We decided to stop by yesterday and I must tell you , the service alone was outstanding. We found everything we needed and saved about $150.00. What really stuck out was the owner cane out to help us . He took his time to explained everything to my daughter and even showed her the correct way to put on her helmet.The service was outstanding and they have everything for every sport . Will be back for ski season . Thank you for an outstanding experience... we will be letting everyone know, especially those who shop at Big 5 who don't appreciate your business

I’ve been to this location a handful of times. Recently, I started going because of the pretty large selection they have for left handed golf clubs. The owner was behind the counter today ringing people up. I’m leaving this review because of how genuine he was when he thanked me for shopping at his business. Even when I first walked in he asked me if I needed help and, to let him know if I had any questions. These small local businesses really rely on the connection with residents of the community. I will always stop at this play it again sports before I even look on Amazon for any kind of sporting gear. I’d much rather give my money to a place that appreciates everyone that walks through their door. They have everything you could think of sports related and I suggest everyone at least stops in before they shop at one of these big retail stores.

We've shopped here several times for our budding athletic child who navigates every sport to at least try out, so it enables us to get him the right equipment but not have to buy expensive brand new equipment that gets abandoned after a few weeks.I just found out on our last visit that LARRY ROBINSON owned this store. He's a legend and icon of Hockey, a true champion who has raised the Stanley Cup and is in the Hockey Hall of Fame. I believe he's been listed in many analysts "Top 100 Players of All-Time" ranked in the low 20's, so could be considered easily a Top 50 Player and debatable in a positive way that he's still in the Top 30, 20 or even 10, especially within his own position as a Defenseman and not the typical spotlight glory positions that scores tons of highlight reel goals.It's odd that I never looked at the walls to see the museum like displays of Larry Robinson's achievements and friends (like a signed Wayne Gretzky jersey).I think it's my new life mission to bump into him at his store with my son (who's too young at 6 to know much of the game of hockey) as we're shopping.We've gotten soccer gear, golf clubs and other things. The selection is large and parking is easy.

I love this store! Our family always goes here first when we need something. They have all kinds of great stuff. Snow gear for kids, wetsuits, boots ,hockey, baseball, life jackets, all kinds of high end bikes and scooters. A great recent purchase of mine was a pair of premium neoprene kids fishing boots with the tags STILL ON ,that usually cost over 100 bucks for 20. It doesn't get better than that. In addition the customer service is great and the owner is super involved and friendly. 10/10

Just moved back to South Bay from Vegas after 20+ years and missing from all the glitz, glamour, there is no used sporting goods stores. Im happy these guys are here to replenish my delapidated hockey gear. Thanks

My kids play a lot of sports and it's a challenge to get them the gear they need in the moment. I also coach and need coaching / training gear. It does not take long before you have a garage full of "sporting goods" as they quickly grow out of things. I have went to Play It Again Sports Torrance over the years to both find new equipment and sell items my kids have outgrown. Larry is a small business owner who runs the shop and is helpful. I think I have sold nearly 20+ items with him. I had a problem once and he resolved it. I'm looking forward to buying/selling more items with this shop in the future.
