JONS International Market was the ONLY local source that I was able to identify for a particular imported delicacy I was looking for (looking all over the LA basin for). The staff was friendly and VERY helpful...and the had the "no sugar added" baklava that I was looking for.It remains my only direct source fo "no sugar added" baklava. The staff, by the by, remains friendly and VERY helpful.

One of the best grocery stores in the area. Great deli & cheese section. Very friendly staff. You can leave with a full bag of delicious groceries for only $20!! (Like I did today.) I am very thankful for this delicious grocery store.

Be aware their cashiers overcharge customers. Always make sure price on products matches cash register! Only supermarket in Torrance that charges for plastic bags for EBT customres. However, cashiers they charge under deli charges for $0.10!

I agree with other reviewers in that some employees at the BBQ area are very rude. Also, there are no clear signs to indicate where a line should start. They only have a "Pay Here" sign, but no "Order Here" sign. When I was waiting right next to "Pick three combo" picture, there was no line at all. However, just when I was about to order , someone just arrived at the counter where there are no signs, their order was taken ahead of me. I couldn't believe that my order was taken the last after 4 orders were taken ahead of me who arrived later than I. The food is bland, but expensive. When I suggested the employees to place an "Order Here" sign, they simply ignored it. Very rude! NOT REOMMENDED!

Literally the best market in town. I come here once or twice a week. Unbeatable price: especially the protein. Thinking about cancelling my Costco membership. Very wide international selection: Italy, Middle East, Russia, etc. and regular stuff too. Ridiculous amazing selection of wine. Lastly: Has a food court with BBQ that's good price vs. taste and amount of meat. I second the negative option that once in a while I get bad customer experience. I think the store tries to hire diversity in terms of age and ethnicity. All good; it's forgiven, since the guy at the meat selection is always happy and filled with vibrant energy.

Very low class market. Some of the employee's( the two shorter female grandmas) have been dishing out rude service for many years. The Toothpaste is locked up in a large cabinet with the Condoms. As a shopper I found it strange to have to find an employee to unlock a cabinet for a Toothbrush? This wouldn't be an issue if the Employee's didn't act as though it's a bother. Every time I need something in that cabinet I just keep walking, do they wonder why nothing in there sells? I'm sure it's because of theft, but why penalize the other customers? Jons market has a serious problem over charging for bags. It's as though the checkers get commission on bags? They will ask you how many bags you need, they never mention they cost .20 cents each. I've been charged for 4 bags when I only took 3, it's only .20 cents, but it was my money and they took it without asking. When I went back and told the checker she acted like it was a big deal to give me the 4th bag. Last thing is the food they prepare for the lunch crowd is kept heated until the dinner crowd. After 6 hours sitting out, the deli food looks greasy, and it was when I tried it. Threw it away. At Vons I can use self checkout and bypass the drama I received at Jons. Long time Employee's have become unhappy resulting in bad experiences for the shoppers. Time to get some younger people working there that aren't brainwashed that it's okay to be rude. Maybe use your profits from "bags" to install self checkout. I found the manager to be great, but his hands seemed tied to do anything with his subordinate checkers.

Second time visiting this market. First time before Thanksgiving, we came to buy bread rolls and noticed the food area. My wife had the chicken kabob and I had the lentil soup. She liked her fish and to my surprise, the lentil soup tasted just like my mother used to make. Very tasty. Today we came so my wife could eat her kabob, since our to go location is closed for renovations. She tried the fire chicken and liked it. I tried the Tri-Tip and it was also very tasty. Mashed potatoes were a bit runny but not bad. Potato wedges were also very good. Both plates had large portions, especially the kabob at a very affordable price. Both plates for under $24.00. that's typically what one plate with a smaller portion would cost at most restaurants. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Will return, I want to order the half chicken plate next time.

The good: Finally, a place my husband and I can buy large quantities of buckwheat! I was impressed by the frozen cake and ice cream section. There was medovik (Russian honey cake), Rafaello ice cream and so many more yummy-looking desserts. This store is large like a regular grocery store rather than the typical small international stores. There is plenty of parking. It was very organized inside. We bought Ryazhenka (baked kefir) here as well as German semolina egg pasta noodles that I think would be great for my toddler. I'll definitely be coming back. It's rare to see an international market this size and this place really sells a variety of cultural foods. The bad: We didn't find Ukrainian dumplings (varenyky). I thought there'd be a fresh cake section or a larger fresh bakery area. The interesting: They sell a lot of regular American groceries too and not just international foods. There were a lot of German products too.
