Ironworks owner, Gerry Dziub, is an expert at tailoring training to individual needs. As a skier in my 60's, I worked with Gerry in advance of ski season and was subsequently able to enjoy the slopes far more than ever before. Gerry's wealth of experience has helped to keep me "injury free" and motivated to continue working out at Ironworks.

Gerry Dziub is the owner/operator of this fitness studio. My husband and I have known him for over 25 years and have been working with him most of that time. His gym is small but very complete and has a nice feel to it.Gerry is the most amazing personal trainer with 40 year's experience and a degree in exercise physiology. He has the most innate and complete knowledge of the musculoskeletal-skeletal anatomy and is a genius in figuring out exactly what a person needs to workout safely and thoroughly with a simple conversation about your body and any problems and what your goals are for your body. He then works out a program for you and remembers it in his memory without notes. We cannot recommend Gerry more highly.

Joining this gym is hands down one of the best decisions of my life. Talk about leveling up! My husband and I joined a little over 4 months ago and we have both seen some drastic changes physically and mentally. I am forever grateful to Gerry! He is extremely knowledgeable, professional and caring. He genuinely wants to see you win and make those gains. I wouldn't be where I am today without his support and guidance. I can't wait for what the future holds!

Late in 2019, I made the decision that I had to get into better physical condition. And throwing away money on a gym membership didn't seem the way to go. After doing some serious research on weight training (and reading The LeanGains Method by Martin Berkhan), I decided to Google around and see if there was a weight training facility nearby. Literally, I type "weight training" into Google Maps and the pin was Iron Works Fitness Studio. I called the number, left a message and heard right away from Gerry, the owner. We agreed to meet and when we did, I knew right away that Gerry was the kind of no-nonsense trainer I was seeking. Gerry wanted to know my goals. Simple: burn fat, build muscle. I was 68 and out of shape. That was December 2019 and many workouts since I am seeing the results. Gerry has pushed me to my limits, something I would never do on my own. I can't wait to get to my workout, and I can't wait for it to end, it is that challenging. A huge side benefit is the Iron Works fanatics that I've met at the gym in the wee hours of the morning. If you're working with Gerry, you're family! How cool is that?

Playing collegiate baseball, Gerry has helped me make huge off-season improvements regarding strength and agility. His knowledge, care, and attitude has pushed me to reach new levels. His understanding of sports specific training is applicable to anyone with collegiate or professional goals.

Amazing studio run by the best of the best in fitness. Gerry is the real deal. I have been active my entire life but after having a baby needed something to kick me back into gear. I was referred by a friend and so thankful she introduced me to Gerry. He's very professional and helps you no matter what level you're at - he works with kids, adults, pro athletes, seniors - just about anyone that is serious about their health & fitness. I couldn't recommend Gerry or his awesome gym more. Check him out!

For those that have forgotten their "new year's resolution" to get in shape and change eating habits or you need someone to kick your a** or just get you started, I can't say enough good things about Gerry at Iron Works Gym. Gerry is a good listener regarding goals and past issues. He practices what he preaches regarding nutrition and your workouts. He also sets proper expectations, Rome wasn't built in a day! He is a local dad, who has been doing this for a long time and loves his job and helping you achieve your goals. Best of all, for me atleast, he is all business and no BS. There is no standing or sitting around talking wasting your/his time, like you see at so many gyms. All ages both male and female are represented there, from early teens through 80 something years old. His gym is a few doors down from Hey 19 on the corner of Anza and Calle Mayor. He builds his schedule around his clients, mostly early mornings and afternoons, so those are good times to stop in and check him out. Don't be scared off by the country music. ; )

Gerry is the owner and he is amazing. My son has been there for a year now and has shown so much improvement. He now know how to lift weights correctly and he is a lot more stronger. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone. Everyone is welcomed there.

I have been with Gerry for many years. He is adept at fine tuning his workouts to your situation. No matter what your age, fitness level or current injuries, he will find a way to get you a good workout. This is a real contrast to typical trainers who will just "do their thing" no matter what your situation may be. His approach combines new techniques with old school New England work ethic. He makes it possible for you to really get in shape by taking away the excuses - no matter what hurts, you can still get a good workout. His rates are extremely reasonable as well.

Gerry at Iron Works Fitness is helping me make good on that famous New Year's resolution that has gone unfulfilled for years--to put a priority on health and get serious about exercise. I've never belonged to a gym or had a personal trainer. But I knew big classes, pounding music, or rotating trainers weren't for me. I was looking for a seasoned, proven person who could help me build strength and endurance correctly to avoid injury, and a program tailored to my level, abilities, and needs. Gerry is that knowledgeable, experienced trainer who has been involved professionally in fitness nearly all his life and has operated Iron Works for more than twenty years. He works with the entire spectrum of clients-- from retirees wanting to stay fit, to housewives and mothers, to high school and college sports players, to families, and professional athletes. I've been able to see solid progress since I started a few months ago. Not only have I gotten noticeably stronger, but I'm healthier, have more energy, and sleep better. Gerry is a great motivator and has a sixth sense to tell how much to push me on any given day, so that I am challenged, but never discouraged. He changes things up, so that no two sessions are exactly alike. Getting fit takes work, but Gerry makes it fun. And I can't underestimate the value of having scheduled times to get in the gym, which has made a big difference when I "don't feel like it". It has kept me consistent and on track, and I never regret going once I've gotten myself there. The gym is clean, and there are never more than a couple other friendly people there at a time. Schedule-wise, Gerry is easy to work with and flexible, and his rates are very reasonable. Highly recommend!
