Recently had a brake and tire job done at Charlie’s - it should come as no surprise that a reputable independent shop will save you quite a bit of money.
The staff at Charlie’s is knowledgeable and provided a discount as well. Would recommend.

Excellent care! I could not ask for better service and will be using this shop every time I’m in the South Bay and recommending to all of my friends and family! I came in with a pressing issue that was time sensitive and they looked at my car immediately. Alex was responsive, warm, and kind, and he and all of the technicians really went above and beyond to care for my car before driving off on a big road trip. I can’t thank them enough!

Robert repaired my water pump on my Audi 2014 which I was pleased, they also did work on my wifes MBZ which was good but..... Somehow the brakepads cover were lost or fell, we drove ordered it with the mechanic, he was supposed to call us when it was received, he never called us. We went back to try to figure out why we did not received a call and said he had called us which was not true. Not going back there again.....

I did not use Hillside Auto Repair but they still helped me. Wanted to replace a door cylinder lock on my car. Customer service rep looked at the damage and was honest by stating they could not perform the work. They instead referred me to a local locksmith who they have worked with and does great work. They also told me what a reasonable repair cost would be. This is great customer service. I would definitely consider them for my next auto repair.

We had a check engine light show up on our 2013 VW GTI and I brought it to Hillside to help figure out the issue. It was determined that the sensor in the radiator was the cause, so we replaced it. After 800 miles the light came on again, so it was more than just the original issue contributing to the light coming on. Robert did some homework and found out that another contributor can be related to the water pump. After spending a lot of time working the issue, he was able to figure it out and we haven't had a probelm since then. I appreciate the perseverance in fixing the issue. Brought my car in for what I thought would be a broken axle but they just found that I didn't tighten my lug nuts when I rotated my own tires. Honest. Since they didn't find much they did do a full inspection and found my air filters were old. She thanked them for their honesty and went on my way. I have been here before for my other cars and they have been good about treating me right.

Hillside Auto is the best at every need for your auto. We have been bringing our 2016 Chevy Equinox here at least annually. Love the customer service. Also, big fan of the outdoor waiting area with zen water fountain.
