I made a deposit on December 29th. Today is January 09, and the funds are STILL UNAVAILABLE! Does anyone know how much interest is accrued in 12, going on 13 days on a little less than 20k? I'm asking for a friend, lol. I'm sure they won't pay the interest to my friend or me, I'm just curious since they have been holding my money since last year. I wonder if they have heard of these new fancy inventions called "computers?" They weren't around when the teller that helped me grew up because she was close to my age so I'm wondering if she just doesn't know how to use one or just didn't trust me based on my appearance? That type of profiling is illegal, although it was common practice when she and I grew up. They do have a diverse workforce so I am confused. When I read their policy that they make funds available the next day when possible, I thought it was cute. Funds availability The next 'year', however, is a bit of a stretch even for my patience. Oh well, it was fun banking with nice people, seeing all the smiling faces, and all the old school stuff, but business is business. I'm going to miss all the nice employees that I have met thru the years but 2024 demands a more modern, efficient banking system even for a senior citizen like me. BMO has some enticing commercials and they seem state-of-the-art so I guess if I ever do get my money sometime this year, it will be time for an overdue banking change. Farewell Farmers..., we had a pretty good run. Gonna miss you.

Greatest Customer Service ever - F&M in Torrance at the corner of Sepulveda and Hawthorne. Karen, Brandon, and Ibn are simply the most wonderful the nicest, most thorough, and caring people I have ever encountered in the many years I have done banking and accounting for organizations throughout the South Bay. We were looking for a trustworthy local bank to which we could transfer our checking and saving accounts and our investment advisor recommended Farmers and Merchants Bank (FMB). We wanted to get away from the big national banks who have been divulging private info when they had no right to do so and been in the papers for other questionable practices.From the moment I walked in the Torrance FMB branch Gilberto Rodriguez (Banking Relationship Specialist) greeted me and made me feel like family. I explained my concerns with our current bank and he assured me FMB was a good bank while explaining their philosophy, trustworthiness, and their years in business. He was patient with all of my questions and concerns. He explained what FMB had to offer as far as banking plans went and we discussed the best plan for our needs. Based on what Gilberto told me we opened an account that day and ever since then Gilberto and the rest of the staff have been providing excellent service. He calls me by name when I walk in the bank; I am not just a number to him. Since opening our account he has called and e-mailed me several times to check on how my banking experience is going and if I need anything. Gilbert stands out as far as customer service goes and I am so glad we moved our bank account to FMB.FMB provides free seminars for their customers and the list of their services far exceed any other bank I've used. I especially like that they don't allow a line to form if you go into the bank for transactions. I used to end up leaving our old bank after seeing long lines or waiting for long periods of time for help. I try to transact most banking business on-line however there are times you can't avoid going into the branch. I can't recommend Gilbert and FMB highly enough; you won't be sorry if you open an account with Gilbert and FMB.

Great help with some difficult banking issues and international wires for our non-profit. Karen, Maugra, and Evan are always terrific at solving problems. 5 stars. Would recommend.

Disappointed with customer support. Called to ask a question regarding recent transactions. Person who answered (Emmet Johnson) basically said he couldn’t help me and that I’d have to call the bank where I originally opened my account to have my question answered. Not sure why this would be necessary. Not sure why he couldn’t help me with my question. Fine. The problem is this, I did call the other bank and spoke with management (Rigo Bahena) and was basically told that my question should have been answered at the Torrance bank. Interesting and frustrating. Not sure why tellers are not on the same page. Not sure why this guy is basically giving me the run around while another person is saying that my questions re: transactions should have been answered at any bank. Would appreciate better customer service versus blaming the customer. Would appreciate having been heard correctly to begin with versus making assumptions of what I need. Would appreciate having my question answered from the very beginning instead of giving me false information. Maybe this guy is great and awesome, but with me, he really wasn’t.

I give good reviews and I give bad ones too, when warranted, and I don't hold back. Soooo... this is a GREAT review! I've been a client in all the big banks and a few small ones over my 30 yrs in business (I'm only 35 LOL!) so I know good service when I see it. This branch of FMB is spectacular! From the online inquiry, to phone follow up by Crystal, to the actual in branch service by Ibn Johnson to a nice conversation with Trina Kulusich, my wife and I were floored with their attention and service. FMB is now my corporate bank and I look forward to working closely with the staff and management there. Thanks for the great experience.

What can I say other than the best place to bank ever. Kim and her staff will take care of you no matter the situation, will call ahead to make sure customers are aware of everything going on with accounts. Hands down my favorite bank

Great customer service! Everyone is friendly and helpful. Wait time is minimal compared to other banks. This bank puts their customers first. If you want to be treated well and have a bank that watches out for you, look no more you found your bank.

So, in the beginning, I was hot as fish grease. When we and we all make mistakes, do d*** s**** act up and basically are human, we should turn, do better and learn. Kim and her crew, are those kinds of people! Helpful, always trying to do better and lending a listening ear. Thank you !

Poor COVID compliance February 2021 When I entered bank I was greeted by a "Banking Relationship Specialist" aka account manager: I had to ask them to put their mask on , and I had to additionally ask then to cover their nose. One account manager aka Specialist not wearing a mask at all. Specialist helping me said "That person doesn't have a client" & "...they're taking a break from the mask. " The entire 15 minutes I was there the person w/o a mask kept making eye contact with me when they weren't chatting with a third specialist/account manager at adjacent desk. I know they heard my confused questions. Poor protocol. Dangerous protocol. I was actually offered water which would have required me to remove MY mask.. Followed up with a call once I was at my work: manager said she would rectify the situation. We will return to verify all employees within area that public does business are masked per CA law. Very stressful visit!

Nichole, Kim, and Juan assisted me this past Saturday to make a deposit and give me a new atm debit card immediately, no wait. I had a problem with the atm machine malfunctioning out front, where the card seemed to be stuck in the machine. it seemed like the computer wasn't processing correctly. Thank you to the Torrance Team for making this an overall positive experience.

Seriously what an F'ing joke for a bank. Not a soul in there you could have swung a dead cat and not hit anyone. They made me feel as though I was there to swindle them......pure unprofessionalism the teller seemed as though she wanted to help but the supervisors were another story. Went here to use the ATM I needed to get some bills of another denomination and was told they could not do it, because I wasn't a customer and I didn't give them my ATM machine receipt and the machine gives you an option not to take one. Even B of A the worst of the worst will change your denominations. The funny thing is they sure take your ATM fee. Just think how they must nickel and dime their customers if they can't change bills when you use their ATM machines. Check the camera I was there
