I had over $100,000 in savings and checking accounts and received a letter stating that If I didn't have $200,000...that I would be charged $35 a month for my checking....are you serious? Why did they put me in this account in the first place? Wasn't my $100,000 enough for them to be happy? How much money did they make off my $100,000? I'm looking for another bank to put my measly lousy $100,000 in.....does anyone have any suggestions PLEASE DISREGARD THIS POST: I CALLED THE MANAGER MYRA AND APOLOGIZED FOR BEING A A--HOLE KAREN....I FOUND OUT THAT I WAS WRONG AND HAD I ACTED CALM AND COLLECTED I WOULD OF REALIZED THAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A EASY FIX....I'M EMBARRESSED OF MYSELF FOR MY BEHAVIOR

This is the worst bank I have every been involved with. they froze my personal account without any notice (they said they sent emails to an email address that I have never heard of) because they needed some updated information. Then they closed an account automatically for non-activity, but $10,000 to 50,0000 goes in and out of that account five days a week. The employees are so unhelpful and can care less. They just said, "It was a computerized determination, sorry about that," but had no clue on how to rectify it. Don't even think about banking here

I love this bank compared to BofA. But with this coin shortage you guys better not give me less then $10 in a roll of quarters. That's not fair to the clients that come in and get quarters. Last time I was given $8.50. I am already out 1.50 and the banks is still making more money. How is that even fair?

If you look at the other reviews, you'll understand why I say this branch is also the worst experience I have ever had in recent years. Don't come here! The tellers can be on top of it, (with a little help from a supervisor), but you don't mind waiting. I tried to open an account, had an appointment. Waited 1 Hr. Oh! Someone forgot to call you! It goes down hill from there. Only one person to help and that person is always busy with the only other customer there. They are not open on Saturdays like most other branches or banks. About 50% of the time, they just don't seem to get anything right. There is one mistake after another: simple things like your address on a new account. Weeks of frustration with that one! Also, don't try making an appointment. Schedules change, etc. etc., but they don't call to reschedule. Don't show...they won't notice! ven when they find the mistake, they can't correct it! More runaround! Don't make the mistake of thinking you have an understanding. You don't...they're just on a different page here. Try calling repetitively to resolve it? Don't! The one person they refer you to isn't there. That's right, only one person can do it. Even if they own the mistake and promise you the moon, they give you the runaround about why it can't happen. That's right, they're going to give you Customer Reward points for your inconvenience. Try that one. Oh, they forget to tell you that the back office said you've made too many requests this year! Except the Points Dep't says that is crazy, no record of it and they are rude to say that! You get the picture. There are better banks! Hours of your uncompensated time!

The manager Brent is the most incompetent person I have ever had to work with. No respect for time or money. If you must use Citibank, go the Manhattan Beach branch office.

Brent Araneta, the manager, was very nice, knowledgeable and help me solve an issue created by another bank. The ladies upfront are always super nice and there is never a long line.

I would give this bank zero stars if I could. I went in to change my name because I got married, and they basically told me that I could not. They said it was because I had a joint account, but what does that have anything to do with me having a different name? I have gone to two other banks, and they have all changed my name without the joint person there. They claim that it's because they are a global company, but again, what does that have anything to do with me changing my name? I have a new name, and it shouldn't be this much of a giant hassle for me to change it in the system. This whole thing has been such a hassle, so I will be going to another bank, after 15 years of being at this bank, because of this ridiculous policy that they have in place.

I deposited 15k into a Citibank account to get a bonus of $500. I did everything they asked to the letter. Six weeks later Citibank sent me the money back and said that I had not complied with their instructions. I called the 800 number and they said they had not received all my information. The bank officer told me I had done everything correctly, and he referred me to the bank manager. The bank manager told me not to cash the checks and he would contact the corporate office. The bank manager sometimes returned my calls {usually late} and sometimes not at all. He eventually told me the process could take UP TO SIX MONTHS and we agreed I could now cash the checks from Citibank I had received. Sometimes he returns my calls {usually late} and sometimes not at all. I have given up hope. Does the manager have that little power? A simple phone call should be able to resolve this; could that not be done? Bad corporate policy and bad personal treatment. I give this branch, this manager, and this bank one star. ps 22Jul19 I called the 800 CITI bank number and they knew nothing about any appeal. I am not surprised.

Zero stars for policy. This citibank doesn't cash their own checks. They send you to other locations. (Nice employees though)

This place is great. Been coming here for years. Conveniently close and the service is always good. It's too bad it's closed on Saturdays

They don't have a proper area for me to send in my compliant, so I'll just have to post it here. GO to Chase not Citi. Don't bank with Citi, I have been using their services for 5 years now with good standing with my credit card. I received my first late fee because I recently got married. They said they won't help with it since it wasn't a bank error, and won't refund it either because there are other ways I could of avoided it. The customer service rep. only cared that it was the new rule, and didn't try to make things better. I give you business for 5 years with on time payments and you can't even help with one small late fee? No thank you, I have bank with Chase for a long time, and it happened with them recently told me they will reverse since it was my first time and they value my business. Thanks for helping me close my account today, I look forward to closing the rest of my account very soon and moving my relationships with Chase. Poor customer service, poor with banking relationships.

Their mobile app made an error showing me that I have an available balance but it was a faulty information. I contacted Citibank over the phone and made a scandal that I was shown a wrong information. And supervisor Danica went to great lengths to calm me down and even refunded $65 of the service fee to ameliorate the situation... That was beyond expectation and excellent customer service regardless that I was a bit rude Danica bit the bullet and took flack to satisfy the customer... that's rare in our country... so I really appreciate what she did!!!
