This rating applies to online services. Citi held up a wire transfer that I authorized. It came from the same device I had used for months and for many transactions. The recipient was a the same to whom I had sent a prior wire transfer. Their fraud department claimed to have questions that I needed to answer before they would let transfer my own money. After 40 minutes on the phone, and multiple intrusive and irrelevant questions, they agreed to let me send my own money. They got their fee, plus free float on my funds which they debited to my interest checking account while my transfer was "pending".

Don't go to this location. Service sucks. My banking appointment was cancelled last minute by Amardeep for no reason and with zero explanation. He wasn't even the banker I had scheduled with but I think it's the same person I spoke with on the phone before and he wasn't nice then either. I've been to this branch multiple times now and haven't had a great experience. Now considering driving to a branch much farther away to find better service. It's sad because I found a really great location before but it has closed down since.

They seriously do not care about your business. They are rude and careless what your needs are. Even when they are not busy, they keep themselves busy so they don't have to deal with you.

This probably the best Citi branch in the South Bay that being said it's still a bank which always takes longer to do things more than they should. I love Clarie, the Citi Bank gold teller. She's very friendly and competent. I can say much about the other mediocre tellers there. If you go to this branch make sure to pick Clarie to help you. She will save you time and frustration.

Worst banking experience ever. From the moment I opened my account it was already a disaster. The only nice person there was Sean but the manager and other staff was not helpful at all. The bank system itself is awful. The customer service was rude and not helpful. Tried accessing my online account and tried sending zelle and they blocked my account and they said that the bank doesn't like zelle transaction. The following day I closed my account. Beware of this bank. Us bank is way way better. I want to give 0 star but it wouldn't let me submit my review so i have to give them 1 star which they don't deserve.

HORRIBLE bank. It was fine as long as I was just doing basic banking. When I started traveling again I ran into many problems. They wouldn't release the money from my account for airline tickets, hotels or reservations of any kind. I was told it was due to fraud. They refused to transfer me to the fraud dept. when I called to see what the problem was. I had to call back and act like my cc had been stolen. I was told that all travel arrangements were placed on a 6 week hold because they might be fraudulent. I hadn't reported anything lost or stolen. But they refused to allow the payments. I had to reroute everything thru my other bank. I got 2 money orders, they were not used. So, of course, I wrote VOID across the checks. What else would you do? I took them to be redeposited into my account. They REFUSED to take them because they had VOID written on them. Now, we're arguing over it. They had to place a stop payment on a money order that I purchased and didnt use and they now have in their possession to be able to deposit the funds. Oh, and that cant be done today, friday, it has to wait until next tuesday because the department that handles this is closed until tuesday. I had $2000 worth of $20 I had been saving, tip money. I asked them to just change it into 100 dollar Bill's, going on vacation. They refused. They could only do 500 at a time. I got the bank manager involved because this was just another rediculous policy. He allowed it...THIS TIME. Do yourself a favor and avoid this bank. Too much of a headache.

I tried to make a personal loan payment this morning through the app after the manager at the Redondo Branch suggested it last month. He suggested it because he didn't understand the company policy of accepting cash payments to loans without a checking account. After trying to do what the rude manager suggested, realized I went in the branch every month because you can't do it through the app, you have to do it on their online website. But their online website crashed on me multiple times. I tried calling the loan customer service department and waited on hold for a while. Couldn't get anyone on the phone. Tried to call the branch to set an appointment to just close this loan and be done with it. Couldn't get anyone on the phone. Their online appointment scheduler wasn't working either (which another customer confirmed while we were in the lobby). Finally went into the branch and wanted to see a banker to confirm the payment I attempted in the morning didn't go through. I also asked if the banker could call the loan department to confirm my payoff amount and that the payment will automatically close it. Again I didn't have any luck getting customer service on the phone and would hope an internal call from a banker would get me to someone from that department. She wouldn't call the loan department for me. Her name is Susan. She's helped me before years ago but today was not a pleasant experience. Understandably I don't have much faith in this company. Susan's coworker came over because she asked him to confirm how closing the loan works instead of calling the department like we asked. Once he explained, Susan said you can just call the loan department number on your statement... what?!?! I asked him if the app, website, and customer service line doesn't work what do I do, just come in? Because after that experience with Susan it seems their bankers don't work either. Lastly, why don't they check off customer names off the waitlist once they help them to their desk? Every banker I saw came to get someone from the lobby and asked everyone their names and who was next.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. ESPECIALLY WITH JACQUELINE! Citibank messed up my mom's credit card application by sending it to the wrong address. She applied in person at this branch with a banker. How does this even happen? Strike 1. She visited the branch again to have them correct the situation, to which they miserably failed. Address wasn't properly updated nor a request for a new replacement card was ever made. Strike 2. Final straw, this time I visit the branch with my mom to aid in her bilingual language barrier. The banker who was "supposed" to help us named Jacqueline had the most hostile attitude from the get go, even before we took a seat. Instead of admitting to their mistakes and apologizing, she had the nerve to tell us she's been in the banking industry for 14 years and that she knows more than us LOL GIRL, we've had our citi accounts longer than you've been employed LOL Get the fuq outta here with your puny-ass remark. We've decided to end our 20 years + relationship with Citi after this incident. Taking our money to Chase.

Parking isn't a problem. Customer Service wasn't a problem. My hubby and I were well taken care of. I was very surprised from the reviews I read. Either we caught these representatives on a good day or their service has improved a great deal. Jonathan was very professional. I loved the way he was dressed, it reflects well on Citibank in my opinion. He spoke to us with much respect and talked us through the actions he was taking to handle our concern. Very beautiful location. Very big as well. Covid protocols were followed in a very dignified way. I would definitely come back to handle business here.

Very rude staff When I arrived to fix a problem on my account, I waited for my turn to speak to an agent, but unlike everyone else (who was opening an account), the agent Jacqueline came to me where I was sitting, and ask me about my problem in the most unprofessional way, when she couldn't give me an answer she told me that I have to wait more to be helped. I agreed , but al of the sudden one of the tellers came to help me with the problem , and again she couldn't figure it out , she called Jacqueline who came upset as if I cut off her business, and again in the same rude attitude she told me "who ever spoke to you over the phone from Citibank gave you wrong information, and we will keep it this way". But to be fair , the tellers are always nice and welcoming, but the management staff like Jacqueline vallejos is an unpleasant picture of the bank . I ended up closing my account .

I agree 100% with Dianna E's review about Cenlar (Central Loan Adminidtration and Reporting) which I believe is part of Citibank. I have my mortgage with them and the people running this are highly incompetent. Since Citibank inadvertently turns over home loans to Cenlar, I suggest you get your home loan somewhere else.

DO NOT take a Home Equity Loan / Mortgage from Citibank. They will turn it over to Cenlar (Central Loan Administration and Reporting) and they are crooks! My mother had a Home Equity Loan which she never drew from. She died, and we sold her house. During the sale, the escrow company contacted Cenlar for a payoff, which they provided (payoff was only for processing fees). Cenlar was paid off, and escrow closed, and I cancelled homeowners insurance. After that, Cenlar returned the payoff amount, and demanded we provide proof of homeowner's insurance - on a house we no longer owned! I sent death certificates, Trust certificates multiple times. It took months to get them to acknowledge me as "successor in interest", and only after I filed a complaint with the Office of the Controller of the Currency, the regulatory agency. In the meantime Cenlar force-placed very expensive insurance. It has taken 6 months to finally get the loan closed and the insurance cancelled. They will only be refunding a portion of the insurance, not the whole amount, although I still have not received the refund. To top it off, I just received a letter that Cenlar tried to debit another payment from my mother's account which I closed months ago so now they want a NSF fee. Trying to take another payment after acknowledging receiving payoff and that the loan is closed!! What a nightmare they are!!!
