“I've been going to Sandpiper for years. They are the best little bookstore in the South Bay, with a great selection across many genres and a good ratio between new and used. Today my girlfriend and I stopped in to donate some old books and browse around. I'd had my eye on a two-volume Aristotle collection for a while, but it apparently sold about a week ago. That's what I get for dragging my feet! I picked out a used copy of a history paperback, and asked the clerk Colin if he knew how much a new copy would cost. He did a little research on his computer and found that a new copy would cost more than twice the price of the copy in my hand. I happily opted for the used copy! After paying, we talked to Colin about the store and our common passion for books (turns out he also wanted that Aristotle collection and waited too long) and if another customer hadn't come to the counter to check out we probably would've talked until closing. I can't recommend Sandpiper enough as a home for book lovers of all kinds!”

“Got a web3 book here that was very relevant! Would recommend everyone learn about web3 by picking up a book at their local bookstore! Otherwise how else will people learn! We also looked at the very expensive pens. Didn't get much but a notebook, would go again!”

“It's a solid Barnes & Noble location. It's located in the Del Amo Fashion Mall parking lot. 2 stories and there's a cafe inside. As many B&N are now, it's mostly a gift/toy shop if anything, but looks like there's a decent amount of books and the workers are keeping on top of what is trendy now aka BOOKTOK suggestions. Bathrooms were not disgusting, but not the greatest either to be honest. Also nothing against this location but I gotta talk with the workers who are in charge of the suggestions in the manga section. Either you yourself are a casual or you're trying to appeal to more normies or casuals out there, but all of the suggestions were either already known series aka Sailor Moon/Death Note or the big shonen/seinen series that already have anime adaptations aka Demon Slayer, Kaguya-sama, Rent a GF (lord help us), etc. PLEASE I AM ON MY KNEES BEGGING, CRYING, & THROWING UP. PLEASE READ DIFFERENT MANGA/MAKE DIFFERENT SUGGESTIONS. There are so many other great series out there!”

“Was such a cute little shop, different from your typical generic suburban community vibes, a great space for an energy uplift and recharge. Really miss this unique place. Now where to go to get such affordable fun tarot readings!!”

“BookOff is a used book, record & DVD store. This location has a ton of anime which takes up about half of the store. If you're looking to buy cheap used books, this is a good place to look. You can find some hidden gems throughout the shelves. Some of the books are on clearance for $1 but usually range from $5-15 per book. They have all different kinds of books from SAT books, Romance, Non-Fiction, Fiction, etc. If you're looking to sell your books, this is only a good spot if you're just looking to get rid of the book but still make some money back. They'll give you about 30 cents per book which really isn't much. I wish they gave more money to sell books. The store only buys reading books, no textbooks. The staff is friendly and are quick at getting you back a quote. I would definitely come back here again.”
