I went last night and unfortunately the store was understaffed. I normally ask an employee for wine recommendations, but unfortunately no one was available to help me pick out a bottle as a gift. It was close to closing so I can give them the benefit of the doubt but this is the first time I have been in a BevMo with no one available to help. I generally have good experiences with employee recommendations so this was disappointing and I ended up leaving to try another store.

Just did a Gopuff pickup at this BevMo. Funny enough, it was the opposite of the other BevMo pickup. You enter the front, and they make you go to the back and ring a doorbell for your pickup. The pickup was quick and easy. I was probably inside for 2 minutes or 3 minutes tops. Would recommend Gopuff and BevMo, especially if you're in a rush and trying to just pick up something on the way to a party.

I bought a 6 pack of IPA bottles. Tasted funny. Turns out it was expired a year ago! No quality control whatsoever.

okay so...ghetto oakland has a bathroom and emeryville and sf ... but this location doesn't. never going to shop here again because where do your employees use the restroom? starbucks? hmmmmm... my aunt needed to pee and they said, no. total wine it is from now.

Sep 30, 2023 The worst service tonight. Ordered on GoPuff, received the text that my order was ready. Went to pick it up. Went to the back of the store and rang the bell. Clerk came out and ask for my name. He came out a second time and asked if the order was under a different name. I said no and he said "it's probably in the front." I followed him to the front of the store when he threw up his hands, as if in disgust. He said I can't find it, are you sure it's this store. I should have checked my text again but I didn't. He never once look in their computer system. I went home and reviewed the app again and it confirmed the order and the text that said the order was ready for pick up. I called the store and spoke to FOUR DIFFERENT PEOPLE. One said "we never got it so you need to contact Door Dash." I said " it was for pick up." That's when the 4th person got on the line and said "your order is here. The label may have fallen off." I had to return to the store for the SECOND TIME and got the same guy the first time around. He gave me my order and never once apologized or showed any remorse!!! Horrible customer service. I will go to the other BevMos from now on. Ok, bye!! July & August 2023 **** Thank you BevMo! For partnering with GoPuff. It's awesome to review the app, make an order and then have it delivered or can pick it up. BevMo! Staff are always so helpful. Tip: place your GoPuff orders between 9AM - 7PM so that BevMo! Staff receive it on their phones. Orders that are scheduled for a later time or day pick up get lost in the abyss. If you follow the tip, they can pull your order immediately so you may not have any No inventory messages. Thank y

Though the store itself is big and clean, it's no consideration compared to having the worst staff and bad customer service. Three different employees saw me wandering the same aisle looking for specific items, and NO ONE offered help. One guy was texting in between stocking the aisle and showed his annoyance when I went in the aisle he was supposed to be stocking up. He even pushed my cart away while I was digging through the back of the shelf instead of offering help. NO ONE even knew what a riesling was. Staff is ignorant of their own products and told another customer "JUST look around." WOW!

very bad experience, specifically related to the behavior of the employees.including two individuals: a man who chewed chips at the checkout, and a particularly badly polite woman in the same place.we were rather faithful to your shop, nevertheless we will not return.

I think it is time to send BevMo to Betty Ford! If you were looking for soulless people with no interest in helping you, and policies that are even more rigid, this is the place to come! Although I'm sure they are very good at all things policy, they are not very good with solutions. The cashier I dealt with was named Ant, but I'm pretty sure it should've been something like BOT! I'm pretty sure that he has already sampled plenty of product before the store even open this morning.One would think that if you can't find something you would ask an employee or ask a manager, right? It was interesting to watch someone look you right in the face and lie to me and adamantly protest that they've never carried the product until you finally insist, they go check their computer and sure enough they find it in the system. Oh and manager Tracy won't special order it for you either. Also as a word to the wise, do not not take your receipt here. They will hardly even talk to you about anything if you do not have a receipt. Oh, and even if you were buying something non-alcoholic, they will insist that you not only show them your drivers license, but they want to take it out and scan it. I'm pretty sure I don't like that idea. This would've been a one star review however, they didn't have a great playlist of 80s music for me to listen to while I waited. And waited. And waited. Off to Total Wine!!!

They have new policies for purchasing soda pop. They ask for your ID even when you buy cream soda and you're paying cash.....Why are you scanning ID's?? Rather go to a local liquor store, where they don't hassle you.
