My Marantz 2330B has never sounded better. I brought my receiver over to Dave to have it serviced, and take care of a few lingering issues no other shop has been able to fix. He was very communicative, and kept me up to speed on what he was doing. He is meticulous in his work, and just a solid guy to talk to. Price was fair, and turn around time was what he had estimated.

My first experience was great. I dealt with Manager, Israel, who seemed to genuinely care about may concerns about my car and advised me appropriately. When I went back a month later to ask a question, Israel no longer worked there and it was back to a ho him experience with someone behind the desk, uninvolved and not seeming to care.

David is very fair and straight forward. He also follows up and stays in contact with you. It was a pleasure doing business with him. He repaired an early 70's Marantz 2215B for me that we thought might not be fixable. It works great! Very happy.

Dave is an exceptional gentleman who took care of my Pioneer SPX 950 receiver with kid gloves to make it sound like it originally did almost 50 years go! He takes his time to do it right (thats why i left my PL560 turntable to bring it back from the dead). Highly recommend anyone that has stereos from the 70's to take to him (ck what they're worth today $1000's) worth the investment!

Dave took care of an old weathered Marantz 2325 for me. I wasn't sure it would ever work again as it was stored in a cold wet garage for years. It looks and sounds amazing now. He is very competent and patient. Kept me up to date and detailed all the repairs even though some were too technical for me to understand. I would highly recommend him for any of your repair needs. First class.

Incredible to find places like this that still exist. Or should I say you do not come around people like Dave all that often. Truly an artisan at his craft in every sense of the word. Love looking around at all of the projects he has going on in his workshop. Being an engineer myself the world of analog is a long lost religion for some. Ok glad Dave is here to help procure that! I Could not be happier with the work he did on our 2238b Marantz. I will be back God willing.

This place is a true gem. I've taken two pieces there; a vintage receiver and a rare vintage amp. Dave fixed and refurbished both of them to excellent functioning condition. I've taken gear to other places in which the repair didn't last, but Dave's work is still going strong with no signs of problems. He does not upsell unnecessary repairs, only what is indeed the problem or something that will fail in the immediate future. He knows all types of gear both tube and solid state. I'm actually about to bring him another piece, because I love vintage gear and I trust his work.

Excellent service from Dave. Dave really knows his stuff. Dave repaired my Marantz 2270. He got it done quickly and he did a really thorough job. Thanks again Dave.

Dave is one of a kind. Bring your vintage tube amps to him and he will figure it out. Thanks for fixing my Jolida tube amp, Dave!

My Dynaco ST70 was not doing well. Horrible buzzing in both sides and the neither of the right side pots would bias. it turns out that among some bad capacitors was a bad output transformer. These are not easy to find for a 60 year old amplifier. After months of searching Dave found a shop in Ventura that will make them to order. A long story short Dave has my Dynaco sounding better than new!

Recently I got an itch to build myself a turntable setup. After some thought, research and plenty of garage sale mayhem, I pulled together a nice early to mid-70's setup. A vintage Sony stereo receiver (1976), a vintage turntable (1971) and some decent speakers. The receiver needed some work. It belongs to my father-in-law and it's been sitting in hibernation since at least the mid-80's. I did the basics myself - cleaning the boards, the knobs, the faceplate and I even replaced the dial cord myself! But then I plugged it in and it just went - poof! I knew I had to call in the pros, so I did a quick Yelp and Google search and voilà, I became aware of Dave. What a guy! Really, he's friendly and honest. The man has a wealth of knowledge and experience. He was kind enough to not laugh at my attempt to install my own LED's and when I got it back it was better than I could have hoped for! He cleaned all the pots (the insides of the knobs) because they were noisy, he cleaned up my LED mess and installed proper LED's. Great work, Dave! It looks amazing. If you find yourself needing repairs for Audio and visual equipment, Dave is your guy. He works on a/v equipment of all types, vintage stereo, reel-to-reel and much more. I'll be going back with some other stuff for him to fix.

I highly recommended Dave at AVS for your vintage audio equipment. Dave is honest, very knowledgeable, reliable, has excellent service and quality of work as well as reasonably priced. In my case I needed a fast turned around which he was able to supply. From the quick diagnosis to repair he kept in communication and gave a detailed analysis of every step. He recommended changing the lamps on my 78 Marantz receiver and it looks great! I am Extremely satisfied! Almost forgot, it’s a good location with plenty of street parkingI Initially went to another shop in LA that said they specialized in vintage equipment. They not only took over two months, I had to contact them for any status updates, they charged an excessive amount and didn’t fully repair my system as they said they could do. I felt as if I was scammed. I wish I would have gone to Dave at AVS first. Extremely satisfied!

I always enjoy my chats with Dave when I have brought my equipment in for service. His price is fair, and his manner is relaxed. It is a pleasure to see the old equipment waiting to be picked up. The only problem is that he has too much work to do with the volume of equipment that needs service for Los Angeles audiophiles.
