“Amazing prices on mailbox rentals here in Santa Monica the owner is amazing very friendly and very helpful on serving you with all your postal needs .
I love ❤️ this little place and what this little store represents here in Santa Monica . This is the type of a small business we defenetly need ?????”
“Never crowded, always helpful, which is saying a lot for the USPS these days. Whenever we have the time to drive a bit farther to drop off a package, we stop here.”
“Dolly goes above and beyond expectations for helping her customers out with questions about packages and mail ! 100% will recommended her to anyone . She is the best with providing such kind customer service :)”
“This post office single-handedly revived my faith in USPS. Or, rather, my faith that trips to the post office can be pleasant. The two fellows that seem to be there most often are so effusively friendly and helpful! To the point where one of them, I believe his name is Jackie, got me something green to wear on Saint Patrick's Day so I wouldn't get pinched. We've since moved and I genuinely miss having those nice moments when I'd run errands. To those who can frequent this post office, please take some time to appreciate it!”
“I went in to deliver a package to Wisconsin and the man at the desk, Mickey, was so kind and helpful. He went above and beyond to explain what the best option would be for delivering my fragile package. I really felt like my delivery was in good hands and he was just a genuinely kind person which is rare to find in service these days. Thank you Mickey!”
“The Encino Post Office operates with a level of consistency and efficiency that’s increasingly rare. Under the management of Alfonso, the branch is well-organized and runs smoothly even during busy hours. Wait times are generally short, and the staff appear well-trained and focused on keeping things moving without unnecessary delays.
Alfonso maintains a visible presence and seems actively involved in daily operations, which likely contributes to the overall professionalism of the team. The counters are staffed appropriately, lines are managed efficiently, and any questions are handled clearly and without confusion.
It’s evident that this location benefits from strong leadership and attention to process. Compared to other branches I’ve visited, the Encino location stands out for being clean, orderly, and consistent. It’s a reliable place to take care of postal needs without hassle.”
“This post office was kind of tricky to find at first — it’s tucked away in the back corner of the plaza, and I actually passed by it once because I got confused and ended up at the UPS Store next to it instead. Just a heads-up if you’re going for the first time — it’s easy to miss if you’re not paying close attention.
Once I found it though, the service was great. The staff member working there (a Black man, didn’t catch his name) was super friendly and helpful. He took care of everything I needed, and even gave me a date stamp on my letter — which is something you don’t see very often anymore at post offices. That really stood out and made my day.
Unfortunately, they didn’t have the flag stamps in stock, which was a bummer because that’s what I came for. But aside from that, it was a smooth and positive experience.
Thank you again to the staff member who helped me — you were awesome!”
“If you ignore the limited parking, the store overall is great! Nice people there. Packages always got delivered. I saw they have boxes available, stamps, and packaging materials.”
“Only 4 stars because of the long wait ( 1hr outside, about 2 inside just waiting) but know that I did not have an appointment. Staff was extremely knowledgeable, helpful AND friendly! (Though tired, they're dealing with a lot).
1. Make sure your documents are COMPLETELY filled out BEFORE coming. If not I guess do it in line outside but bring a clipboard or something to write on. They do have a LIMITED supply of paper applications and they run out so that's why they recommend coming with your own.
2. Be prepared to wait. Bring water, headphones, a portable charger for your phone, a book, playing cards, whatever. You're gonna have to kill some time. There is AC inside and god bless them a fan (and it's hot) but there's an outside area with tables should you brave the heat (some of them have umbrellas so it's not too bad). One lady brought lunch with her. Queen.
3. Be prepared to STAND too. There aren't enough chairs. Wear comfortable shoes.
4. There are NO public bathrooms.
5. There are vending machines that are cash/coin only. Not sure if it's expensive but at least those are an option.
6. There was a fruit vendor near here and that fruit looked glorious in this heat so BRING CASH and support your local vendor.
All in all, my partners appointment only took him like 5 mins lol. Other people's seem to take way longer.”
“Sometimes, we don't know when we'll be needing a post office when not in our usual stomping grounds. Looking for one on the phone pulled up several in adjacent neighborhoods, so why not go to one in Calabasas, a very nice, wooded, and hilly neighborhood at Los Angeles's far western edge?I see that there's a spread in the reviews for the USPS in Calabasas, CA. We've all had some outlier experiences with post offices we regularly use. Some post offices are almost always marginal, but that's rare and can sometimes coincide with their area in general. I almost hate to say that. The Calabasas post office is in a strip mall. It shares parking with other merchants in this strip mall, but a parking space is likely to be found.I needed to send a small box using the USPS priority mail product. Their free boxes you obtain for this service are well designed - in how sturdy they are, in how easy they are to assemble, and even in how easy it is to remove the protective adhesive so that the box will seal. The price for this was just about $10.The gentleman at the counter was helpful and polite. He even added some extra tape at my request, even though the box probably would not have come undone. But why chance it? We made some small talk, given how uncrowded it was at the time, and we commented on how the SFV and the West Side of L.A. have changed over the years.I was told the parcel would arrive in 2 days. It got to its destination the following day! I'm giving this post office 4 stars because it's a small post office. However, it's clean and seems to function well. Now, let me add some pedantic fodder to this review. First, more so than any other section of the city of Los Angeles, SFV suburbs tend to use the name of the suburb (Northridge, Van Nuys, Sylmar, Studio City, etc.) on the mailing address, whereas West Side suburbs like Brentwood, Ladera Heights, and Miracle Mile use Los Angeles on the mailing address. However, if you were to send something to a SFV suburb and address it to Los Angeles - followed by the correct zip code - I'm pretty sure it would get there. Then, the word "calabazas," from which Calabasas was probably derived, means pumpkins in Spanish.”
“Last week, I found myself in a bit of a pickle when I realized I had forgotten to mail a birthday card to my grandma in Slovakia. The main post office was closed, and only Feve was working. It was almost closing time, and there were at least four people ahead of me trying to use the self-mailing machine. I asked Feve if they had any birthday cards for sale, but she informed me that they did not. However, she kindly pointed me to a nearby store where I could purchase one. She also mentioned that the self-mailing machine doesn’t accept postcards to Europe unless I already have a forever stamp. Her suggestion was to try the UPS store next door.
I followed her advice and bought a card, but when I got to the UPS Store, I was shocked to learn that it would cost over $300 to ship it, outrageous!
I returned to the post office, hoping for a small miracle as it was just about 4:58 PM or maybe even 5 PM. When I explained how much the UPS store wanted to ship the card. Without hesitation, Feve stepped in to help me. She unlocked the door to the main post office and got me the forever stamps. Thanks to her quick actions, I didn't fail, and made my 90-year-old grandma happy.
I am grateful for Feve’s kindness, as she could easily turn me away. Thank you.”
“This is the USPS location I use most of the time because it’s the closest to my house. The staff are always super friendly and ready to explain anything I need help with. They have a small parking lot that can get busy at times you might have to wait a minute or two or circle back for a spot. Inside, there are only two or three service counters, but the staff work efficiently and keep the line moving, so wait times are rarely an issue. I’ve had to send packages internationally before, and any time I had questions about the forms or process, they helped me every step of the way with a smile on their faces. It’s a completely different experience compared to the Reseda location, where everyone always looks miserable. I 100% recommend this USPS location to anyone in the Winnetka area who needs to send mail.”

“Idk what ppl are talking about, I scheduled an appointment for my passport came in, lady at the desk was very kind turns out I was missing a copy and she was super helpful told me to just go down the street and get a copy, came back and was in and out in 15 minutes workers were all cordial and nice, much much better than any DMV or passport office I’ve ever been to definitely will come here next time”
“This is the post office I usually go to because it's the closest one to where I work. The staff are always nice and friendly, and they answer any questions you might have about sending or receiving mail. There's plenty of parking at this location, and they have some self-serve machines that help you avoid waiting in line if you don't need assistance. When you do have to wait, the time depends on how many people are in line and how many staff are working the counter that day. It's always a pleasant experience using USPS. See you next time for the next letter or package!”
“Gonzal and Tristan were both very helpful guiding a package through the USPS system that got hung up in the Phoenix Distribution Center. Once it arrived at the Reseda location, it was quickly put in the hands of the recipient. Thank you both for your help!”
“not sure why this place has 2 stars only. I’ve used this branch for a long time and it’s always been good. Fast, and the people have always been helpful and kind.”
“Today I mailed six small packages and postal clerk Lerne was extremely pleasant and helpful. He made the entire experience at the Canoga Avenue Post Office an enjoyable one.”
“I was experiencing difficulties locating a package I sent to my clients, and Ryan went above and beyond to help resolve the situation. Thankfully the package was found and my client was able to pick it up, but regardless, his customer service was excellent throughout the process. I am very appreciative of him and his team's efforts.”
“I don't know why they have bad reviews. The employees at this Post Office are very friendly & professional. I, personally, had a very good experience at this location. A very nice employee named Ryan helped me with my Passport Application. He's polite, nice, and very thorough with my application.
I felt like I was in good hands, and I'm very grateful for his service.
It all went smoothly. I had no issues at all. The appointment lasted about 15 minutes.
I definitely recommend this post office because the employees are wonderful.”
“Greatest Post Office on earth. Seriously, the entire team from Lupe to Daniel to Raul have allowed me to grow my business faster than I had ever hoped.Looking for a Post Office with actually super friendly employees and great service? Well, turns out it exists and it’s nestled nicely within Topanga. My only concern is that the team seems to be understaffed and overworked since the new Postmaster took over. The team works as hard as humanly possible, but there are still limits to what can be reasonably accomplished with only one or two employees at the front, especially as we approach the busiest time of the year for packages and mail.Thank you team!Andy”
