I did not directly hire this company for my cross-country move, as they were contracted through U-Pack/Movingstaffers. Due to the movers terrible moving practices and procedures, ALL my furniture and packed items were loaded incorrectly causing severe damaged and overage charges for the trailer. When it came time to unload, every box and piece of furniture was damaged, similar to what others have complained about. I reached out to the companies for reimbursement, and was told the same thing, that their "service" doesn't cover damage. I was never given the option on what type of service was to be provided, but one would assume that randomly throwing furniture and items into a truck would be covered? Avoid at ALL costs.

This company gave us a quote and when they came to pick up my stuff they jacked the price up, given I did add some stuff to the pile but not $500 worth. Also the driver was extremely rude. They picked up October 31st and i did not receive my stuff until December 8th. Then they told me i would need to pay an additional $350 because the semi would not fit down my street. Complete nightmare with these people, no one ever answers the phone, and if they do they are totally un-knowledgeable about anything pertaining to your delivery.

I would give zero stars. Similar to what was said by others above, they actually cost me more money to move my stuff than if I had just left it all and bought new stuff. It almost all arrived broken and damaged, including a bed, desk, chair, PIANO, and numerous "fragile" boxes. Now I have to pay to get the broken stuff taken away and to have new stuff to replace it. This place is the worst. I didn't pick them- they were contracted out by the moving company. They will be hearing from my lawyer.

This company caused over $3000 in damages and they will not return my calls. I cannot tell you how horrible these guys were at loading our truck. Franco lied and said that he would supply us with some materials like picture boxes, on their Facebook page it says that stuff is free. He ended up forgetting the boxes and charging us for shrinkwrap and tape. Then they locked up the truck before I could inspect how it was loaded and they left before I could check it out. We were moving across the country and we had to leave due to travel reservations. They had taken so long to load my truck that we ended up showing up to our hotel at 3am. When our truck arrived it was apparent the "professional movers" did not load it properly. They piled tons of boxes on top of our dining room table, causing it to collapse along the way. Everything under it was damaged. Everything on top shifted forward and was damaged. It was a nightmare to move to a new city and have to start trying to sort this stuff out. Our insurance company is going to cover some of the damage but FRANCO WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. I left him a message the day this happened (over a month ago) and he still will not return my calls. This is a garbage company run by garbage people that will not care about you or your stuff. Visit citywidemovingcompany.com to see the full story and all our broken stuff. I bought this url when a month passed and Franco still has not return my calls.

I've used this moving company twice in the past year. The owner takes his time explaining all the options, charges , and answers any questions/concerns we had. The 4 man crew showed up on time, and got right to work. They exceeded our expectations,& went above and beyond to make our move stress free. AlI we had to do is tell them where to place/ set up our furniture in our new home. I highly recommend Citywide Moving and we will definitely use them again.

I had a great experience with The Citywide Moving Company they were able to help me in last minute move without any problems. The workers were professional and handled all of my packing and boxed all of my items. Price was perfect a steal of a deal. I will use them again and definitely recommend The Citywide Moving Company!

This company was extremely professional. They showed up 15 minutes early. The were polite and clean. They took extreme care with our furniture by wrapping items we did not think to wrap. We did not feel like they were milking the clock like you do with some movers. They worked at a steady pace. They did not complain and we have 3 floors of stairs. I would hire them everytime. Thanks for making the move so easy.

HORRIBLE MOVERS DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!! Are not honest about pricing, are not honest about delivery time, one dispatcher has woman hating complex and cursed me out and hung up on me cause I wasn't happy with his responses. Do not know when our stuff will ever get here, been 2 months since it was picked up and lied to last week when they said it would be here this week. THE WORST MOVERS EVER!!!

This company was awful!! #1 - we were charged for three workers when only two out of four actually worked; #2 - almost all our boxes were left in the garage even though they were labeled with rooms; #3 - we now have to carry the labeled boxes up to our 3rd floor condo; #4 - a chunk was taken out of wall & we were told we'd be called back about it but received no call; #5 - we were charged for their services in spite of our dissatisfaction. Do NOT use this company!

These guys are the best! They showed up on time and were very polite and courteous. They made our difficult move a pleasant experience. They went above and beyond to help us with the packing that we did not get to finish and they had very good attitudes even though we were not fully prepared. They disassembled all of furniture, wrapped everything with blankets, and reassembled everything at our new home. They were very quick and efficient. I will definitely use them for all my future moves and I will certainly recommend them to my friends! Five Stars!

1st, the 3 movers that showed up were overbearing, rude and had prison tattoos. Very uncomfortable to be around them. They were tossing my belongings into boxes so I took over packing though I was paying them. I told them to just move the items into the storage container.

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!! RIP OFF! Let's start with the business card whose website is from a different country... Then, add some rudeness from one of the movers. THEY TOOK AN HOUR LONG LUNCH BREAK AFTER WORKING LESS THAN 2 HOURS?!?!? WTF?? BUMS! Then took ANOTHER break later on???!!! This is NOT a Union, you HACKS! Just awful: 6+ hours to load a 2 bedroom apartment?? (It took 2 to unpack) $700 to pack a 2 bedroom apartment?!? (The movers we used at our destination costed less than $300 to unload...) Just AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. Can I give ZERO STARS?? What's wrong with you people?

I have used City Wide for 4 moves through the years. Once even while I was out of town because of an emergency. My land lord opened up the apartment and they moved everything even though it I want packed. My furniture has always been handled with care and the prices have been fair.

These guys came through for me at the last minute, when my old mover decided to go MIA. A friend referred them to me after she had a good experience with them, so that was a plus. They were able to squeeze me in last minute, and even moved up my move when they had a cancellation. Definite bonus points for coming through in a pinch! I spoke to Franco who was very thorough in getting details of the move down - time, location, and size of the move. I had about 30 boxes and just a few pieces of big, bulky furniture moving from a 1 bedroom cottage to a an apartment in an elevator building. The guys showed up about 30mins late, but they worked so quickly and so hard that I feel like they made up the difference. The guys worked in the rain and without a break. I bought them lunch but they barely stopped to eat, just wolfing food down and getting back to the job. I felt like all the charges were honest and upfront. The driver went through all of the charges before they moved anything. He told me that they have a gas charge which I wasn't told about earlier, but we called Franco who took care of the confusion so I was happy. Some places try to gank you while they hold your stuff hostage, so I appreciated the up front communication. They took care of all my stuff, nothing was broken or lost, and the whole move took about 4 1/2 hours, which is what I'd expected. I'd recommend & would use these guys again.
