200 Tennessee Valley Rd, Mill Valley“Friendly, knowledgeable, organic produce, they make their own pickles, jams, salsas and other canned goods using minimal sugars and nothing artificial. They even offer organic fresh savory pastries, that taste as good as they look!”
“Have been to this store only twice and already love it!! It’s the best in the neighborhood when it comes to quality, price and service. What more do you need? Make this your regular store!”
“I GOT A JUICER. SO NOW I HAVE A REASON TO GO TO THE FARMERS MARKET. I GOT LOTS OF FRUITS AND VEGGIES. SO MANY TO PICK FROM. AND ITS WAY CHEAPER THEN THE STORIES. NOW ITS TIME TO MAKE SOME FRESH JUICE. ITS THE BEST MACHINE EVER. SO FRESH AND HEALTHY. LOVE IT! ?????? ?????????? ”
“I love that Courtney's is still going strong. This is one of the healthiest places for me to grab lunch (and snacks...and beautiful flowers). From the outside, it looks like a fruit stand, but once you make your way inside, there is so much more. There's always a great selection of pre-made sandwiches (including turkey, bacon & avocado on Dutch crunch), juices with some great blends. Desserts are abundant as well as beautifully curated fruit salads and flowers (including some fringed tulips once). And the prices are very reasonable. One of the other reasons Courtney's is healthy for me is that it's a bit of a trek from my workplace and, if I incorporate walking up 14th St. from Noe to Castro, that's the equivalent of 7 floors per my fitbit.”
“I really enjoy going to that store and buying my groceries and pan. I've been going there since I was little and the men at the registers are always super nice! Very welcoming :)”
“The Good Life Grocery in San Francisco California had the best, most delicious salads for our daughter, Rebel’s Picnic in San Francisco on our vacation with Deli Salads, lemon noodles, beet salad, Greek salad with olives and feta cheese. Good Life is a neighborhood treasure. Bernal Heights is Heaven.”

1790 Sutter St, San Francisco“A great Japanese grocery store! Be sure to go at lunch time for various prepared foods like croquettes, katsu, onigiri, spam musubi, karaage, sashimi, and a lot more.”

174 6th St, San Francisco“My favorite mom and pop store to shop at. Owned by a wonderful family! They get to know there customers by name and have always treated me with the utmost respect and kindness. Highly recommend this store. They not only sell food and beverages they also carry sweaters, hoodies, beanies, gloves, sweatpants ECT. Also have barber clippers beard trimmers and much more!”
“Just read your supremely inspiring story in Madeline Ostrander’sbook, “At Home on An Unruly Planet.” Thank you for the stirr big of hope and courage!!! Eugenie in Bellingham Washington”
“They have nearly everything you need in this small store and the checkout line rarely has more than one person in front of you. I laugh at the people traipsing up to Trader Joe's to wait in long lines for produce that is vastly inferior to that in this store.I've seen some comments on the meat section and there is some validity. Check the pack dates, which are accurate, and if it is within the last 2 days your selection will be A+. I go here all the time for fish and chicken.”
7:30AM - 7PM
2101 Irving St, San Francisco“Great spot with hard to find veggies and variety of produce at reasonable prices. This is my go to spot when I want to try a new recipe, I can find my ingredients here. Staff always friendly and helpful and the aisles are clean and well presented.”
“The Nugget is well named: it's rare to find the quality of product, service, and price anymore, let alone a grocery store. The Staff consider shoppers "Guests" and consistently offer to take "guests" to the item sought rather than mumble something about which aisle your item may or may not be on. Their specials really ARE special and their shelves rarely have an empty spot waiting to be refilled. Each department is well run and the management team embodies commitment to customers. An A++ place to grocery shop!”
“Love this place. Best produce in the Inner Richmond, great prices, all kinds of cool international products, and, best of all, very friendly staff. One of those family-owned businesses that you’re happy to frequent, but that you’d also frequent even if it weren’t a family-owned business.”
“I love this neighborhood spot! Great place to grab a yummy sandwich, 6 pack, etc. Owners are very friendly. Thankful to have a market like this in the area, as there aren't many other convenience stores nearby.”
“A great, family-owned gem in the Richmond! They always have a great variety of fresh produce and Hispanic items you won't find elsewhere. They also sell pork tamales that never fail to hit the spot.”
“Brian, who mans the pasta stall every week at the Inner Sunset Farmer's Market is my go to guy. Home Maid fresh pastas, sauces, raviolis and more are delicious! ?”
“Great local produce market! I have been shopping here for many years. For a small space, they have a great selection of fruits and vegetables. I've generally found everything I need and the prices are normal/comparable to your larger supermarkets. When I first started shopping here they mainly had staple produce, but over the years they have expanded the selection to include changing neighborhood demand: acme bread, some basic cheeses, and some international pantry items. The people are generally friendly too. An older man once rung me up, who I believe is one of the owners, and told me to pick different peaches because the ones I chose may be too ripe and go bad soon. I appreciated this a lot.”
“Amazing little grocery store. They sell wholesale to restaurants so their produce is always so fresh and affordable. For everything else, they pick the best of the best so you don't have analysis paralysis while looking at the shelves. The staff - especially Lupe - is also sooo nice! Highly recommend this spot.”

“It's alright, its best feature is that it's close to me. Farmers sell organic produce but it's expensive. The pastry stand is not as good as I hoped. There are some nice prepared foods (dumplings, hummus, bread, honey) and sometimes a fish guy.It sort of covers all the basics but isn't impressive enough that I want to go weekly. The farmers market on Clement is better and I go there instead if I have time.”
9AM - 1PM
1700 O'Farrell St, San Francisco“I performed here! I'm a freelance musician, or a busker. I perform at many Farmer's Markets around the area. This was my first appearance at this one. Very small, by comparison, but very energetic. Met some wonderful locals there, as well.”
8AM - 11PM
986 Polk St, San Francisco“Good store for daily needs though it's a small one but having all essential items. Their prices are quite reasonable and quality is good. Shop timings are also convenient. Owner and staff are honest and helpful.”
“Love the meat counter and the plants. The meat is a great deal with the best marinades. Every live plant I buy here is thriving. The live plants always last a long time!”
“I stopped here because I was driving by and saw the prices on produce. This was a small market but they had a lot of stuff. Produce was ok but definitely reasonably priced. The people who work here are very helpful and friendly. I was very happy to stop by here.”
“So far so good. Got here at 2am for a 4am appointment and they put me at a dock right away and started unloading. Just make sure you bring cash for the gate fee. $25”
“I have shopped here at the Tiburon location for at least five years. The food is fresh, meat is amazing as well as the daily buffet! Especially love the manager Johnathan who is helpful & kind. Love Vince the butcher & chatting up Niners-Giants talk!! Great store all around!..Great staff!”
